Although small, the bedroom had almost everything you'd need - the one negative being an inexplicably short blackout curtain, which let light in at the bottom. The bed linen was clean and fresh, and the shower fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and particularly the 'bottomless' coffee policy. The location of the hotel in the middle of a pedestrian shopping centre was really appealing too.

There were two brown smears on the wall near my bed, which seemed a bit suspect and gave the room a bit of a seedy feel (it was 304, if the hotel is reading this and wants to try to clean them). The aforementioned short blackout curtain could be easily fixed, to deliver better darkness. And the door didn't close by itself, so a little alarm went off every single time we went in or out. Again, this could be easily fixed. These are minor quibbles though, compared to the general comfort and welcome provided by this hotel.

As this was our 2nd stay at this location it was great to see some familiar faces with many staff members still working at the hotel. Close to local train and tram services with direct train to and from schipol making the q hotel a cheap and convenient choice for those travellers wishing to travel in and out of the city centre with just a 5 minute train ride or sit back and enjoy the tram taking approx 30 minutes 😀. Was all fantastic

This is a hotel which will divide people, we loved it It is styled in an industrial way, but that is part of its charm, it is all part of the aesthetic and what makes it a cool place to stay. It is set up with a type of traveler in mind, so for people looking for identikit rooms, a concierge who knows the local overpriced restaurants, and branded shampoo this isn't really for you. If you want comfort, interesting people to meet and speak to, music and dancing in the air and a sense of the night starts here then it is. We will be back, hopefully soon.

An oversight, but there was only decaf in the room...

Clean, shower is nice, very good location with lots of shops, places to eat and drink, bus stops, tram and train around.

I asked for two physical keys and I was told to use the digital one sent by email, that one wasn't working anymore after the third day, and when I asked for another key the guy told me he could only provide me another physical key/card by presenting my passport, after that I went to my room to get my passport, came back I showed him, he looked surprised and said "So you went to your room to get the passport?", I said "yes", he said " Then the key is working?", I said "This one (the physical card) is working, the virtual isn't", after that I realized that this guy thought I wouldn't be able to get to the room and it made the whole situation awkward, how sad life that person is. Please provide physical card for all necessary guests not only one.

Hotel is large with several floors of rooms. The rooms are reasonably sized for a value hotel. Floors are polished concrete. Hallways have rugs. There is a common room with out-of-tune pianos and a couch. There was a refrigerator in the room. The shower was very nice. Comfy bed (we had 2 singles). There is a bar / cafe on-site with reasonable prices and a decent menu. The staff at both the hotel and bar were very helpful. There are three markets in the plaza and a few other places to eat. The hotel fronts a plaza with no cars (Uber drivers can't drop you at the door).

No air conditioning. We made the mistake of leaving the window open all the time and got a lot of bug bites. There is no washer / dryer on-site. The property is fairly far away from the train station (about 15 minute walk) but fairly close to metros & busses. It is away from the tourist sites (museums, old downtown / red-light district, Anne Frank house) but the metro is easy to use. Not much storage.

I travel alone and felt secure and safe at this location. It is quirky and cool. Often music right outside the hotel and having a bar for a drink at the end of the day was a bonus. I stayed over a week and enjoyed everyday.

No laundry facilities on site. I participated in many tours and they extended past the 5:00 cut off at that the Wasserette nearby. Even this wasn't a problem because right next door I was able to get a few clothing items fairly cheaply to make it through my entire stay. I enjoyed this hotel greatly!

The hotel has a 4 star rating on booking but it is in fact a 3 star

My expectations were very low, but the room was super comfy! Especially the BATHROOM! This was the best shower I had during my whole Europe trip - great water pressure, clean, glass door, lots of space. The tall ceilings make rooms feel bigger too.

There was no AC, which was a bummer in the summertime heat. I know this is pretty standard in Europe, but unfortunately my room only had a tiny window, so airflow was minimal. Really hot and stuffy.

Balcony

Balcony didn't have any lights and was very slippy because of the green mold Fridge in room makes a weird noise I had to leave it in the door way because of it Bathroom had a weird smell which made it hard to be in the room having a wash Concrete flooring wasn't great needs a carpet of some sort No wardrobe so most of clothes had to be on the floor or in my bag, yes there is a hanger but it's awkward because of where it is

Lovely place for music lovers! Who can say they slept in a hotel with studios, stages and music memorabilia? We had a wonderful time. By foot, it took us a little over than an hour from the hotel to the city centre, so perfect location for us. Lovely staff at the bar as well... Also really liked the 12 o'clock check-out ;-)

Cleanliness could have been better: It wasn't filthy but there were plenty easy to clean areas that looked worse than they should have. Balcony had no cover, so it's not really useable on a rainy day.
