I was arriving after midnight on my first night but they were there to check in without issue, so helpful. The hotel is directly across from the train station so easy found and easy accessible. The hotel was tastefully decorated, very clean and the staff were so pleasant and keen to help. The room was beautifully decorated and again, extremely clean. Breakfast was excellent and available to 11am which was appreciated. All in all I could not fault this hotel and I’ve booked to stay again already.

The hotel is centrally located to everything you need and walking the entire area is super easy to navigate. It took only minutes and I was down at the canals and the shopping/walk ways. My room was quiet, spacious and clean, the bed ultra comfortable (can’t remember when I slept that well in a hotel), had a refrigerator that worked, a coffee maker and a water kettle. I will definitely stay again.

Bathroom had a tub with no mat and a really high wall that made getting in and out of it dangerous.

the staff were very friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. The room was spacious, imaginatively furnished and very nice as was the lounge downstairs, where I sat quite a lot. I reallly liked the "history wall" where using photos and printed material the history of the hotel was outlined since the 19th century. I would love to go back, it is almost a reason for re-visiting Leeuwarden

the muesli at breakfast was okay, but not the best.

Very friendly staff. Was able to get a bit earlier check-in, which was much appreciated, as we got to Leeuwarden much earlier than expected due to the efficiency of Dutch transit. Room was outstanding & comfortable, with unexpected free minibar!

Tiniest issue was that I didn’t know what number to dial to reach front desk (a 9 instead of a 0). There wasn’t really a paper guide or directory in the room. But really, that is the only issue I could come up with🤷🏻‍♀️

The positives - the breakfast certainly exceeded my expectations. They had lots of veggie options, including eggs, mushrooms, beans, jams and fruit and everything was very tasty. They had freshly squeezed orange juice and even Schulp juice which is rather expensive. And as someone who loves coffee, their coffee in the breakfast area was fantastic! I loved the "sugar bread" that they served which is typical to Friesland and I think was a very nice touch! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and they have a variety of pillows to choose from depending on how you like to sleep and how soft or hard you want your pillow. The location is really perfect - right opposite the Central Station and in the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My neighbours in the room next door were rather loud which meant I struggled to sleep, however the staff at reception were sympathetic to the situation at least. My mini-bar was not refilled two days in a row which was a bit irritating...but this issue was sorted when I mentioned it. Overall would certainly stay there again if I found myself in Leeuwaarden!

the room we had was what we asked for with a double bed and very comfortable, especially the pillows.

the air conditioning was left on all day and on one day the window was also open very wide. It was very cold after a long day out exploring! The water had not been replenished and there were no cups to have a tea or coffee in.

Really nice hotel in a nice location in Leeuwarden. Friendly staff, they were just great. Fast WiFi. Parking available at a good rate. Overall, we really liked it and I would certainly stay here again if back in Leeuwarden.

We booked a "double or twin" room - I selected the "double" option, but it turned out to be two twin beds pushed together. Not the end of the world, but those twins tend to unexpectedly separate. I assume the actual "double" was not available, so if you're a couple - learn from my mistake and double-check what you are getting.

Everything was excellent.

My personal preference would be to drop in for breakfast when I am ready and I don't necessarily know the exact time the evening before... I ended up having to miss breakfast on final morning as had to leave earlier than expected as train schedule had changed and only realised this in the morning - pre-booking slot for breakfast should be an option not a requirement, particularly at quieter times! Otherwise fantastic stay and breakfast is lovely!

This is an hotel which lots of history, we enjoyed watching the photos of the past and its nice to see that they are trying to maintain this. Location is perfect.

We would have preferred the shower apart from the bathtub. We couldn't use the parking garage below the hotel, but they gave us tickets to use a parking garage close by which costed us 10 Euro per day.

Very Nice place ro stay where our grandchildren and family could visit us. Very close to the train station.

Surprised that we need to pay more for night 2 and 3 than first night. Last nigh was the most expansive. This was not good and not at our agreement. There could have been unbrellas and city bikes for renting in/near the reception.
