This would be the best hotel in Wageningen. It's classy and old style. Bedroom was huge, each are decorated/dedicated to a famous person/style. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection and was good. There was no dedicated fridge in the room, but could be rolled in from the corridor if required. Well located on the town centre (shopping, bars, eating), and a short walk to the bus station for access around. Evening restaurant is very upmarket.

The bus station is also only 200 meters away from the hotel, so it is very convenient to go to the campus and other cities. The room is large enough, the bed is very soft, and there is a desk for work. If you come to Wageningen for a visit or travel, staying in this hotel is a good choice.

Love the quaintness and history and above all the incredible staff. It’s like coming home! I was there to take care of my daughter after a surgery. They brought me a delicious meal to the room so I wouldn’t have to leave her and complementary delicious wine… exactly what i needed after a long hospital day!

We had a verg comfortable room up in the attic with a delicious bed! But the dutch damp weather made tge room a bit musty, i would suggest airing more and or drying the room/bathroom more

The Hotel is perfectly located in the inner city of beautiful Wageningen. You can park right behind the Hotel. Everything is in walking distance. I personally woke up to sunshine, walked to the beach, on the way back forth watched the warmth and welcomeness of Wageningen unfold. The management even increased the water pressure of the showers since my last stay, which was my only hint of unsatisfaction. Wonderful! Always again!

Excellent location. Very nice breakfast room area, large, nicely decorated. Very large room (Gandhi room) well furnished. Comfortable large double bed. Good variety of food for breakfast and excellent service. Coffee machine and kettle in the room.

The bed cover too warm for the season. Just a couple of miserable hangers in the closet. No mini bar (no refrigerator).

I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel de Wereld. I was not aware that it had such an interesting history and I enjoyed the info displays that give you more info about the historic place that you are staying at. Each room has a different inspiring theme (eg. Gandhi, Vaclav Havel, Malala Yousafzai) which is a nice touch. The facilities were also excellent. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfy and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I could not make use of the restaurant options as I was visiting for a conference but hope to do so in the future. The location is very convenient near shops, a gym and bus stops. It is just under 2km from most of the main university buildings, which is perfect when going to conferences. It is also close to some lovely nature areas (Arboretum Belmonte, Wagningse Berg, rivers, etc) that make for nice strolls or runs in the area.

Things got a bit noisy during the evening, but that is the combination of an old building and inconsiderate guests so not really anything that could be improved on by the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located in Wageningen to walk into the old city or to other parts of the city. Parking is just behind the hotel at no cost. Everyone needs to have tried out sitting in the swing next to the hotel at the main street, when the sun is going down. Marvelous.

Only that the shower water pressure was so low, that I had to stand next to the wall for getting wet. I hope this is solved in the future.

Lovely location in this pretty town, with restaurant and terrace. The historic hotel is of great interest with each room themed to a Freedom Fighter. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Lovely restaurant for dinner and lunch. Dog friendly except the restaurant.

Generally happy with accommodation and convenience to town. Convenient private parking at hotel. Loved the history and character of the hotel and town. Would certainly consider going back.

We did not eat there as set menu and dietary requirements did not fit into our plans. Lighting in room was poor. Breakfast could have been more imaginative.
