It was comfortable and extremely clean

No milk for cups of tea. Also did not like the sign that asked you to keep kitchen clean or something to that effect as a surcharge would ensue. When you pay $170 night I'm not there to clean up. It really annoyed me because I'm a clean person anyway and an adult and didn't appreciate it. I know it's not personal but it was irritating.

Easy check in, great sized pool. Perfect for 4 of us (3 children). What we loved was Paknsave/Warehouse/McDonalds/Gull only a 2min walk. Central for our Cape Reinga trip. Quiet and only a min drive to town. Best KFC ever! Good value for money with the 1 bedroom suite (4 beds). We'll be back 100%.

Too much chlorine in the pool. My kids eyes burnt and the smell was still so bad even after showers 🫣 You could hear when the next room was showering, loud pipe work but we weren't bothered too bad. Tables outside our room too close, cigarette smoke from others kept coming into our room from both sides. Perhaps dedicate a smokers area by the swingset? Need aircon, fans don't do jack!

Loved the convenience of the central location. So close to Paknsave, The Warehouse etc The pool area was great, nice and close to our rooms. The little playground area was cute! Staff were very friendly and approachable!

- Had to pay $4 per person for the spa, but the rule was 30 minute intervals to allow other guests to use the spa. - No aircon in our 2 bedroom unit - No kitchen storage for food - Mini fridge in 2 bedroom unit which sleeps 6, fridge isn't big enough for that many people

Could have been more duvet's available as the night was rather cool, had a look in the cupboard, nothing there, we were ok but definitely need extra made available.

The hotel was quite good, it met our expectations for a relatively budget priced hotel. Thanks to the items in the room (crockery & cutlery) we had no problem making our own breakfast. There was no air conditioning, although a large fan was provided to assist with cooling the room. I guess that was the price point for the hotel.

The room faced the afternoon sun, as a result when we got into the room it was very hot. It would have been beneficial if the staff had closed the block out curtains during the afternoon to limit the heat getting into the room. A large fan was provided which assisted with air circulation (as mentioned the room was not air conditioned), although the room didn't really cool down until well into the evening.

Great location for a Cape Reinga experience. The room was tidy and there was enough there to cook our own meals. The owner's dog was very friendly and came for a visit (potentially because we were cooking meat :) )

There could have been a few more plugs for charging and there was a crack in the shower, which were to be fixed after the holiday period.

Spacious unit down the end so very little traffic noise.. Good hot water, comfy beds, very clean. No air conditioning but there were four fans in the unit and the Patio doors both opened to let the cool air in. Next door to supermarket which was a bonus.

Only fault I found was the door key was hard to turn and jammed every time.

Smooth Checkin. Rooms have a lot of space. Absolute clean and tidy. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy beds. Towels had been changed daily. Staff really helpful and great hospitality. Would definitely book it again!

All good. The next step of renovation could be a new carpet and curtains for example.

We've been to most types of accommodation as we love to travel and this one exceeded our expectations. Firstly, it was right in the middle of essential shops. Secondly, it was so clean and fresh-smelling. The lady in the office gave us extra towels though the ones provided in the room were already good enough for a family of 4. Lastly, it had everything we needed: comfy beds, complete kitchen, clean toilet & shower. Would definitely recommend this place 👍🏻

Check-in was very smooth and they helped us get the room set up for our needs. The location is convenient and the Pak'n Save next door has very good hours. We were in unit 9, the furthest from the road and it was quiet.

North American traveler, and the switches for appliances are confusing. A user guide would have been appreciated.
