These apartments are in a brilliant location. The heart of Queenstown is a short walk away and you get a parking space (which are hard to come by in Queenstown), but you are far enough away from the town that it is quiet. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, which we found super-handy.

The apartments are a little tired and could do with a bit of investment. And, while some of the apartments do have a "Wakatipu View", some of them do not so do not expect to be sitting looking at the lake in the evening.

Nice quiet place, plenty spacious for two people. The washer and balcony were nice bonuses. I would definitely stay here again. Super good location too, easy enough access walking to downtown, and a designated parking spot.

Our only issue with this place was the check-in. We booked last minute and received immediate confirmation, but our unit number was not listed anywhere in our documentation, so we couldn't access our unit. We tried the phone number we were provided and also tried messaging, to no avail. We eventually asked for help from someone staying there, and she gave us a different number that wasn't provided anywhere, and we called it and that person told us our unit number. Other than this miscommunication issue, everything else really was fine.

The room was warm and cosy the entire stay - even when it was -2 degrees outside. It was also a great location/very convenient being close to central Queenstown shops and restaurants, and one car park was provided. The room was clean and basic kitchen equipment was provided.

I was staying in Unit 8 and could hear very loudly and clearly every time someone in the unit directly above walked anywhere in their room. This was particularly bad in the morning and night when trying to sleep as it was extremely loud. The shower pressure is poor. Don't try and wash your hair! It would have been great if some oil was provided for the cooktop (salt and pepper were provided). Because of these downsides I think that it was a little over priced and didn't quite meet my expectations.

We loved the location - a very easy walk to town, and having a parking space available was very helpful! The unit had suitable kitchen facilities and the electric blankets in the bed were a welcome addition!

The heater fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be giving off any heat, so was very cold, and the heater in the main room struggled to heat the whole studio well. The freezer settings were also quite low, so had to be adjusted a couple of times in order to keep anything frozen during our stay.

We had unit 1, which was a stand alone little A frame. Although close to the road we had no probs with traffic noise. There were some lovely extra touches which made it very comfortable eg tissues and laundry detergent for the washing machine. It was clean, the location was great and everything worked! We recommend Wakatipu Apartments and would stay there again

We were lucky as we only had a small car. A larger vehicle may have a problem with parking as there is not much room.

The location was fabulous, walking distance to town (down hill) the rooms had everything we required. The ability to wash our clothes (as this was day five of our trip) was a bonus. The beds were comfortable. Great sheltered spot to sun in. Would happily stay again

Slight musty smell when we first entered but that was gone when windows were opened. Car park EXTREMELY tight. Walking distance (uphill 😉) Slight noise from upstairs guest. Shower very low pressure.

Fantastic location, only a stones throw away from town. It is highly recommended if you need somewhere within 10 minutes walking distance to Queenstown central

Car parking was super small, we couldn't park our rental car due to this so had to park on street which made lugging our snow gear around so not ideal Also, it was a bit costly for the time of year, seeing that it was spring and not the height of winter

we spent a great stay at Wakatipu View Apartments! there’s everything you need in terms of equipment, you even have a washing machine for clothes! it’s also well situated, only a few minutes by food form the center. we had to work so a good wifi connection was very important for us. Fortunately the wifi connection was great! and thank you to the hosts who were so nice and welcoming! i contacted them through booking app and they answered pretty fast!

The water pressure was really not ideal. It’s complicated to wash the hair when it’s long and thick. And there is only one plate to cook, it is feasible but a little limiting.

The apartment was at the start of Queenstown CBD area, walking distance to the lake, Queenstown gardens, eating options, The apartment is a single room studio and fit for purpose and comfortable for a family of 3. We were most of the time exploring Queenstown and in the room only in the late evening. The beds were very comfortable. The WiFi was great and the TV had lots of channels and Netflix as well. We stayed for 3 days and our apartment was in the 1st floor. The place has free onsite car parking but the parking space is a bit narrow. There was also a washing machine. Nice view of the mountains from the room.
