I loved the service from the owner. What an absolute pleasure it was to be greeted with warmth, positivity, and the greatest smile. The recommendations for restaurants were a win as well and very much appreciated. The room was also spacious and great. Loved the location, so close to all arterial routes. I took videos opposed to photos of the room, so I can't share them, but we were more than happy. We will definitely stay here again.

There wasn't anything to not like, we had a great unit. If there was anything for constructive criticism, it would be to perhaps have a ledge or glass so the water from the shower doesn't spread close to the toilet and also a back up stash of towels available please 😊

The unit was very clean with very comfortable beds. It also exceeded our expectation as it included a spa bath which we weren't expecting so that was a pleasant surprise! For us, the location close to the central city was ideal and the staff were friendly.

For us, there wasn't much that we didn't like. The only minor fault being that the instructions for the spa bath stated that the master power switch was located next to the bathroom towel rail, when in fact it was in a different location. (Maybe our bathroom differed from the standard location of this power switch, but it would have been helpful if the instructions were altered to reflect this specific situation.)

The apartment was spacious & suitable for several people. It was clean & comfortable which was the main thing. There was a useful big sink to handwash clothing and a line & pegs outside in a grass area where there was also a picnic table. Enjoyed our stay here.

Could not get the oven to work and had trouble with the television. It was very loud when switched on & would not mute or turn down for a while. When switching off, it kept coming back on!! Not hosts fault but previous guests left greasy pans.

I have stayed there lots of times and usually stay about 5 nights. I like that the downstairs room I usually have has a view of an outside lawn area. I love walks along the river, just across the road, from the motel. Very friendly and helpful manager/s and other housekeeping. Well located. Short drive to town or walkable. Great it has laundry facilities and an outside drying line.

It needs some refurbishment ie painting. Looking a bit tired and worn.

It was an amazing stay, with all that we needed, and we would definitely stay here again! The unit was clean and tidy, and we were surprised with the amount of space. The children were able to space themselves out, yet not get in the way of anyone. Everything we needed (toaster, jug, coffee etc) was supplied, and everyone enjoyed their stay.

The queen size bed was a little hard for my husband, so he went and slept with the kids :) parking was a little lacking, we ended up having to park on the road.

There are no real complaints. We wanted a room with a view and were upstairs above the office with a beautiful view of the Wanganui River across the road

There wasn't anything that we found unlikeable. As a item of possible improvement I would recommend and anti slip mat in the base of the shower box. The shower box has a metal floor which is naturally slippery when water gets on it. Only mention this because I am 71 and a fall would be very bad. Like I say, we coped with this and we have absolutely nothing to complain about

The property is around thirty minutes walk to the town centre. I loved walking everywhere so it wasn’t a problem for me. Wouldn’t worry anyone with a car. The bed was comfortable and the rooms more spacious than most. The owners gave me a ground floor unit as I am an old lady and have difficulty carrying bags up stairs. They were very pleasant and helpful if I needed it. I was able to do everything I planned to do and more and thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Wanganui.

There may have been a washing line but I didn’t find one and with four nights it would have been handy. I was not there most of the time and no one was available to ask which wasn’t their fault.

The receptionist and service staff were great, and the facilities were good too. The daily service was much appreciated. I appreciate the heating as well as the temperature dropped quite a bit when we were in Whanganui.

We've stayed there two years in a row and the spa bath still not going. Although I was made aware of this earlier on when I first booked. Also, the mirrors could do with a change in both bedrooms as the glass has shattered in one area and you can see through to the wood.

The staff were pleasant, the parking was straight forward (one way system) and the grounds were well cared for. I got a good night's sleep (very little noise) the bed was comfortable.

Only really minor things: the bed side lamp was quite bright and couldn't be dimmed. The shower tap was a little bit erratic in terms of temperature regulation. There was a frying pan but I couldn't find an electric element. There were no herbal teas nor decaffeinated coffee sachets (however there are cafes in close proximity.

The room and the bathroom were large and spacious. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The spa bath was easy to use and comfortable to sit in. The kitchen had everything we needed. The lounge area had two comfortable chairs, one was a recliner. even though we were booked for several days the rooms were serviced every day. The laundry was clean, reasonably cheap and both machines were industrial-size.

As with most places the tv was too small for the room size and it was very hard to see the TV guide when seated on the lounge chairs. The weather was unseasonally hot and we were provided with a small fan (without asking for one) but it didn't have an extension cord. We could have asked for that but feel it should have been included given the location of the power points.
