Arrived into Alta on the evening bus and checked in quickly. The hotel was quite close to the bus station. As I wanted to explore Alta fjord, I was surprised to find that the hotel loaned bicycles so that provided useful transport for the local area. The black out blinds were good and the bed comfy. Breakfast was good though very busy. On the second morning, I had to get an early bus so reception arranged a breakfast to go which was good.

Everything at the hotel was fine, and it was in a good location. It was easy to find a restaurant or supermarket close by too. While the bicycle I was loaned was ok, it wasnt the best bike for cycling long distance on.

I booked the room with incorrect check in date, and i tried to contact with Booking customer service, but nobody replied me, and the lady in the recipetion helped me to change the check in date with same price.

The room was too small, and the room was for tow person, but there was only one towel and i didn't find the phone number of the recipetion, then i need to go there to get one more.

Location before the modern cathedral, breakfast enriched with traditional products and food (several kinds of fish dishes included Norwegian salmon), gym in the nearby building, sauna, coffee and tea always available free of charge. Since it was Christmas time, dinner was only a la carte, however it was a Christmas menu so we had the chance to try festive specialties

Rooms are not made up every day, you should ask for it.

Bed was very big and comfy, bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was great, as always when staying at a Scandic hotel. They had lotd of options, including gluten free and vegetarian, vegan and raw vegan. Fresh products, there were lots of tables so even when most people came to eat, you didn't feel crowded. We had to check out very early in the morning, so they were kind to provide a breakfast bag (you have to ask the night before).

Although we asked if they could provide vegetarian/vegan breakfast bag (and confirmed it was no problem), they mixed up things and only after we left, we realized we were given a normal breakfast (with salami, spread cheese&ham etc). Also, the food they gave is not that easy to eat on the go (you have to stop & spread stuff on your bread).

Excellent breakfast, very clean, very comfortable bed, pleasantly quiet, very friendly helpful staff

No tea or coffee in room, but not essential, Parking a little confusing as bookings .com indicate that parking is free when it is not.

Our 2nd time staying at this hotel, great location and with the local swimming pool next door it was great for the kids, bfast is great however we feel the option for evening meal/dinner could be better.

The restaurant can get very busy for bfast so you need to pick your time right, staff are wonderful.

Great location, huge room, amazing breakfast

Regarding it's a 4-star hotel with massive prices, the facilities are low or missing. No vanity kit in the bathroom, no iron,, the sauna& pool in another building (the problem here ar the opening hours). The gym is also there, again, cannot be used in the early morning

Good place to stay in Alta. It's located just in the center, in winter can see some northern lights just from the room. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options to choose from. Quiet at night.

Very limited cleaning during stay, usually only emptying garbage beans, towels were replaced only once during 5 days. Some renovation would be nice to make in the hotel overall. Price a bit high.

The most astonishing breakfast buffet! Nice room, nice view.

I wanted to borrow the hotel bicycle more often, there really should be more than two because I had to abandon my plans when the only available man's bike was already out.

Friendly employees ready to help. The room was nice and clean. The Wifi worked really well, and the bed was nice! The view from the room was amazing.

Employee at the restaurant kept talking Norwegian, even when i spoke English to her. She was really nice, so it gives me the impression she doesn’t speak English.
