The grand hotel felt luxurious. Staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was quite good, especially the coffee drink selection (mocha, latte, americano, etc).

The location up the hill was a bit of a struggle for my mother with her suitcase but it’s a short walk from the train station and we managed it.

The breakfast was very good. A good variety of food for all to enjoy. many local food selections to try from which was very nice and added to the experience. The view of the rooms were also excellent, try asking for a fjord view on the 3rd floor and up.

The coffee service during breakfast was not to good. Filter coffee is available for self help but to get a cappuccino or latte you need to order from the waiter and they are extremely busy with running breakfast service, so it can take a while to order some fancy coffee. The extractor fan in the bathroom seemed a bit slow, we had to keep the door open for along time to get rid of all the steam from the shower

it's s small town so obviously its in the center, and not a big hotel, but rooms are very good, and the restaurant in the lobby was extremely tasty. the breakfast has huge variety of staff and was exceeded our expectations

Cosy room with a great view to Romsdalsgonden and surrounding fjord and mountains. There is everything needed in the room and a capsule coffee machine. Breakfast is really good with lots of food you can try. Building is the one with a history, so you can have a look at the photos on the hotel walls, giving you an image of how it was before. There is really nice restaurant with tasty food and good cocktails downstairs, recommend to book it beforehand on Friday. You can book a e-bike and e-car there.

Room is a bit small with a big armchair, which makes you hard to move around. It needs to be renovated a bit, there is somewhere dust, but the room carpet is perfectly clean.

The breakfast had exceptional choice and the items were of high quality. The hotel is central and has charm. The room was clean.

Some rooms are smaller than others as can be seen in the photos. We received a very small room with a window which let in a draft - room 501, corner room, top floor. The view of the mountains was also obstructed by the hotel roof. The hotel is not cheap...at about 264 euros a night, you shouldn't have to deal with a drafty room with no control of room temperature. The bed was also exceptionally uncomfortable. I could barely stand in the morning. Water pooled in the bathroom in the centre of the room...the bathroom was quite small and cramped.

Very nice hotel. Spacious and clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. They all showed interest in were we came from and how our holiday was going so far. We had a eight night stay and the receptionist managed to rebook our initial room to one with a nicer view on the nearby fjord. Breakfast was very good and diverse. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good and the staff was extremely friendly.

We had no bad experiences at all.

Excellent central location, short walk from the train station although a bit on a hike. Although not too spacious but the room was clean, cozy and had everything we needed including an electric kettle with supplies of tea and coffee, 2 arm chairs, a coffee table and a desk to work on with good lighting. The bed was comfy. Plus we had a cool view of the fjord, mountain range and gondolas coming up and down at a distance. The included hot and cold breakfast was of good quality served at the spacious restaurant. We especially liked the fresh vegetables and fruits as well as the plant-based milks to eat with muesli. Friendly reception.

Hot chocolate in the room. More options for healthy breakfast such as nuts, seeds, dried fruits.

The young male receptionist was excellent. Very professional and helpful. Our car broke down and we booked the hotel last minute. The recovery left us in the rain near the hotel. We could not get a taxi and the receptonist arranged for us to be collected and taken to the hotel. This is was greatly appreciated as we were travelling with young children and had a long tiring day. The room was reasonable size, had a lovely view of the lake. The location is excellent and very close to the centre and nearby restaurants. Breakfast was ok but could be better.
