Lovely old property with charming living areas available for guests to relax. Generous breakfast spread. Very good service from the manager. The room was very small but had a little balcony.

We booked this as an affordable option to staying in Bergen but it is very remote, an hour away with a narrow winding road towards the end. The town itself is largely industrial and charmless. We had dinner here as there were no other options in the village. A set menu of bread, main and dessert best described as "home cooked" - steamed cod and boiled vegetables without any sauces. The fish was very fresh but the whole meal was very plain.

Everything about this place we loved. Warm atmosphere greets you as you come in to the reception. We are met by very friendly staff. Beautiful and quiet. Lovely and cosey lounges in this lovely villa with a view to the sea. We also had a balcony with our rooms overlooking the river and the garden. Wifi, TV, food and drinks. We didn't miss a thing. We will definitely come back.

Simple clean twin bed room with a window that opened out onto the fjord. Good breakfast. Easy drive to Bergen. Good price for three nights.

Beds seemed to be a little older, poking springs into backs. It would have been nice to have a little mat for the doorway to keep the dirt out of the room.

it is a beautiful little hotel in a quiet area in a separate island that can be reach so easily from Bergen via Ferry or Bridge super friendly staff excellent breakfast and dinner upon request!! excellent quality and chandelle dinner ! fantastic experience even under the typical Norway rainy weather

From the hotel side everything was nice. Good room, bathroom and beautiful summer sunset from the balcony. Breakfast was good. Hotel location itself is more of a venue place. If you do not have plans starting near the hotel, then the road is a dead end and you have to backtrack 30km to get to the main road.

We so enjoyed our stay here! The staff are absolutely top notch, ensuring our comfort at every step. The rooms are a reasonable size, feel fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable and, we loved that there was a little balcony, too. Breakfast was very good also, with hot dishes along with the usual buffet cold dishes. The maim hotel arra is lovely also, with several reception areas in an old fashioned decor. We would highly recommend this hotel and, we felt it was very good value.

Wonderfull, cozy and rustic historic hotel, we stayed at a very decent period room and had a wonderfull dinner. Excellent staff, and i would definitely recomend staying there for a very relaxing experience

Beautiful hotel situated on amazing island. Old styled and cozy. Reminds us an American houses from 1860 year. Very good combined with modern technology (room have floor heating). Very friendly lady (we assume that she's the owner) gives us very pleasant conversation and guidance where to go to see something local and breathtaking. Tasty breakfast in astonishing dining room with a view on green yard. Free parking and fast Wi-Fi connection. Amazing place and people. Highly recommend.

2 v small beds pushed together were not a double and if you rolled over they separated and nearly fell down the middle. Only fault as comfy sheets good and room lovely
