The location is very convenient when travelling by train, or when taking the bus to the ski areas. The room was quite and spacious. The hotel restaurant is a good and quick solution to get good food at a decent price, without having to walk into town with all the kids. The guests kitchen is also a good added value, although we didn't really use it.

There was only a very small closet, and for 5 people it's definitely not enough to store clothes. Cleaning could be improved.

For a two star hotel I didn´t have big expectation - so I really liked it. The breakfast was excelent, everything I needed and capucino was even included in the price - I love that. The guest kitchen was really nice and cosy. The location is perfect - easy to take the bus to all the skiing places I wanted to visit. . It is a VERY good value for the money. The staff was very helpful and nice. I will be back. Thank you.

Great budget option literally in the train station. It took me a minute to realize that you check-in at the train station restaurant. Nice breakfast in the morning, coffee and tea facilities in a shared kitchen. Windows were very good - train noise not bothersome at all. Good climate control.

One of the bedside lights wasn't working. The room is very basic (almost like a hostel, but private), but I expected that based on the price.

It is a fascinating breed, combining the old station building with a modernist hostel, in which everything is stripped to the essential, without loosing the comfort one seeks for the purpose of resting. The people working there have been friendly and helpful all the way. I quite liked this way of budget oriented stay. It’s all very central, and we explored the town easily from there.

This is an excellent choice if you are using the train to get to Lillehamer and as your base for exploring the area. Buses stop outside to go to various ski/ hiking centres and the town centre is right there for restaurants and shopping. The included hot breakfast has lots of choice and my room was comfortable and quiet. The staff couldn't be more friendly and the tourist office in the station was very helpful. Great for arriving late or departing on an early train. There are lockers in the station, so on the final day, I was able to store my stuff in the morning, ski all day, then take a late train back to Oslo. If using buses to get to ski or hiking areas, download the Entur app for info and tickets. If over 67, it's half price. I found the staff, equipment and facilities at Nordseter Fjellpark Servicesenter located at the last stop on the Nordseter bus route, about 25 minutes ride, to be excellent and the nordic skiing from there is great.

I loved the staff's attitude to my requirements. Nothing was impossible. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I love trains so the hotel directly at the railway station was a great choice. Of course there is a noise from the trains but that's what you expect 😃 I liked the cuisine and breakfast. And the possibility to have free coffee anytime during the day.

If I had to think very deeply, I would say that the ventilator at the ceiling was probably cobstantly flowing the cold air and sometimes I needed to heat the heater not to have 18 degrees in the room. But that's not uncomfortable, rather ineffective I guess.

I've stayed at the Lillehammer Station hotel many times before and it always meets expectations. It's good value for money with friendly and welcoming staff and I always feel safe and comfortable there. As well as breakfast included there is also the facility for making your own food and drinks in the communal kitchen/lounge room.

Breakfast - I did wonder what had happened to all those fried eggs which didn't have many takers including myself!

Excellent breakfast. Perfect location with easy access to bus and train. Room was simply furnished. Bathroom basic. But perfect for what I needed. Staff were absolutely outstanding. So helpful.

I was happy with everything but it is very no frills so some people might not like it there if they are used to more luxury!

Breakfast was very good with ample choice. I had a room on the third floor on the bus station side of the hotel and this was very quiet. Great location if you are based here for skiing as buses are right outside.

TV remote didn’t work to switch it off so needed to unplug from the wall each time. Also shower went cold after a minute or two. I’m now staying one night on my way back from a ski trip and on the station side of the hotel which is very noisy with the station announcements - this is very disappointing and I doubt I’ll get much sleep!

Staff was friendly. I didn't have towels in my room but receptionist fixed that right after I told her. Room was clean and nice for one night stay. Breakfast was great, you can find there everything (eggs, yougurt, fruit/ vegetables.. everything you want :)) I had room near the tracks at train station but I didn't hear any noise. Nice place to stay. :)
