I had a nice stay at Narvik Hotel Wivel. The best part of the stay was breakfast, a very nice breakfast buffet with a selection of a wide variety of foods also including local elements. The staff were kind and helpful. There was always tea and coffee available for free in the lobby. There was a nice restaurant on the hotel's lowest floor; trying it is highly recommended. I had a nice view to the city during the 24h light time in Narvik and it was amazing to look at the city and nearby landscape.

Just minor points but the light inside the room was not strong. The only way to see clearly was by opening the window. Also, despite the presence of a hairdryer in the bathroom, there was no power outlet to use it.

For visitors to Narvik, hotel Wivel is located in an excellent spot right in the city centre, just off the main road through town. There are tons of restaurants and shops right outside, as well as the Narvik War museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and my room was exactly as expected from the photos here. During my stay, there was free coffee and tea available in the reception, and some cold drinks could be purchased as well. Both my room and bathroom were immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast deserves a special mention, as it excelled both in selection and presentation. Somewhat unusual, there was arranged seating for breakfast, and a small selection of items prepared for me in advance. Staff also offered table service for what turned out to be most excellent pancakes and bacon, plus of course one could pick from the breakfast buffet the more usual items.

Unfortunately, I happened to arrive during an unusually warm day of the year, for which the hotel was badly prepared. There was no air conditioning in my room, and it was a good 26'C (or 79F) when I arrived. The large windows in my room only opened a small amount, and in any case, noises from the outside did not invite keeping the windows open during the night. I am once again asking hotels to stop building beautiful elegant bathrooms, and then sticking plastic soap-dispensers on the wall.

The room was comfortable and peaceful, staff very nice, hotel well maintained, location great and chargeable parking places close to the hotel. Decent breakfast was included to the room price. Easy to come with own car. Wine and beer and snacks to buy in the reception.

The room had a skylight window which we did not like at all. No view anywhere and hard to ventilate while it was raining. Otherwise we were satisfied to the room and the hotel. The street parking has 2 hours time limits close to the hotel, so I had to move car twice on the day we came and once on the day we left to take our car to a different parking zone. Luckily the zones were very small, so the distances were only about 100 meters each. But if You check in before 16.00, You have to move Your car at least once before 18.00 like we did. And then I moved the car once more in the evening so that car was in a different zone at 8.00 than it had been at 18.00. Just in case. EasyPark app was easy to use, the zone numbers were clearly marked by the street.

My room was an ecomomy one but it was very good, little small but i was expected that. The staff was very polite and very very helpfull. The breakfast was amazing, for the range of the tastes but also for the way they serve it because it a boufet but you have also additional choices for the eggs and personal position. It was looking not like a breakfast but like a lunch in a good reastaurant. I liked also the parking that was at a place nearby (25m form the entrance)

Only the fact that there was not an elevator. Not actually problem for me but some people feel it as problem. Ofcourse the maximum of 2 floors that you have to go on stairs is not so big deal!

Location, was great, private parking was a bonus, room was huge and very well appointed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. The selection was never ending. We pre booked our time and our table was prepared for us with croissants, cake, fruit and chocolate, that was before the main event it was exceptional.

Nothing to dislike, they were undergoing refurbishments but this did not impact in our stay at all.

The room was cute and comfy with everything we needed. The hotel provides laundry, but you don't do it yourself: we brought our clothing to the reception in the evening and the next morning early they were ready for us! The best part of the stay was the breakfast: there is a good amount of choice (even if you have allergies or are vegan), but they also serve prepared little portions of their specialties, neatly presented on a plate, which made breakfast feel kind of like a restaurant meal. Finally, this hotel is very convenient especially if you use buses: it's very close to the bus terminal which connects you to the airport and to the Lofoten islands.

When it's busy, breakfast can be quite hectic with waiters rushing between tables to get them ready on time. Don't leave the bathroom door open after a warm shower: the ventilation in the bathroom is quite slow, so all the steam would get to the rest of your bedroom before being ventilated away from the bathroom.

The hotel has an excellent location. The price quality ratio is very good. The staff was over my expectations, especially the blonde receptionist lady (I'm sorry for not asking her name); she was very supportive and supplied me with useful information about my stay in Narvik. The breakfast was OK. I really appreciated that I can easily adjust the room temperature (in many hotels this is not an easy task).

Mostly everything was OK. I do recommend this hotel. The single thing that I did not like is the light intensity in the room. Probably this is normal in Narvik (I saw many private houses with the similar light intensity), but for me it was a little dark. Put together with the dark grey walls it created a dungeon-like atmosphere. The housekeeping lady used the light of the bathroom and from the lobby to do her job. So I had to do for packing/unpacking, if outside was dark (and most of the time it was dark). In my room there was just a weak light on the ceiling at the entrance of the room, and 2 other small lights next to the bad and on the table. In spite of the fact that the room is small, some parts of it remained complete dark,

The room and bathroom was super clean, i've never seen a hotel that clean, so 10* from me and my boyfriend. The room we stayed in looks the same as pictured, so you do really get what you see. When we came to the breakfast we felt so royalty as we got seated to our table and the table was full of fantastic food, and we got to choose between scrambled eggs, fried egg, bacon and pancakes. It was amazing, we will for sure be back here. The staff was amazing too :D I am also thankful for the desk woman for putting us on the first floor since i had a surgery same day, so thank you desk lady.

The only downside which is not the hotels fault is that it was a friday-saturday stay and the city was parting like crazy and you could hear it all. There was also in the other room, people were partying till 3-4 am.

This was not the first time to stay here. The hotel has kept its excellent standards since my first visit, and continues to be my first choice when staying in Narvik. The location of the hotel is excellent, with most of the important places/services within walking distance. Staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are a bit small but clean and still convenient, with all equipment/facilities being well-maintained, clean and in excellent condition. Breakfast is rather simple (realistically, one should not expect more variety for a hotel of this size and price range), but all food/beverages are of excellent quality, and some extras (fried eggs, coffee, and the like) are made fresh and served to guests. Altogether, an excellent experience, not just for the price range of the hotel.

Excellent location to visit Narvik - calm and small hotel at the city centre, clean and well-maintained, close to all important points, bus and railway station, parking available nearby (for free over weekends). Very nice and friendly staff with really an individual service. Comfortable room in very good condition, probably newly renovated. Complimentary tee/coffee available 24/7. Resaturant in-house. And finally - one of the best breakfast service I have ever expereinced. Definitely my first choice for next visit to Narvik.
