Our superior twin room had a great view overlooking the water (much better than overlooking a noisy parking lot). We were given a quiet room at the end of the hall as requested. We couldn't hear any noise through the wall from the adjoining room. The bathroom was small but well-designed with decent counter space, so it didn't feel small. The shower was good with steady pressure and only slight changes in temperature. The breakfast was good (though there were no pancakes or waffles). There were restaurants and a bakery fairly close by. The hotel had a little "store" where one could buy snacks and yogurt. There was a 24-hour desk. We thought the price was fair for the great location.

The room is small (though that helps keep the price reasonable). The bed was firmer than I liked (though my husband thought it was fine). I also thought the pillow was too thick so used my own thinner one. There was no electrical outlet beside the bed and no bedside tables. (I used the room chair as a bedside table, which made more space for my suitcase.) There were no facecloths and no bathmat. Though there is a parking area right at the hotel, it is a public parking lot. One has to pay using the EasyPay app. If one arrives late to the hotel, there may be no parking spaces left. That happened to us one evening and we had to park several blocks away at another public lot. In spite of all the "negatives," we had a good stay, mainly because of the great location and quiet room.

Excellent 270° view of harbour in restaurant. We can enjoy the view in breakfast. The lobby is spacious and comfortable especially during the rainy days, we had no where to go, and stayed in the lobby to enjoy the view. Staff was helpful and nice to bring the luggage upstairs. Our room had the view of the beautiful Mount Floya. Breakfast was excellent with many choices.

The bed was too soft. The price was higher than other places in Norway.

What a beautiful hotel! We were very impressed with the location and stay. The breakfast was outstanding and truly worth the price paid. We stayed in a room with a balcony and used it both evenings to relax and watch ships coming in to dock.

The room did not have A/C and was a little warm even though we turned off the heat. We opened the door to let in cool air, but the balconies are somewhat connected so we could hear noise from our neighbors. It would be nice if the room had a window in addition to the balcony door.

Really nice breakfast with the ordinary dishes expected in a good hotel breakfast. The view from the hotel (and the breakfast rooms) is really nice as it almost sits on top of the water. In the distance you can see the towering mountains that are so, so beautiful. In addition to all this the tourist attractions are super close, but that should be expected as the village isn't that big. I really liked staying here!

Breakfast buffet offered lots of options. Rooms with fiord view feel like private house . Location is right in center of activities with one block walk to town. Staff was very helpful accommodating travel needs and storage of bags.

On site do it yourself laundry or laundry service would be helpful. Travelers to this region are often on longer tours. There are only 2 machines on a public dock nearby and they are not reliable.

The location on the waterfront with sunny balcony . The brilliant breakfast, Norway knows how to do a buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bathroom. Tea and coffee in room very welcome.

Room was off a corridor with a smell of rotting vegetables though smell minimal inside. It could also do with refreshing, and was smaller than expected. But the breakfast and views made up for everything!

We arrived on the Hurtigruten from Kirkenes. I could see the hotel with its bright lights from the ship and was amazed at how close it was to the beautiful port. We walked to the hotel and then I could see the ship from our hotel window. It was snowing when we arrived but the next day the sun was shining and we went for long walks as there is much to see and beautiful scenery. We had a lovely buffet breakfast too.

Location was perfect in the center of Svolvær, no more than a 10 minute walk from anywhere in town. Staff were very nice and helpful with all of my questions on recommendations on activities, restaurants, and transportation. One was able to recommend a rental car service, which I initially didn't have planned, but it worked out really great. Breakfast was phenomenal, with plenty of options for everyone. Room had a nice view over the bay.

Blackout curtains weren't quite sufficient, considering that the sun doesn't set in the summer. Light was able to leak through in the corners. Not a massive issue when we were there, since it was very cloudy and it did get a little darker late at night, but in the middle of summer on a sunny day I imagine it would be a problem. Outlets were in an inconvenient place, but that's just a minor annoyance.

Really nice hotel in a great location in Svolvaer. Staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfast was by far the best I had during my week long trip to Lofoten. Would definitely recommend staying here.

One very minor dislike. The room was a little worn and tired. It was very clean but just small things like damage to the table and a pillowcase with holes in it. It wouldn't put me off staying here again but it would be nice to see these things rectified.

The place is beautiful. It was our first night in Lofoten and it was wonderful. The hotel is a typical building, it is not modern but clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a beautiful location. Our room had a terrace that overlooked the port and you could see the cruise ships arrive and depart. The breakfast is very rich and complete. We love it
