I like the style, and design. An owner made really good job and had some really good ideas. I especially liked a set of bottles with little plants hanging by the window in a dining room and a hand shaped chair.
The only improvement I'd add is to make a ladder to upper bed more comfortable for bare feet. A ladder, that is right now is good for kids - they're light and they may not feel their own weight, stomping on the ladder bars, yet a full grown person weights much more and a 15 mm wide bar is absolutely not enough. Plus a ladder should be a separate construction, a bit distanced from a bed and sloped, for comfort and safety.

I went for a walk to see the Cathedral, passed along the riverbank with a marvellous view, beautiful houses, very outstanding architecture. There was also a public transport stop very close by, Buran, which I used to get to NTNU.
The only negative comment I've noticed about the hostel has nothing to do with the hostel, but with human beings. Unfortunately, someone made use of food that I had left with my name clearly marked on it. But you have to separate things. This has to do with the human condition, selfish, petty and false. I'm criticising the human being who was dishonest, not Hostel

Quiet location with a nice view of the city. Clean room and friendly staff. Warm blankets. Free tea/coffee and nice common room/eating area. Spacious kitchen you can use and fridges to store your food.
The ladder to get to the top bed was not very easy to climb on. And the one leading to my bed was literally behind the door - when is someone coming in and you are climbing at the same time, they will hit you with the door.. And l had no electricity socket l could reach from the bed.

Exceptional accomodation, especially if you are on a tight budget. Rooms are small but comfortable enough, facilities are clean and the showers are located in separate bathrooms (i.e. a shared room that you can lock when you use it, that contains a toilet, shower and wash basin). There is a very well equipped kitchen with dishwashers, cookware, induction stove, oven, cutlery, plates, and fridge and freezer. It wasn't too busy when i visited, so I could use the kitchen whenever I wanted and the 'living room' has an amazing view over the hillside and the fjord.
It is a little bit further away from the city center than I would like.

This place has such an immaculate vibe✨ I will surely miss sitting by my room's window watching the snow falling and drinking a cup of (free!) coffee. It's in a peaceful location overlooking the city, but it's a very short walk to the city centre (took me about 10mins). In the best Scandinavian fashion, it's spot-clean, bathrooms are well organised (individual shower and/or toilet rooms, perfect to avoid queues) and it's just so cosy. Very spacious individual lockers in the room. I was welcomed a few hours before my check-in time with free hot drinks and a space to work from, I immediately felt at home. The common area is very bright (half of the walls are windows, the view is GREAT), there's a great mix of tables (with plugs!) and comfy chairs. Honourable mention to the swing chairs upstairs. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The staff is very accommodating. I even left my backpack in their storage room, so I don't have to bring it while roaming around the city. The room is clean as well as the kitchen. They even have free coffee. The toilet is also clean and big.
The way going to the hotel when I followed the direction from the google map is difficult. It is like hiking in a slope way going to the hotel. Good thing the staff suggested me the easiest way to go to the centrum and back to the hotel.

smooth swift check in, although that also meant thank you come again see you around bye now and they disappeared like a rainbow during a spring shower. I knew nothing about Trondheim and some helpful advice goes a long way. For starters, you don't need a bike rental as every street is so sloping it will be a waste of money and there was no point in going to the tv tower, I believe they call it a tårnet, which is very unlike the one at Stavanger, absolutely no point in going there. But I would have appreciated it if the staff gave standard sight seeing recommendations such as visits to the spectacular majestic viewpoints from the hill near Korsvika and the top of reservedammen which is also a great pleasant easy short hike from town. Most of this I didn't even know about until hours before going home, I would have forever have sleepless nights if I missed out.
I booked a bed on 30.6 for a stay in mid September still I was allocated the upper bunk, which is cool, but at least give me some shelves and a decent ladder to get in and out, this one is horrendous! And there isn't much space as pictured, the magic of photographic trickery.

Nice hostel run by students. It was apparently full the first night I was here but I didn't see many people around. The female 4-bed dorm is nice, beds are actually nice and comfy, built in a way you don't feel your neighbour moving. Big kitchen available. Nice dining area. Nice views from the hill. Apparently enough showers/wc on my floor, never had a problem. Very cheap opportunity to use the washing machine/dryer from the students dorm next door. 20' walk from the city centre. Pool room. Big kitchen and common area.
The ladder to the top bunk can be a bit tricky for some people. You need to walk uphill.

The hostel was clean, the kitchen very well equipped and there was coffee/ tea provided which was much appreciated. Laundry facilities were available at the next building which was great. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful! Much more so than other hostels we had stayed at in Norway.
Just be aware if you are walking to the hostel that it is up a steep hill, so perhaps ask for public transport directions if you have mobility issues.

Very friendly staff working there. Clear instructions on how to access the room and the parking garage. There's a free laundry room also which is great for travellers. Good sized room and communal areas. I had a private room, very clean and comfortable. Just missed having a TV in the room but that's a small thing that you obviously wouldn't find in a hostel. Good location, about a 25 minute walk into town centre.
