Very good breakfast and location

- The view from the room. We were upgraded to a suite with a double view onto the sea and onto the lagune, on the 4th floor. Very good. - The dinner and breakfast buffet. Great choice and excellent food. - The modern room - The very nice staff

- The noise in the room. The rooms are sound isolated, but not suficientlt to absorb the noise of the highly frequented road by the side of the hotel. - The location in the middle of no where. It is difficult to walk outside, as we have to cross highly frequented roads. - The dinner/ breakfast room, very impersonal. - The driving exit. There is no sign saying that by turning left, we take the 4 lanes road against the flow, which is very very dangerous.

The hotel is modern, rooms are clean and well appointed. Beds and pillows are very comfortable and shower is good. Overall, a very quiet and relaxing stay. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to explore Al Ayjah and the eastern Oman coastline. There is also an excellent take away coffee shop next door to the hotel Would recommend staying here as this hotel is good value for money.

The restaurant is a bit hit and miss although you can easily find healthy, light food on the menu and in the breakfast buffet. There is enough choice to keep you going.

Huge modern bedroom and generally well designed hotel. Bed huge and comfortable; great AC in the room. Staff were amazing- fast and friendly F&B service; the GM is ex Marriott and it shows in the general hospitality and vibe. The dinner buffet was very good and there’s an extensive range of foods for breakfast too. Beautiful pool. Well worth the stay- wasn’t expecting it in Sur.

Cold shower second morning. The dining hall lacks character. Was told the pool and jacuzzi were heated- but they definitely were not!

Very, very friendly hotel team. Reception, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Hotel Engineering are performing at their best level. Very good sleeping comfort with very good mattress. Good breakfast with fresh cooked egg-options. Restaurant team is remembering your individual favourites. Offering special breakfast for sahur. 24/7 complete reception service. Very well equipped Gym. Nearly unlimited parking.

Hotel management should inform the clients before booking about construction activities in terms of the hotel extension. There are extremely loud activities between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. In addition, the hotel management should inform the clients before booking about non-available services such as the swimming pool, because of the construction works. Best regards, Ralf Bahling

I say this from the bottom of my heart that I could not recommend another hotel more than Sur Grand Hotel! We had 2 flat tires an hour out of sur at midnight. Hotel had 24 hour reception, Hussein picked up within a few rings and was so reassuring, chartered a taxi back for us and arranged for everything the next day to help us fix our tires even though it was a weekend. Owner of hotel even came down to send his regard and make sure we were ok. Truly wonderful experience of Omani hospitality! Other than that, room was impeccable, had a free upgrade with balcony view, breakfast was sumptuous

The staff is lovely. The hotel is not the most modern or « stylish » one. But it’s nice, functional, clean. The restaurant is quite good and not too expansive, room service is also possible. The room was very calm. There is even a sauna, which we could enjoy until quite late. Location is very great in between wadis & turtle beach. It’s a great stop between muscat and the desert.

We were pleased with the high standard of the generous-sized, well-furnished rooms. The beds were comfortable and a large breakfast buffet prepared us for our travels the next morning. Upon arrival, our greeting from the manager exuded warm Omani hospitality and we experienced excellent service throughout our short stay.

Our only complaint was the many electrical switches. It was a bit of a game to determine which switches operated which lights/outlets. A minor inconvenience.

Lovely big room on 4th floor with a sea view. Huge comfortable bed, massive floor length windowa and spotlessly clean.. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of food. Located 10 minutes drive from the town and close to the highway. Lots of free parking.

There is a lively promenade but probably too far to walk to the town which is quite large from one side to the other.

Good location by the promenade with a sea view. The rooms are very clean, the bathrooms spacious and there is hot water round the clock. Vijay at reception was efficient and courteous and had us checked in , in a jiffy. The breakfast was basic but tasty and did the job fine for a one night stopover in Sur.
