The exceptional pleasant staff, who were very very helpful to ensure that our stay was Great. My gratitude goes the Front Desk Manager, Mr Mugesh & Mr Jaga who were always ready & available to advice & assist us on all queries. My gratitude also goes to the helpers Mr Mohin & the restaurant staff who were able to accommodate us when the place was crowded. Then again I must compliment the Great food that we ordered for Room services. This was very the best trip I have had in Oman since my work started in Oman in 2022. I will definitely make such a trip again to Sur & stay in Sur Plaza Hotel. What more can about the stay in Sur. Such a Great Experience...

There was nothing negative at all. No reason to complain..

This was a last minute booking with almost no alternatives. And you cannot expect much from a 2 star hotel, but this place is actually very decent. Rooms are clean, facilities are in good working conditions, staff is friendly and helpful and they even have shisha by the pool in the evening. Breakfast was better than what you would expect for the price - they even have an omelette station snd something else of that kind.

You really cannot compliant considering what they charge.

Good room size, firm bed, bathroom fully functional but a little dated. Hall carpets a little worn on our floor. We overlooked the main road. There was road noise in the room but it was not that noticeable with the drapes closed. Good breakfast options and variety. Their staff all very nice. They do have an alcohol service/bar, but options are limited and prices high even by the standards of Oman.

Everything was fine for a one night stay, and we recommend the hotel given the price and quality. More variety of better quality alcohol options would definitely improve the experience of staying here.

Hotel was lovely, pool lovely, gym excellent, staff very attentive. Mattresses not bad and they did give a selection of hard or soft pillows which most hotels don't offer as standard. Probs 7 out of 10 for good nights sleep. Gym was excellent and had a personal trainer there in the gym for free who was awesome and very helpful.

The price of food and drink in the hotel was outrageous. Hence never ate or drank there. They are definitely missing a trick here considering you could get a great curry in the next door restaurant for £10 uk for 2 people or down at sur beach for just slightly more.

The hotel bar was a nice surprise, as was the enormous swimming pool and well appointed gym. Breakfast was decent, and the bellman was very patient and attentive. The stained glass in the lobby ceiling is worth the visit on its own merit!

The room smelled quite stale upon our arrival, as if it hadn't been occupied for months.

This hotel had the feeling of a lovely old fashioned hotel. We booked the Family Suite which was 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms connected by a hallway. So very spacious for 3 people. I am not sure what the description of our room meant- ‘this suites special feature is the pool with a view’ so thought we may get a view of the pool. But this was not correct? It was no big deal though. The staff were very professional, and really nice to see staff in suits behind the counter. The room was rather bland and non descript, but it was all we needed. The breakfast included was tasty and ample. The hotel is apparently 25 years old but seems more old fashioned than that, but in a good way. It was pristine clean, and had an incredible domed ceiling of stained glass. The pool was pretty average but anything is good when you are that hot. The rooms look down into a central internal reception area. The reception foyer had beautifully decorated areas/nooks eg nautical theme. I would stay here again.

The best hotel for all of our stay in Oman. We booked 3 rooms for our group of 6 people. It's not just our rooms, but the entire hotel is very clean. The bathroom was also clean and smelled great. The location was convenient for us to explore the beaches close to Sur. We went to a hidden beach called Al-Khesah which is about 30 mins drive from the hotel. The beach was pristine and completely empty. This is no doubt one of best beaches I've ever been to. It is also convenient to drive to Bidiyah from this hotel.

The hotel is located on a busy freeway so easiest to travel to by car. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our luggage and welcomed us in with tea. The general vibe of the place was very nice and felt traditional/authentic. The rooms were a good size and in particular the showers were very spacious.

The breakfast could have been better even though they had all the standard breakfast buffet items there were limited hot dishes for vegetarians/vegans.

- The staff is awesome! Always friendly and attentive, which makes you feel a little bit like in a 5* hotel. - All amenities (pool, gym, ...) are well-maintained and impeccably clean as were the rooms. - WiFi is not the fastest (I think they limit the bandwidth to 3 Mbit/s per user) but really stable and reliable. - Their restaurant (Oyster's) serves awesome South Asian food (check the 'Appetizers' and 'Side Dishes' section of the menu). Try their dal and paneer dishes!

- The street outside is really noisy during daytime as well as nighttime, which is of course not the hotel's fault. - I personally found the bed a little bit hard, but that's an individual issue of course.

The hotel interior was very nice. We could sit down in the inside courtyard and enjoy a welcome Omani Coffee with Dates. The pool adjacent to the restaurant makes for a great after dinner drinks setting and morning breakfast setting. The breakfast buffet was delicious and has a lot of choices.

The hotel was situated on a busy street, so depending on the direction you travel from, you may have to make a U-turn to access the hotel parking.
