Best location you can get. Right next to the main plaza, and in a historical alley. Easy to get to anywhere. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staffs are very friendly. You can store your baggage here if you are going to the Inca trail.

The room was quite small. There's no protection outside of the windows, so I don't feel safe to have my window open while I'm out, bc someone can open my door by reaching their arm across the window.

This hotel is 100% perfect on all accounts. I have been using booking.com throughout the past 2 1/2 years as a digital nomad and this hotel unequivocally is one of the best I've stayed in. I can't say enough good things about Katari. From the gracious staff who genuinely want to make sure your stay is perfect, to the lovely old world charm of the hotel itself combined with newly remodeled and modern rooms, to the expansive breakfast buffet, to the lovely overall vibe...nothing is missing. The shower was big and had a rainshower with excellent pressure and dependable hot water, and the overall bathroom space large (which is welcoming since I usually have to store my tolietries in the bidet (hahaha), the sheets were exquisite, the bed incredibly comfortable and the decor was absolultely lovely. There are two closets and additional storage space, a dining table and lots of room to spread out. Free coffee and coco tea at various "stations" in the hotel and even a lovely living area to hang out. And, the location is ideal - just two steps from the Plaza De Armas but also off the plaza so it was quiet. I got a bad cold the night I arrived and the whole staff was so helpful, supportive and concerned for me. It felt like family. Maribel was a bright light of joy every morning, serving custom made breakfast options in additional to the buffet. She is the best - so kind, so gracious and spoiled us all with her wonderful character. She is a gift. Thank you all!

Everything, literally everything, was perfect

Loved our stay at Katari. The location was the highlight - wow it was so fantastic to be so central and in a very historic part of Cusco. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was nice each morning and you have the option to choose from extra items such as an omelette or scrambled eggs. The second and third floor can only be accessed by stairs.

Our shower didn't have a good screen or shower curtain to stop water from leaking on to the whole bathroom floor.

We stayed here after a long day of going Machu Picchu and traveling back to Cusco. Everything was perfect, from the staff to the room. They’re conveniently located in the center near all restaurants and attractions. The morning that we checked out, the front desk even called a cab for us to be able to get back to Cusco. Not only did she call a cab, but she walked us out and made sure we got in safely. Everything about this hotel was great and we would definitely recommend choosing to stay here!

we stayed here two nights- the first night was on arrival to cusco with an early morning train trip to Machu Picchu, and the second night was on return to Cusco with an evening flight out the next day the first room was reasonable - spacious, adequate bed and bathroom facilities - adequate for our purposes the second room was significantly better - still spacious, felt more modern and had better light good breakfast, central location with great access to touristy areas staff helpful and happy to store our bags while we were in MP, and then while we were exploring Cusco before our flight

no lift - be prepared to carry bags up stairs if you are not on the ground floor

The staff was incredibly helpful, from the moment of check-in, advice of where to eat, accommodating to leaving our bags for days, and a wonderful attitude. The breakfast was very good and I appreciated the made to Order eggs in addition to the small but perfect buffet.

While the triple bed room was not updated like the pictures, (old room with dark wood and old bathroom), the other advantages of this hotel make this issue minor

We stayed in a room with three beds on the second floor with a window. That was a plus; some rooms don't have windows—plenty of room for two or three people. There is a heater in the room if needed. The bathroom has hot water; however, the pressure is low at night. Good breakfast and a clean room, all thanks to Maribel and Rosita. Helpful desk staff, especially Nohaly. Close to all restaurants, bars, and attractions in Cusco. Good Wi-Fi on the second floor and so much on the first floor. Starbucks is next door. Overall, it was a delightful stay.

The noise. The walls are thin, and you can hear everything around, but that is nothing new in Cusco. You can get used to it.

Excellent location for picking up tours and site seeing. You are in the heart of the action where this hotel is located. It is on the main square of the old church in Cuzco. The breakfasts were fresh and eggs/omelets cooked fresh upon request. Lovely set up and all the employees were very caring and helpful. A cautionary tale from me to you, DO NOT drink the local tap water. I am not sure where it happened but I contracted Hepatitis A during my 6 day stay in Peru. I did drink the tea... Needless to say hot water does not mean boiled water. Get a Hepatitis A vaccine before you go to Peru and save yourself the horrors of that disease...Other than that, my stay at this hotel was very pleasant.

Some taxi drivers are unaware of this hotel from the address, so tell them you want to go to Starbucks in Armas Square. Also, the taxis the hotel can arrange for you are half the price of ones you arrange for yourself.

Nothing but positive remarks! The staff at reception were always helpful with providing advice and answering questions and quickly addressing concerns. The bed was very comfortable. The on-site breakfast was more than sufficient. After long days of tours and hiking, it was nice to have this comfortable room to come back to! The hotel is located right on Plaza de Armas so numerous shopping and dining options are easily available within a couple of blocks walk in all directions.

Close proximity to plaza Des armas. Quit and comfortable. Hot string shower. Plenty of clean towels and toiletries. Very pleasant front desk. Plenty of matte de coca and breakfast spread to please just about everyone's taste buds. Able to hold our bags at checkout for another enjoyable afternoon in Cusco.

The beds were a bit firm but the pillows were wonderful!! Temperature in room difficult to manage for 4 people. One was comfortable and others were a bit warm. With windows open would be very cool at night in June
