From the airport, I went to the hotel at around 6am with the intention of just leaving my luggage, and later checking in at 2pm. But Ryan at the front desk was very kind enough to let me know that I could check in already for a minimal early check-in fee. Since I already had a packed morning schedule in mind, I opted to wait until 2pm. But it's nice to know that the early check-in fee was not as expensive as other hotels (usually half the room rate). The room was exceptionally clean and cold. Perfect for the April heat! I particularly appreciated that Holiday Inn rooms have a bidet, which should be an industry standard in the Philippines. Breakfast was amazing. I would consider this as one of the must-try breakfast buffets in Cebu. I also had the opportunity to order cordon bleu via room service, delivered by Cobe. The food took a while, but it was understandable since I ordered at around 8pm. Kitchen must be busy catering to dinner guests. Food was still warm when it got to my room. The location of the hotel is also great. There is a waiting shed in front of the hotel where taxis and jeeps would pass by. The hotel is also easy to pin on Grab. Denmark, the guard at the front door, gave great suggestions for places to visit around Cebu aside from the usual tourist spots, since I had already had city tours during my previous visits. For its price, location, service, and food quality, Holiday Inn may be my new favorite hotel in Cebu.

Admittedly, the hotel wifi was under maintenance during my stay (Apr. 16-18). Fortunately I have my own pocket wifi, but this might be a hassle to some guests who rely on hotel wifi.

The staff was excellent in helping us find our way nearby. Found a couple of great restaurants at the ayala mall nearby. Had breakfast at resraurant of holiday inn 7th floor, huge amouuntof choice, buffet type, very tasty, some of the usual that you find all over the world of course aand some local delicacies like the dried fish dangit, an acquired taste i should say. But staff very helpfull when i dropped a piece of cake in the middle of buffet area, it was gone and cmeaned before i had time to say anything and just apologised, super team work. Very good choice of excursions from lobby. Lots of must see in cebu. Be mindful of the basilica dress code, cannot enter in shorts and need long sleeves top.

It s a bit too far to xalk to any of the monuments, is the only bad point. Obviously take taxi or jeepee.

The hotel is quite new, the lobby smells nice. Rooms are well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and my room had an amazing sight to the city (16th floor). The staff is super kind! I spent 2 weeks here and by the end they remembered me and we even chatted with a few of them. Food is great, there are changes in the breakfast menu every day (although the majority is standard). Very good location, just 5 minutes on foot from the Ayala center, the surrounding area is safe and clean. Ayala has some amazing restaurants too.

The air-conditioning in the room is a bit noisy, but not bothering

Good modern hotel in IT park district, close to Ayala mall. Room was clean and spacious, with nice city view. Hotel team is also nice and helpful.

The only downside is the restaurant. Breakfast was decent - good egg dishes, you can find cheese and veggies (although fruits were really sad). But dinner was total disappointment. Only ginger tea was good. Tom yum has nothing to do with the original, squid was half cooked and stuffed with raw onion, chicken was barely ok. It’s better to eat something in 7/11 around the corner.

The breakfast buffet is amazing. Everything you can expect from wherever you are. From French croissants to Maki sushi or hummus, garlic pickles black olives and prosciutto to different type of breakfast cereals, cappuccino coffee or cucumber ice tea, soft eggs à la coque or mexicain pattatos to traditional filipino rice breakfast or ceasar salad. It's all there and service is great. The bar choice is the weak side of the small but well designed swimming pool. With reduced variety of alcohol. The view is great but the only smoking allowed area is in the parking, not great for smokers. No smoking area in the outside pool and bar. So I will never go back there and will look instead at another hotel with balconies where you can live your life choices in the respect of others but without being ostracized.

Very unfriendly to smokers, no design to accommodate life choices in harmony for everyone comfort.

This hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Cebu City, with easy access to any kind of transportation you may need, shopping, and restaurants. It's easy to get to from the airport via taxi as well. The property itself is impeccably clean, well maintained, and the rooms are very spacious. The breakfast is phenomenal and I highly recommend it if you can make use of it! The beds were very comfortable, the wi-fi was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly as well.

The TV was out for the entirety of our stay here due to "changing providers" so that was unfortunate, but otherwise I don't really have any complaints about the hotel at all.

I've stayed here 5 times now and the breakfast buffet is always good with good selections! The shower pressure is always good (never had a bad experience) and the water is always hot, hot!

every time I've stayed here the breakfast buffet food is never hot and barely warm! If this establishment is to make the buffet experience exceptional then the buffet food needs to be heated better, or provide microwave to heat the food. The only food that is hot is the fresh made omelette,, congee and the ramen/noodle station.

Great location being right at the Cebu Business Park and within 5min walking distance to Ayala Mall and 2min walking distance to Anytime Fitness gym with a great park opposite the hotel. The hotel was pretty clean and had a welcoming atmosphere at the reception with both staff and overall ambiance and decor. Room was reasonably sized with comgy bed and pillow.

Wifi was a start-and-stop affair and was quite disappointing. The hotel was also having some contractual issues with the service provider for cable TV, so the TV wasn't working for the duration of our stay. Otherwise, everything else about the hotel was pretty good.

Breakfast was OK. good selection, but somewhat repetitive if you stay more than 3 days. The room was really nice and clean and the bed and pillows were to my taste. Had several good night's rest. Staff are very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

The WIFI was a bit unreliable on the first day (may have been a problem with my computer's WIFI modem). The pool is a bit small, and maybe just good for a dip and very short swim. May be good for only smaller children. Adults will find it constricting.

this is my second stay at this hotel and it was awesome. As I stated in my previous review, the shower and bathtub were amazing! Even though the hotel water pump was under maintenance, the water pressure was unbelievable. I have been to many hotels and this is the only hotel where I have been able to take a completely awesome, hot, hot shower. The shower nozzle had a massage function that was invigorating! I'll say it again, I would come back here just for the shower and water pressure. The buffet was good and had an excellent variety...the caveat is (just like most buffets in the Philippines), the food wasn't hot! I don't really understand this. In the US in a buffet the food is always hot. But the quality at the Holiday in is excellent, so I can't say too much. As per my last stay, the room was immaculate! Clean, clean, clean. The bathroom was shiny, shiny. I appreciate this as most 2-5 star hotels I've stay in have water faucets that are loose and have horrible water spots all over them, like they haven't been cleaned. In addition, the hotel staff were truly impeccable. Always cordial and smiling and eager to help. Thank you Holiday Inn for the service you provide. One more thing, Holiday Inn is just a short walk to Ayala mall, so no taxi is needed. I will be back!

Like I stated in my previous review...the pool is just a wading pool and it's right next to the restaurant. You can't really swim in it because it's tool small. That being stated, it doesn't really affect my rating of this place. One last thing, the hotel rates are a bit steep as I booked the standard king room which has a bathtub but with a shower as amazing as Holiday Inn provides...you don't really need a bathtub! Next time I stay I will book a standard suite.
