The best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were always eager to help with any situation that came up. Whether it was helping with booking us tours or scrambling to get an alternative ferry ride because of a canceled ferry due to mechanical problems. The location was optimal. Within 3 minutes to all amenities such as laundry, ATM, police station, restaurants, motorbike rental, tour companies, entertainment , gas stations, ferry terminal, and dock .Bonus ...the lobby of the hotel was outfitted with a few tables and chairs for guests t congregate and the lobby had a coffee and hot chocolate dispenser available for just 5 pesos.

The air conditioner was effective but pretty loud and the water pressure was pretty low. No hot water but that seems to be the case in many hotels in Palawan.

AMAZING location - 1 min walk to the beach! Staff were very accomodating and even set me up a temporary bed to sleep for a few hours till my room was ready! The younger chef was very friendly and had an amazing special going, and even gave me a free meal for helping her sort her fish tank out.

Toilets on 2nd floor didn’t flush properly, and it was hard to take a shower without flooding the whole bathroom.

What i love this property is very near from the beach and cafe, everything is walking distance. Ay sobramg mura ng price nya, i booked mine for bed bunks but they upgraded mine in private room ❤️

They asked me to pay a glass of water. First and last time I’ll book shared toilet accommodation.

The location is downtown so everything is accessible.

No free breakfast this time. It seems like their dining area and kitchen is not operating at the moment. It's very hot because the ceiling fan is old and rusty. I can't even feel the air in the room. It's so hot and humid at night. The shared bathroom is too cramped and tiny! They should have combined the two split bathrooms instead.

The staff was extremely nice. Ready to help and book attractions for you, always smiling.

The shower pressure was not so strong, the bathroom could’ve been a bit more clean or furnished, the light was not working.

We arrived at Austrias GH as walk in guests but the rate was better online. The lady behind the reception counter was lovely and had a good sense of humor. We got the last room available on the ground floor. The rate for 3 pax was 2.500PHP which was quite good and the chill out / smoking area in front was nice as there were plenty of plants. The staff was very helpful and obliging. Water pressure was good so was the location. Thanks for having us.

The ground floor rooms need a bit of air circulation so first you need to open all windows. Humid A/C smell. Unfortunately everyone who walks to the first floor can look into the room. Concerning room size and bed: Two small queen size beds work probably for a family with two kids but is too small for grown ups. Be careful with the sink in the bathroom as it’s shaky. You don’t want to hold on to that. We know that these microfiber towels which are horrible for the environment and on the skin are widely spread. The towels here were another level having the style of thick plastic flannel 😂 but clean. This place is good for someone who is looking for a private room in town but doesn’t want too harm the wallet too much. Wifi could also be better.
