The air-conditioning in the dorm room was extravagant and I liked how the beds looked very traditional. Their lockers were convenient because it had three levels: the topmost one you could use to put your essentials such as toiletries which you'll be using all throughout your stay, the second one is where you could lock away your valuables, and the one at the bottom is where you could stash your luggage. Water is provided for free and there's a heater. Lots of scooter rentals nearby and next to the hostel is a small restaurant serving cheap food. I mostly ate there with my daily dose of instant pancit canton. Lastly, the owner, Jess, was very easy to talk to and considerate. When I told her that I needed to leave earlier than my scheduled departure because I needed to take care of something in the city, she refunded me two nights in a heartbeat and it could have even been three if someone booked my bed for the night I left.

There were no hooks in the bathrooms so hopefully that could be added in the future. One of the bathrooms has stagnant water on the floor after someone showers. Quite a small common area although there's a countertop and high chairs which you could use for working. Nothing major, but just thought I'd point them out as rooms for improvement. A fridge would also be a nice addition.

The hostel room was clean and the staff were friendly. The location is very close to bars and restaurant and a few minutes walk from the beach where the sardine run is. The hostel offers snorkel rent too. The room has AC and each bed had a locker and small shelf, plug socket and lamp which was a nice touch.

The dorm is very close to the reception where the staff like to play karaoke through a speaker. They’re good singers and seem to stop around 9pm but when it’s been 3 hours and your next door to them it becomes abit much if your trying to relax and have some peace and quiet or an early night

The hostel is in an excellent location in the touristy part of Moalboal. The location right on the main road may be disturbing for some but the proximity to restaurants and the beach was great for us. The hostel is very clean and its small size gives it a homey vibe. The staff was very helpful with arranging tours, answering any questions, and renting snorkels. The room had working AC, towels were provided and the a la carte breakfast was delicious.

Our room did not have a window which may get a bit depressing for longer stays. Also, the room door was quite thin so any conversations in the lobby in the evening or early mornings felt very loud in the room. During our stay in Moalboal there was a scheduled blackout due to maintenance and of course, the hostel could not do anything about it so we don't blame them but providing some small amenities like dispenser of fresh water to clean hands or a torch light for the room would be helpful.

Everything was perfect. Nice dorm, nice working aircon, nice and clean bathroom, towel included. They also provide some tours. The location is on the main touristic street, 10min away from the sardine run spot. You can also rent snorkel from them.

First of all, I really liked the design of the room, especially bamboo-made beds. It was a small place but enough to accomodate 6 people. Location is great from the beach, and breakfast comes with was also good. More importantly, Jess and Gay, who work at the hostel, were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this hostel for those who come to Moalboal. Thank you.

Not really, there were mosquitos bothering me but not really a failure of the hostel as it was tropical climate.

The other guest unexpectedly caused a noise with heavily drunk attitude in the early morning when everyone normally fell asleep.

Ohlala feels like home. Jess and Gay are perfect hosts and a lot of fun to have around. They always ensure the place is clean and tidy. This is not a party hostel, and if you want to have a good night sleep with lovely people around, look no further. Also, breakfast was delicious! The position is excellent. You can walk around everywhere, and it's so close to bars and restaurants. Great value for money. I ended up extending my stay for another 6 days!!

Location is perfect, close to many shops, restaurants and the beach. They have snorkelling gear and offer the canyoneering tour (I recommend it was really fun!). The room and bathroom were clean. The aircon was working well and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I checked out 4 hostels in this area. This was the quietest one which is absolutely what I wanted. I can go out an party and know that no one is going to keep me awake when I return. I like that is is smaller, that means it is always clean and that you don't have to compete for the bathrooms. There is plenty of space to hangout and even some games if you are into that. The closest restaurant is across the street, and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Jess has some discounts on canyoneering and knows where to rent the cheapest moto if you are into that! 10/10

The staff help you whenever you're in need of advice about a tour or if you need to arrange travel. It's a small hostel which means its more peaceful. Great value for money and the location is ideal for just about everything. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for something a little more easy going during your travels.
