Location was great, end of the road had the new food court which we ate at most days. Also close to the beach and dive shops which is why we came to Moalboal. Was nice having two beds as we could use one to layout our belongings for the following day. Table and chairs inside was great to do some travel on too. Free coffee and water is always a nice touch. The host family were really friendly and polite, and we loved their cats.

There were quite a few ants and 2 cockroachs (1 huge, 1 baby) that were in the bathroom which made us feel a little uneasy. They ended up leaving back into the walls. There was also a bit of mold and just general wear and tear within the room and bathroom. Taping up cracks on the ceiling will only last for so long...surrounded by roosters, guess that is everywhere in the Philippines though right!

Accommodation is great and well located between town and the beach. Run by a lovely family who can’t do enough for you, very attentive. It is a very relaxed and secure accommodation. Free coffee and water available at all times was a nice touch. Organised tours, motorbikes and airport transfers for us. Beds were comfortable and AC was great. Would highly recommend.

The location was excellent, close to the sardine run and within walking distance to places to eat at night. The staff are very friendly and were very welcoming. The room is basic but perfect for those that are outdoors for most of the day. Free coffee and water available!

The roosters are loud in the morning and it is close to the road so motorbikes are loud! Not the properties fault, but if you are a light sleeper it’s advised to bring earplugs.

Big comfortable room with 2 queen sized beds and ensuite bathroom. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Their 5 year old daughter was very sweet :) would recommend staying at west side cabana

There were ant like bugs on the floor in the room but I think that's the case in most places. We also had a cockroach in our bathroom but the owner came to the rescue to exterminate

Excellent family run, small resort in a great location for exploring Moalboal. The rooms were spacious with good Wi-Fi and facilities. The family running the resort were extremely friendly and helped us with any queries. Good value for money compared to other hotels in the area. Able to book a wide range of tours and hire good quality motorbikes. Would recommend for anyone staying in Moalboal.

The air con wasn’t the stringers and we were a little hot at night.

A great place to stay in Moalboal. Our room was small but very comfortable. The hotel is run by a lovely family who make you feel welcome and can help with booking excursions. The hotel is located on a quiet street but within walking distance of the main road and a great food court for dinners, there is also a good laundry place a two minute walk down the road.

The owner, Igie, was really sweet and helpful. The location was great too, about a 10-15min walk from Panagsama Beach (where the restaurants are).

The room was generally clean but a little dusty at times (though I don't think this can be helped as Cebu's surroundings always feel dusty). There was no hairdryer in the room which was a little inconvenient, and the "blanket" was a mere sheet which made it quite cold at night despite us turning down the AC.

Our staying in west side cabana was amazing, the best we had in the Philippines! The family that owns the place are always smiling and ready to give whatever information you need. They have also a kitchen that they let us use it. Little iriana became my best friend with her sweet smile. We’ll be back for sure, thank you for everything!

All we can say about West Side Cabanas is that after 5 days of being treated with care and wonderful service, we would recommend this simple resort to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly resort that is not only clean and safe but is also a 5 minute walk to good restaurants and the snorkelling beach where you can see the sardines and turtles. Arlin (hope the spelling is correct) is a wonderful hostess who does everything to ensure her guests are happy and well cared for . The beds were simple and comfortable, A/C was quiet and worked well, water pressure was sufficient and finally the internet was mostly very good. Both Arlin and Christian who manage the place, helped us with exchanging money in town which is 5 kms away and also downloading pictures of the whale sharks from a new complex waterproof camera, and we are indebited to them. They go out of their way to help their guests and make them feel welcome!

The cabanas and the property need little things that need fixing and should be done sooner than later. Moalboal itself has lots of garbage on peoples properties and they don't seem to care. There are also many flea infested, mangy, starving dogs that is heartbreaking to see.
