The location is a challenging drive up through the Serra de Monte Junto mountain villages, many roads I had not driven before. Upon arrival, we were met very graciously by the host. The room accommodation was nicely laid out. The water for bathing is nice and hot, something that is not always found in Portugal. The bathtub is a nice deep soaker, however, as an older person, I found it difficult to get out of the tub. The communal dining area is an exceptional Portuguese layout. The grounds have been manicured for a very relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, I had come down with a fever at this point in my travels, and I was unable to appreciate the accommodations to their fullest.

Location ! Perfect distance to Lisbon and the surroundings (Sintra, Mafra etc.), whilst having the best of the Portuguese backdrop ! Great hospitality right from the start, ease of check in (we got in at 11pm), and the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a comfortable one. Thank you !

Nothing - it was great !

Great breakfast, nice place, great host. We booked a room with balcony but there were some late time issues and we stayed in another room. It was spectacular but with no balcony and no view. Clean and enjoyable place. We'll come back for sure.

Comfortable surroundings, beautiful private and quiet spot at the foot of the mountains.

The bed was too hard for my liking, but my husband found it comfortable.

The staff went above and beyond to meet all our needs and requests! Kind, generous, wonderful people! The room, the atmosphere, everything was great! The tiny pool was lovely and refreshing (gorgeous view to the mountains). Fabulous breakfast!

I enjoyed the quietness of this place

The first night was not pleasant due to the fact that our room was.on the road front but the owner change.us foe.the second night and it was.a.real game.changer.for.us.

the bad linens was amazing, the room and bathroom well cleaned, decorations was amazing and we felt like home. very well located, proximity from Lisbon, beach and countryside all in one. best choice ever

Just the weather that "prevented" a dive in the swimming pool, but it's not the hotel's fault!

The terrace was the highlight, the housemartins hunt in the afternoon, and watching the moon rise over the mountain. Great breakfast, with homemade jam.

Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and direct access to the outside

It is not so very well isolated. If you want to sleep longer in the morning, it might be a bit noisy upstairs and from the kitchen.
