Hotel has the best location in Faro! Staff all speak amazing English and are super friendly and helpful.i have found this in general of the Portuguese people. Hotel breakfast buffet fantastic complete with soothing live music, pool large and has great bar. All rooms seem to have a balcony we overlooked the Marina which was amazing.

Minor things but easy to improve on. No lights on the balcony so can’t read outside in the evening. Shower screen is not wide enough so even if you shower carefully water still gets all over the floor. Nowhere to hang your towels to dry after use.

Piano playing at breakfast was a lovely personal touch for the mornings. Great views for plane spotting at the top of the hotel. Breakfast had a nice variety of options with fruits and pastries being my favourite. Location is brilliant by the marina for boat rides. Hotel is near cafes, shops, bus station and train station. Local area is perfect for a peaceful stroll. Local Park called Alameda is small but had a small water fountain and peacocks. Forum Algarve is a shopping mall that is about a 25 min walk or a 5 min taxi ride away.

Shower was okay but not as powerful as a normal one.

The check-in was quick, and the staff seemed friendly. The location is brilliant, it seems to be central to everything. The live music in the breakfast room is a nice touch, as is the wide variety of food. The bedroom is good value, it's not extravagant but the bed is very comfortable and the room had most things we needed - as I said, good value.

The air conditioning in our room seemed really hard to control, which led to me waking a couple of times to try to adjust the temperature (however, this would not put me off staying at the hotel).

Room quite small, but sufficient. Comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast very good; wide variety of fruits and both continental and hot items. Good local breads. Location - fine. Just as we expected. Very central, easy foot access to all of Faro, ferries, busses and trains. We used the small fridge to store our water, milk, wines and so on.

I was unable to receive the wifi signal. Logged in easily, but no internet received. It would be good to make the whole hotel, including balconies and pool area, non-smoking. There were times we had to close our balcony door and use the air-con to create air movement, albeit recirculated air. Wasteful. Occasionally a lot of outdoor noise at night - unavoidable for such a central location. However, closing the balcony door cut off the fresh air and the room (small) became stuffy. We had to use the air-con on full to compensate.

The location & the range of foods at breakfast

Reception area with plastic tree blocking desk. No fan in windowless bathroom. Shower screen does not extend -thus floor gets wet. Tiles in walk in shower showing signs of age. This was in a superior room.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of fruits, roasted vegetables and the usual traditional breakfast. It was set in a room with a superb view over the town marina and the nature reserve beyond. There was also a pianist which created a relaxed atmosphere. The room was fine. It had a kettle with tea bags which was welcome. We had a balcony with a lovely view over the marina. The hotel location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from the bus station for the airport and the beach, as well as the railway station to explore other towns, and the ferry terminal to Faro Island. The staff were all very nice.

Because of its central location and proximity to the water, it can be noisy. Ear plugs helped.

Great location and view of the harbour from the room, a well kept and modern feel to the hotel. I saw negative reviews regarding the breakfast prior to booking but must say the breakfast buffet was very good, options for all dietary requirements and tasted fresh. Whilst potentially separate to the hotel, my partner visited the salon on the first floor and had a lovely experience with the lady who runs the salon. Valet/porter staff were very friendly.

Only real complaint that stops this being a 9 or higher is some of the coldness of some of the staff. Appreciate it was not prime season but check-in was a pretty miserable experience with a relatively long wait for the room to be available, and overall it didn’t improve much over the 5 nights. Despite this I would still book here the next time I’m in Faro.

The location is excellent; right in the heart of the action. There are many things to do within a reasonable walking distance including the train station to take trips to other places along the coast. Having a balcony view over the marina and especially seeing the sunrise made it more memorable. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. An excellent way to start the day.

The marina side of the hotel is noisy, especially if you leave the balcony door ajar for some air during the night as my room was uncomfortably warm. My first night was so noisy I think I heard every known noise to man; people shouting and talking loudly, pumping music, vehicles, airplanes taking off, trains passing. Tip: keeping the balcony door closed will significantly reduce what you hear. My second and third nights were less noisy with the balcony door ajar, as I still need some cooler air to keep the room comfortable.

The location was perfect, right in the centre of Faro near the harbour and easy to get to from the airport. The train station and bus station is nearby for excursions too. The staff were incredible, very attentive and friendly - it was my partners birthday while we were there and they suprised us with a birthday cake and sparking wine! The breakfast was great with good variety, and piano played during breakfast. We stayed in a standard double room with marina View, I'd recommend getting the marina View, it was stunning and the room was a great size for us (we stayed for 3 nights).

We found the room got hot and was hard to cool down even with balcony doors open, and aircon didn't work as was centrally set to heating only due to it being December (so I imagine this wouldn't be an issue other times in year). Noise travelled quite a bit and it's in the centre so as expected it can get a bit loud outside at night if there are events going on, we weren't bothered by it but if you want a quiet getaway just something to concider.
