The Salty Lodge was paradise!! We were greeted by Joana, who was so pleasant and extremely helpful! She not only checked us in but gave us information about the many things to see and do in Lagos! She went above and beyond her job…..cannot speak highly enough about her. The apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable. You could not ask for a more central location in Lagos. The facility offered bikes, beach towels, beach umbrellas and chairs. Awesome beaches within walking distance! The rooftop was exceptional for an evening nightcap! We had a magical holiday in the Algarve and the Salty Lodge played a big role…..cannot recommend them strong enough.

Everything was perfect!

The Salty Lodge was beautiful and a perfect location in Lagos. Our room, 4B, had incredible views and was a perfect space for a family with young children. Our kids loved the bed with bunk in the kitchen.

The location is great to explore Lagos. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and you are welcome with complementary coffee and fresh oranges. kitchen is fully equipped and the code to enter the room and hotels is very appreciated since you don’t have to worry about a key when going to the beach.

There is parking available in several options 7 minutes or so always but this is more than understandable due to the central location. Among the complementary items they could include salt and oil, since as visitors using the kitchen they are very much needed but if every person has to buy si no other that are only available in big quantities it’s very wasteful. The opening times of the reception is a bit restrictive specially when checking in at 3.

Very central, great location! Despite no physical reception it was super easy to check in and check out - super quick and efficient communication. We were also able to check in an hour earlier. It’s close to everywhere you need to go and explore. They give you a very helpful map with locations to see and free bike rentals. The rooms were clean and very beach town aesthetic. Would def recommend staying here in Lagos!

Property was centrally located! Right outside lodge was restaurants and bars. Less than 10 min walk from beaches. Paid parking less than 5 minute walk & free parking about 10 mins walking distance. Very clean. Staff were super friendly and cleaning services provided. Coffee offered in the room was very nice as well. Loved how spacious the room was and AC worked well. There was also a cute roof top area. :) I would def recommend to family and friends.

Hard to get in with car because it is the old town. One way roads were tiny. After certain time you are not able to drive through so you would need to get dropped off by the church and walk with luggage. So for anyone with lots of luggage just keep that in mind. But the walk from drop off point is not bad it’s about 1-3 minutes. I wouldn’t let this determine whether or not you stay there. I still would recommend to stay here. :)

We had a wonderful time at the Salty Lodge. From booking to check out, the staff were incredible and couldn't be more helpful. The accommodation was amazing. We arrived before the check in time and were able to leave our luggage, but we could also use the downstairs seating area as well as a penthouse area with amazing views! The penthouse had a bathroom with shower which we could use if needed as well as a water and coffee machine. Lots of comfy seats which we used throughout our holiday when we wanted to get away from the rest of the family! We had apartment 4B which had an amazing sea view and was large and spacious. A double bedroom as well as another double and single bed in the main living area catered for up to 5 people and I think the couch folded out but we never tried it so cannot be sure. The double bed in the bedroom was so comfortable - we slept incredibly well thought the holiday. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and came with lots of crockery and other kitchen implements. We loved the location too being right next to the street with the main restaurants and bars but far enough away for it not to be too noisy. If we ever come back we would 100% book this place and apartment next time.

Nothing. It was a great place and would stay again if we every visit Lagos again.

Roomy 1 bedroom unit. Bathroom very updated. Everything, including sofa bed very comfortable. I believe the main bed was a full/double, not a queen. Upstairs terrace was great.

Wish there was a coffee pot in room. Also, just a heads up. The hotel is on a street that looks like a pedestrian walk. We drove very close before thinking we weren’t on a proper street. So when you are checking in, the street is for cars and pedestrians. Once you check in they will tell you where you can park for free.

Fantastic location right in the middle of the historic town. Very walkable neighbourhood in an area (the Algarve) that otherwise requires travelling by car (although Uber and Bolts readily available). Photos of the property are accurate. The place is well decorated and has a convenient layout, especially for those who also need to work/rest inside. The place is spotless, AC works well to fend off the seaside chill in the winter, great water pressure for hot shower; and front desk staff kind and helpful.

Nothing really. A reading light would be helpful for those who stay longer terms.

Staff were very helpful. Great location for all amenities like food stores, bus and train stations, and restaurants. The rooftop area was a real surprise and a wonderful place to sit and relax and check the views across the bay. A definite plus in our opinion. It was relatively quiet as it was January, but we are sure it would be noisier in the summer. It was nice to have a code to the entrance and room rather than a card. Everything was spotlessly clean.

As we mentioned to the staff, all rooms should have their own coffee machines instead of having to visit the lobby to make a cup. It was nice to have some bicycles to choose from, but they need lots of maintenance and TLC. The internet was spotty. None in the bedroom at all. It was being looked at but not fully functional at all times.

We loved our stay at The Salty Lodge. The staff communication was outstanding before and during our stay. We had a one bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the main town. The room was really quiet and the beds very comfortable (2 twin beds pushed together to make a king). We had everything we needed including a fully outfitted kitchen. The roof top terrace is an absolutely bonus - great place for a drink and to soak in the last rays of the sun. The location is awesome - two doors down from the convenience store for supplies, restaurants everywhere, and so close to great beach walks and cliff side hikes. We would highly recommend The Salty Lodge and hope we get a chance to return ourselves and stay a little longer this time.
