I went with my partner for our New Year Eve and we were very satisfied with this apartment. THe check-in was flawless and easy, and the staff very responsive and flexible to our needs. The accomodation is a very nice apartment, renowned, clean, and furnished with a good taste. The kitchen is well organized and has the basics you need to cook something easy. The bathroom was very well lit and equipped also with a small but useful heater. The shower is very comfortable, large, and equipped with a niche where you can put your shampoo etc. The living room has a comfy sofa and a table with chairs. Overall the apartment is well lit and has a very good natural light. The neighbourhood is very nice, on top of a hill and 5 mins walk from Bairro Alto and a cool miradouro nearby where we had NYE party. There are also very good restaurants all close at walking distance. The nearest metro station is 15 mins walk, as well as 20 mins walk to reach the downhill Time Out market, the train station that connects with Cascais, and the Placa do Commercio.

All was good! I would suggest some more kitchen towels and tablecloth - would be appreciated.

Great room for the price with basically everything we needed. The staff were really helpful: gave us some excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants, and helped us work out how to use the safe! Good location; peaceful neighbourhood, some shops/restaurants nearby, even a little park to sit at in the evenings. I'd definitely stay here again!

Some other reviewers note that the stairs are very steep, but while they definitely are, we didn't have any trouble with them personally. Only downside for us was that we could hear other guests sometimes (e.g. doors closing, footsteps on the stairs, voices from upstairs), though it really wasn't too bad!

The apartment was very nice and had all I needed. The guest house reception area was just opposite. As a female solo traveller I felt safe. Fabulous location in a little square with a little park area. Little restaurants around. You can get a coffee or glass of wine and sit in the park after a busy day touring. They also do delicious breakfast baskets delivered to your door, on request. However there are little cafes within 5 minutes walk. It's about a 20 min walk down into the centre. So much to see and do in Lisbon. Its a stunning city.

Can be quite noisy at times in the apartments as you can hear others comings and goings.

Lovely location, renovated heritage building in a charming area. Every staff member was kind and attentive - taking time to give directions, arrange a tour, check on our safe/late arrival, checking for a misplaced earring. Communication was prompt and helpful prior to arrival, during our stay and even afterwards. Do yourself a favour and sign up for the breakfast option at least one morning of your stay, even though there are cafe options nearby - it was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and included the best pastel de nata we had encountered yet, after a full week of studious “research” to find Portugal’s best pastel de natas! 😉 The bed was perhaps a little extra firm than our liking, but we still had a great night’s rest and would definitely stay there again!

We had a well renovated one bedroom apartment one level up at 5 Rua de Palmeira. Apartment was clean and well laid out. Good kitchen, neat lounge with floor lighting and good shower and bathroom. Beautifully shuttered windows. Lots of neat little restaurants / tapas bars in the area.

Main bedroom a little small but works well with the rest of the apartment. Down hill walks into town (around 15 mins saunter) were interesting but up hill walks back from town can best be described as challenging.

This place is such a little gem. It's a 15-20 min walk from all the major attractions in Lisbon, and just down the road there's a little square where people gather in the evenings to have a drink and chat, with lots of little cute restaurants around. It's literally the perfect location for exploring yet on a quiet street so you can rest properly at night. But what makes this place amazing is the staff. They are so, so kind and polite and always trying to make things better for you. Before even arriving they sent me a message to ask if I preferred a double bed or 2 single beds! They are very responsive and friendly, perfect hosts

Things that didn't bother us at all but might be worth others knowing - the property is at the bottom of a big hill so sometimes when you want to visit certain places you have to go up that hill which might be a challenge for some. There is also no fridge in the room (but we didn't need one)

All good, I would come again.

2 small points. The apartment is a bit hard to get fresh air. Once you open the window, some car passes by and all the gases you can smell instantly in the room. I bought my own dish washing sponges for being clean safe, but for some reason the cleaning lady was always using it, when I was not in the apartment. When I returned I always found my sponge lying on top of one that she provided. In the end I asked for a new sponge. The cleaning lady gave a dirty dish wash sponge, that she brought from somewhere downstairs. But that is not the problem if you don’t mind it or will hide your sponge haha

This was a nice guesthouse to call home for a few days. Located in the the Principe Real neighborhood, it is easily within a couple of minutes walking distance to several restaurants. This was helpful because after a full day of walking around Lisbon in hot weather, walking about a few minutes to get dinner was fine with me. The room was small but clean and had its own bathroom, which is a plus for me.

So the guesthouse, which I suspect, like many of the houses/apartments in the area, has steep sets of stairs. Also, the hallways were quite narrow, which I did not expect. So that takes some getting used to but I didn't find it a big deal. The WiFi was sometimes spotty but once you could connect to it, it provides good speed.

The room was a good size. The girl who checked us in and out was helpful and friendly. The shower was strong and hot and the bed was comfortable. I felt very safe in the building. It was very quiet the first night.

It was a lot of uphill walking to get there and there was no elevator. I had help with my luggage upon arrival but had to struggle to get my suitcase down a long very narrow staircase. And as a senior, it was difficult. Unfortunately people who were there the second night were very loud and inconsiderate right outside my room.

Staff was very welcoming and open to all suggestions in communication about the check in and check out and about questions about the city. It was nice location just outside of the busy areas as Bairro Alto and in the pleasant neighborhood where it felt safe. Room was interesting, basically as attic on the last floor, it works to its charm. Beds comfortable.

Room is not convenient for taller persons as in the shower or in the room, you could hit your head or you have to bow a little bit at times, but for a short stay it is not a big fuss. And also the famous stairs, they are really small and narrow and how needs to get to upper floors it could be a bit of a challenge to someone.
