Just opened, this hotel is a unique pearl in the area! Really wanted to keep it as secret retreat for ourselves, but the amazing staff deserves public kudos.

Couldn’t stay longer

We had one of the nicest hotel experiences for years. The most amazing part is the team at Puro Dão Hotel & Spa. They are making your stay a wonderful experience and you cannot wait to book your next trip and bring your family along! Thanks for everything, from check-in by Wilson, the well prepared, comfortable and spacious rooms, a wonderful breakfast and the very attentive staff!

Nothing.

The room was very big, with a big balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff was super friendly and we were lucky with the entertainment that night. We had a lot of fun! We enjoyed the SPA in the afternoon, dinner at Tertulia and the evening at the Bistro Bar. All amazing! I was staying with some friends at the bar and a group of men approached us and they were a bit drunk and made us uncomfortable. The bartender intervened and made sure we were ok. We really appreciated this!

I think the only down side was the fact that the SPA was very overcrowded and the temperature of the water wasn't great. The connection between the indoor and outdoor swimming pool is a great idea, but the temperature of the water didn't really allow for a nice "spa" experience. Also, I think the room is missing some small details, like more hangers for the towels and a bin near the sink. But again, these are more suggestions as the hotel is already pretty amazing! :)

Great atmosphere and excelent service The hotel is very recent and it feels very confortable and cozy, we chose a larger room which was a good option to enjoy the hotel (2 adults + 4yr)

Indoor pool temperature was cold which was disappointing. Reported to be 26-29, but closer to 26 most likely. The hotel is not quite kids friendly and the spa is a showcase of it - filled with several couples quietly on their mobiles - but our child had quite some fun going from indoor to outdoor and vice-versa

We found the hotel on a whim for a one night getaway and booked it only an hour and a half before arriving in the evening. The hotel was super responsive, helpful, polite and has everything you needed. The staff was fantastic, food was great, location beautiful and convenient and facilities are great. It’s an excellent price point so we’re giving it a very high rating. The restaurant is fantastic too!

Note that the walls of the room so let in a little noise from the hallls and neighboring rooms but it’s not bad. This place is well worth the stay!

Really nice hotel to relax and take some time off for yourself. Breakfast was good and complete. Staff helpful and friendly. Book the restaurant when you book the hotel, can be full as it is a must visit place in the area.

The view is nice but some houses on the side are really close. The temperature of the pool could be a bit warmer on the winter.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff, really clean 👌 The restaurant food was amazing and the facilities were great. Would most definitely return.

Only criticism was the hot food at breakfast wasn't hot. Apart from that it was am amazing breakfast, beautifully lay out with lots of selections.

Really pleasant rooms, nicely decorated. Amazing breakfast with homemade jam and cakes. Staff was very helpful and nice!

Options to eat nearby were very limited, restaurant was fully booked and hotel bar didn’t have many options and capacity to function properly.

Breakast was very good. The spa was very relaxing with the indoor/outdoor pool was perfect. Nice to have specific times for families.

Orange juice for breakfast could be natural. The restaurant is ok, but a bit pricey for the service/food. Personally dislike toilets in the bedrooms separated only by glass.

basically the only decent hotel in Nelas, brand new, nice decor, early check-in, room upgrade, good hamburguer

expensive, no TV in the bar, no outdoor swimming pool, friendly but very slow check-in, no information about restaurants or other things to do (wineries, sports, etc.)
