There was nothing to complain about this amazing property

The location is perfect. At the end of the main pedestrian shopping street. We were able to walk everywhere from this location and when we were lazy, it was super affordable to Bolt to and from. We were able to park our rental car right around the corner to unload and load. The hotel recommended parking garage is about a 5 minute walk away and is big, clean, safe, and reasonably priced. The hotel has a modern, bright, clean aesthetic. Our 3-person room was huge. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge. Great water pressure. Lovely soaps and nice towels. Our room was super quiet. The breakfast was very good with a great variety, well stocked, and in a hipster space with a courtyard view. The check in and check out were seamless. Appreciated the large elevator for moving our luggage. Good wifi. Appreciate the refrigerator in the room.

I'm struggling to find any faults or concerns.

The hotel was beyond my expectation. It was in an excellent location at the start of the pedestrian street of Sta Catarina with major sites within walking distance. It's modern, cozy, very clean; breakfast had a variety of warm and cold dishes and the bedroom was very clean with a soft bed and bathroom with modern fixtures. The best of my stay was the front desk staff, the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever met. Camilla, Illary and Jorge were always there to help. For 2 mornings, I had early meetings, the hotel prepared a sumptuous breakfast bag of drinks, sandwich, pastries, fruit and a chocolate candy stapled onto the bag! Internet connection was excellent. Oh yes, it has a lift:-)

The location of the hotel made it convenient for getting to the main attractions and because of proximity to the metro stations the airport was easily accessible and taxi transfer not needed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff was also appreciated as guests were made to feel welcome. Excellent breakfasts! Very clean. Would happily recommend staying here and hope to return for a second trip.

More of a suggestion that a dislike. If any improvements were to be made perhaps including some sort of hotel bar for drinks in.the evening as this would add to the outside seating area which is under utilised.

Very nice hotel to stay in, it felt quite luxurious. The room is large, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is very proper. They even have Rituals soap! They offer breakfast on demand, so if you don't want this every day, you don't have to. You can just go on the day itself. It was a very nice place, would definitely come back here again.

It is a bit further out of the center and going uphill to the hotel. In 20 minutes however you are at the Cathedral, but should you have trouble walking, a good thing to keep in mind. It is close to the metro stop Bolhoa though, and there are lots of stores and restaurants closeby.

At first, we were a bit nervous about booking this hotel because there were no reviews. After we read online that the hotel only opened last month, we understood why there were still no reviews - and we decided to give it a try. And we are so happy with our decision! The hotel is in the BEST location. you're literally on Santa Catarina street, which is the most fun and entertaining area for tourists. All the known shops and small local stores, shopping malls and bars. A lot of people traveling the area. Also, it is SUPER close to all the more historical attractions. As I said, the hotel is brand new so everything is clean and new. The staff is very friendly, especially Pedro at the reception who was very kind. The breakfast is sufficient and tasty. The atmosphere in the hotel is more intimate and boutique-like. It's not the biggest or the fanciest hotel - but it's just what you need, and it's the best.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from the River Douro and close to shops and restaurants. Nice size tastefully decorated room with large en-suite, small balcony and comfortable bed. Large windows opening on to the main street but room very quiet once windows closed. Air conditioning available in room if required. Lovely breakfast with lots of options which should please most guests.

A comfortable chair to sit on in the room. There was a desk chair which was okay but not comfortable for relaxing in.

I was very impressed with the room and its cleanliness. And the location in center city Porto could not be beat; it was very convenient to two Metro subway stops. The breakfast had a good selection, and most importantly, the coffee was hot and tasted wonderful. The staff was extra-helpful, too, and spoke English. The neighborhood is a good mix of shops, restaurants, and a pharmacy was located only two blocks away. I would highly recommend this property, and when I return to Porto next year, I will certainly stay at the Casual Raizes Porto once again. Thanks for making my Portugal trip start off on a wonderful note!

There was nothing I did not like about the property. The air con worked nicely, the showers were hot, there were plenty of towels, the bed was comfortable, elevators were convenient, housekeeping was great...for a good hotel at this price range, the staff and hotel delivered a wonderful experience.

The breakfast was good with a fair deal of choice. The two ladies running the room at breakfast both worked very hard to ensure the full range of food was available and the room and tables were kept clean.

The hotel is a little further away from the old town tourists spots than I was expecting but it wasn't really a problem. It looks like there is a major improvement project going on in Porto at the moment (possibly a new metro line is being constructed) so this added so some on to the walking time from the hotel to the river area.

The location of this hotel is AMAZING! You can visit almost everything in Porto by foot. The hotel is nice and unique in Porto style. Really nice lobby and rooms. Rooms are clean. Overall, it was a good experience.

We didn't like that our room was on -1 floor. It is not under ground and there is a window that looks on some kind of "garden," but if you don't put curtains on, people from the dining room can look into your room. Some of the stuff were really nice, but some were not. When we first came and asked to check in, the girl just looked at us and said "no" with no further explanation or anything. We had to ask why, and the reason was ok (we came an hour or two before check-in time). Also they didn't offer to leave our baggage in laguage room, we had to ask for that too. I'm not sure if it is because of the language barrier or something else, but no communication at all leaves a bad impression. Breakfast can be more varied. But the part with sweets was amazing.
