The hostel is well located, near everything: The old town, bars, restaurants, supermarkets Pingo Doce, Lidl, etc It's very impressive, beautiful architecture and you almost feel as being in a five star hotel, to be honest! It's nice and quiet, close to all the main tourist Tavira attractions. I slept like a baby, due to the absolute silence. I was impressed in a very good way. I would stay there again! I would recommend to friends and family!! The staff was very polite, extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was abundant and delicious: fruits, yoghurt, all kind of coffee and tea, etc You will be amazed.

I would strongly recommend and suggest some curtains to be placed on the beds for us, guests to have more privacy. This would be highly welcome and a big plus to the hostel. Having the bed's curtain will make our stay more enjoyable also.

The location, personell, cleaning and brakefast buffe is excelent. It's also very good that there is a kitchen for the guests to use with micro and refrigerator.

I miss a personal locker in the dorm. There was also some male guest using the female bathroom (or was a female dorm made to a mixed one?). Some guest were not so good at closing doors behind them. It was quite noicey in the room outside the dorm so there is a need to close the door between the spaces for better night sleep. Perhaps there is a need for more signs or rules explained? I also prefer a "double sheet" (where you can put the blanket inside). It more hygienic instead of a single sheet and blanket in the bed.

A converted palazzo, pretty close to train station and minutes away from town centre. Bathrooms are shared but everything is numbered to your room. Showers powerful, but on a short timer - a minute would be better. Quiet at night. Generous Breakfast is included.

Female member of staff unwelcoming and unhelpful - why put someone miserable on the front desk? The Guy was friendly. Mattresses needed changing. Bed linen changed after just one night, which seemed unnecessary.

I loved staying here. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There are also various spaces to hang out and take calls etc which was great. The breakfast had lots of different options and was perfect to have before a day out. The hostel is in a great location for seeing Tavira and getting to the beaches. Wonderful time!

Potentially adding in a few more cooking utensils like sharp knives and maybe some spices, cooking oil etc to make it a bit more convenient for preparing your own food.

Staff was super nice and helpful. The location is great, a few minutes on foot from the centre of Tavira. The hostel is in an old house, it's a beautiful space. Breakfast has quite a few options, it's very nice. And there's a fully functional kitchen if you'd like to cook.

The beds are not very comfortable. In shared rooms, the bunk beds are extremely shaky, hard to turn around without shaking the whole bed and disturbing the other person.

The value for money in this property right now is just extraordinary in the Algarve in high season, that's why you need to book well in advance. The staff is fantastic and always ready to help with any tip around the area. The hostel is always clean and the AC is extraordinary for this price. A big plus is that they have private parking connected to the hostel - you need to book in advance and it has an extra cost.

The kitchen could be a bit bigger, but it's very difficult to change that now. Adding on top of that the floor of the connection to the garage needs maintenance. But that's is so small little things compared with the overall experience that is amazing!

Tavira is a tranquil city with wonderful neaches. This fantastic youth hostel was oir headquarters for exploring the entire Algarve. The double room with a shared bathroom is spacious, the kitchen is perfect and fully equipped for enjoying healthy meals, the breakfast is abundant and includes all kinds of food, even for vegetarians. Joana at the reception was friendly and efficient and fixed a problem with the bathroom in no time. Overall, the accommodation was a very pleasent and unforgettable experience.

Breakfast starts at 8:30 in the morning, a bit late for those of us who like to het early to be in other places on time to enjoy and make the most of our vacations.

The staff are exceptional but unfortunately they need more staff. The cleaners are making the breakfast. Cleaning the rooms and also doing the laundry . They need more people to do this as they are over worked and they are stressed. This is not their fault.

There are no lockers for valuables. The floor is slippy in the bathroom. Some of the bedroom windows don't lock . It is difficult to go to the loo in the middle of the night if you have to climb the steps in the Top Bunk bed. There are enough electrical points for 4 people in a dormitory. There aren't enough places for everyone to wash and dry their clothes. The showers have a button you have to press continually for water which is awkward.

It’s located in such a beautiful house. The facilities were clean and in good state. The receptionist was very friendly and clearly enjoyed her job advising about Tavira.

The receptionist took forever to check in two parties before me (two girls and the other pair mother and daughter), as I don’t speak Portuguese I have no idea what took so long but I was done in under 5 mins. It’s not that the customers asked that much it was just on the receptionist. For 2 check ins it took 30 mins.. AC or any sort of ventilation should be urgently installed in the bathrooms!! One small bin for the entire bathroom that is shared with 2 rooms so upto 8 people not emptied within 20 hours - could be improved :)

Super nice personnel that really takes time for you if you have questions. The cleaning was very good, unusual for hostels. The breakfast was thoughtful and included. The location is superb. The 4-bed rooms have huge individual closets (no lockers) and a table with chairs. I was pleasantly surprised and met amazing people here.

The kitchen was gross. The kettle and refrigerator was very dirty. I kept throwing out open food almost daily, was not going to risk critters from inviting themselves into the refrigerator. The dishes were super dirty, I watched people just rinsing their dishes off with water with zero soap. Some people are so freaking dirty and nasty it makes me wanna throw up - > not the hostels fault. The bunk beds are super squeaky, they need to be replaced.
