Good base for Cilaos cirque hiking. Typical small mountain hotel with its "old" charm. Nice view from balcony. Free breakfast is bonus even it is only jam and butter (with juice, coffee, tea or cocoa), to have some cheese or ham would be nice, but for one night stay it was good enough and tasty with small piece of water melon.

Rooms are not soundproof. Dining (breakfast) table is just in lobby below rooms. Anybody sitting there in the evening will make noise clearly hearable in all rooms. Especially if you want to wake up early for hike, it can stop you from sleeping. Shared kitchen is in separate building /some booking com informations are saying you will have private kitchen, but there is only 1 kitchen for every room/. There is no oil, dishwashing liquid and dish towel available.

everything. it was my third stay there! William and Gabrielle are true people. they share the love of their amazing island. rooms are super clean and breakfast couldn’t be fresher. the view is stunning!

Very nice location, very warm welcome, a lot of useful information on what to do in Cilaos. The place is a few km outside of Cilaos but the road to go to the town is very broad and in perfect conditions. Above all it goes through a magnificent forest…. we saw the most incredible starry sky stopping along the road.

The location was very nice, with an extremely good view of the mountains from the balcony. The toilet was big and pretty modernized. The place was overall clean and very nicely kept. Private parking available.

It may take quite some time to get the water hot while showering. Otherwise nothing major.

The breakfast contained fruit, good coffee and nice bread! The host is very friendly and the kitchen and the garden are marvellous

Note that the place is 15 minutes drive from Cilaos. There is nothing in Bras Sec besides some accommodations

Room and bed were very comfy, nice view everywhere and from the balcony. Breakfast very tasty with a good choice of beverages/bread and self-made marmelade. We enjoyed the garden and the surrounding mountain range. Host was very kind and attentive. Overall a very nice stay after a strenuous hike to the Piton de Neiges.

Great place! Chambers d’hotes Doris is a lovely guesthouse with comfortable and clean rooms, beautiful garden and shared &full equipped kitchen-all beautifully located in the middle of the mountains. The breakfast is very good including different drinks and croissants, bread, baguette,jams and fruits. The owners speak only little english but are very nice and engaged into meeting one‘s needs. Absolutely recomendable!

15 minutes away from Cilaos. Very friendly host and delicious breakfast in the morning. There is a large kitchen area that all guests can use. For one night highly recommend.

Location, beautiful views, the host, William was very kind. The breakfast was generous. The room was clean and nicely furnished.
