The staff of Delsie, Jeff and Michelle and others were so kind to me and took care of my special health needs. Good bed with curtains and light/outlet. very clean. Great location in a non touristy area so can see the local culture but still very close to the night market and waterfront. free coffee and a big fridge. Nice big lockers. they allow u to pay on arrival so don't need your pay the tourist tax.

the lounge/common area is small.

It is very close to the dock, making it very convenient to go out to sea for sightseeing. There are supermarkets and restaurants around downstairs, and the distance is very close, with a view of the sea. The room is a separate small compartment, which is very cost-effective

The toilet cannot be flushed normally, and you need to use a water ladle to catch water before you can go to flush the toilet. It is not very convenient, as there are too many shoes at the entrance, which is piled up all over the door, affecting the appearance

The best part of it is the crew, super friendly and helpful young people🤗 One if the most comfy dorms I’ve ever slept at, it reminds a bit a bee hive, however that makes beds fully isolated from neighbors and stable, so neither noise or movement of other guests wales you up Great location, walking distance to all KK attractions

The common area is very small, no not really a hostel where you can interact with other guests

The most important is the toilets and shower rooms are clean! The bed is comfortable and have curtain for privacy. Spacious space in the room for my small luggage and to perform my prayer. They also provided a small locker (with key) outside the room. The location is just behind Le Meridin and within a walking distance to the Filipino market and a stone throwaway from the Jesselton Jetty Point. I was staying at the Hostel for Borneo Marathon and the receptionist, Delsie was very helpful to provide the contact person who arranged the transportation to the Likas Stadium.

The only downside the exterior of the building is a little bit dodgy, but once you enter the hostel, it was nice. Like they say, dont judge a book by its cover.
