We were quite lucky to get the room at the very top with beautiful view through the back door. The hotel is at the centre of the village, free off road parking area close by. The hotel provides light breakfast at the communal breakfast area, with some fruits, sweet bread and cereals. There are a few walking routes around the area which is quite nice. There's a bar downstairs which serves food and drink, however when we were there, the bar was very busy so we got fish and chips from the village instead, which only a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay at the Station House, South Brent. We would come again 😊

The complimentary breakfast was very good but not enough cutlery. The room was comfortable, and the gift for our dog was unexpected and wonderful. The bathroom was excellent and very clean, bed comfy, room was warm too. It was certainly value for money with allowing our dog too for a very reasonable rate. The cafe was nice.

I found the fire escape stairs difficult that we had to go up to our room. They weren't mentioned in the description, I have hip replacements so had to be careful. It would be easier.in dry weather.

Spacious and clean. Plenty of tea and coffee and complimentary locally made fudge. Restoring the old pub was obviously a labour of love. With a close affinity to the railway, great attention has been made to give the property a station feel. There was a complimentary continental breakfast, but we chose to eat at the downstairs café. We are both vegetarian and we can highly recommend the breakfast. The café has a nice feel about it as locals popped in and out. Great value for money and we would recommend staying.

Great location for overnight stop. Very comfortable bed and facilities all good. Nice lounge area for residents and complimentary drinks/snacks for breakfast available. Cafe was open in the morning for coffee/breakfast, but not in the evening the night I stayed. Fuss free check-in via messaging. Parking is round the corner in the station carpark but only a couple of minutes walk away.

Pleasant standard room with greeny at window, private, not polished but comfortable, decent bathroom, easy to find hotel and good instructions to find room after 5pm arrival. Great breatfast room upstairs with views, activities, self-service continental, plus lovely cafe downstairs. Easy come-and-go from side passage, street parking up to 9am outside door. The local chippy is apparently a special find, although we went to the short drive Turtley Corn Mill for dinner.

The room was great - very quiet, very clean, and check-in after hours is super easy. We love this place and it's the second time we've been. Breakfast was good, though less plentiful than on a previous occasion when there were more guests and therefore a greater choice of fresh things. That's understandable, but it did feel a bit less generous.

The tap in the bathroom was super stiff and we had trouble turning the water off. Should be easily fixable! And a jug of water in the 'Quiet Carriage', to make it easier to fill the kettle, would make a big difference.

Convenient location, and a lovely place with squeaky-clean rooms, and a lovely common room for continental brekky and perhaps some pool. Love having access codes rather than keys for me to lose. Cafe downstairs is lovely should you require sommat more substantial, and all the staff are lovely. Even the ones that aren't my sister :) Thanks so much!

Only downside was our mattress, and - only if the place is fully booked - there's not enough hot water to go around for morning showers.

Location, rooms coffee shop & restaurant food & welcome very good. Room was comfortable. Included continental breakfast was nice & plentiful. Owner & staff welcoming & knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Access via a fire escape was poor & dark. Need to be mobile to use. Access pre lockdown was inside via coffee shop/ restaurant except late evening when coffee shop/restaurant closed. This would be much better & safer. We didn't like tge fire escape metal stairs especially when wet.

We really loved Station House. Very clean and spacious room and a very comfortable bed. We travelled for the weekend with my husband and our newborn and had a hard time finding a place to sleep because so many cancelled on us because of the baby. However, Richard (the owner) was understanding and made us feel very welcome. The night of check-in we arrived late but he very kindly gave us clear instructions on how to get in and do a self-check-in. The cafe downstairs is great and everything is very tasty (especially the cakes!) and the bed and breakfast has a very cosy common room where you can hang out, play pool, read or have free croissants, tea and juice during the day. What I liked most was that Richard took the time to write down recommendations for walks in the area, places of interest and the history of the Station House building, which I thought was a very nice touch. I would have loved to have met Richard but too bad we spent most of our time walking around during the day so we never met.

Used this place for a one night stopover on route to catch the continental ferry at Plymouth the following day, it worked well for us, bonus was the honesty drinks fridge, unfortunately the weather was foul so we didn’t bother going out so it come in very handy, plus must mention the lovely lady who checked us in who runs the cafe outside, lovely cakes!!
