Although the property was old it was quite charming. Our room was very small, but comfortable enough, and with a lovely view of Lake Albert straight out our window. The room facilities were basic, but the hosts were lovely and allowed us to borrow whatever we needed. The sunset over the lake was spectacular.

We had a group of tradies staying in the rooms around us and they were quite loud in packing up and leaving at 6am. That wasn't the propertiy's fault, but the rooms aren't very soundproof.

The motel was right on the edge of Lake Albert so there was plenty of birdlife to watch It was also just a quick drive into town to grab a bite to eat. The owners were very friendly.

The room was a little on the small side but it was ok for the night. The heater was a bit noisy. The Bookings.com site mentioned a restaurant, but the owners said it wasn't in use when I enquired about it so we had to go to the local pub for dinner..

This was our second stay when we drove back Melbourne, we loved the stunning view for the sunset and the lovely pelicans. Room was always clean, it is not so big but it’s sufficient enough for a comfortable stay. Hosts are great and the cooked breakfast is superb. Thanks for letting us having such a remarkable stay before we go home.

Nothing to complain about, all good, just don’t expect a big big room though.

What a wonderful little gem found on the Lake Albert. Such a great spot. Clean, comfortable and quiet! Found by chance and so glad we did. Plenty of room, we had their family room. x2 single beds and a double bed, sofa and microwave etc. Room looks straight out onto lake which is very pretty, be lovely to sit out there during the evening and watch the sunset. Restaurant on site and generous servings and value for money. Staff have exceptional service and are just so lovely. Definitely recommend a stop over here. Plenty of parking out front of room. Short drive or walk into the main township. Worth the money for a family room!

Not much to say, maybe in regard to washing up the dishes just needed a dish brush sponge for added convenience.

Probably the best value for money place we’ve ever stayed. It’s not 5 star, that’s why it cost a quarter of the price of 5 star. But from our bed we could see a million stars, and more pelicans than I’ve ever seen in one place, an incredible sunset across the lake and smoke on the water in the morning. Room was beautifully clean, huge fridge and amazingly comfortable bed. 100% will recommend and come back.

Where to begin. Driving in to Meningie, a gorgeous lake side town. Arriving at Meningie Waterfront Hotel, blown away by its location. Opening the door to a cute room with all you need looking out to a huge view. It feels like you're floating on the lake. In to the dining room for dinner during a spectacular sun set! Meeting Lynn, hotel manager, cook, big hearted, host extroirdinaire. Honestly, Lynn and Ralph make this a place worth visiting again and again. The warmth and welcoming hospitality made a fabulous little hotel, a magnificent stay. We'll be back.

That we couldn't stay longer.

Older but clean and quite large room. Lovely lake view from large window. Nice grassy area with outdoor furniture. At the end of town but not far to drive. Narrow bathroom but good shower.

Depart hot and cold taps in the basin but no plug. Queen bed comfy enough but every movement felt by both occupants. Screen door very tatty - an easy fix.

It has a stunning view, room was clean and hosts are nice. Breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed very much during our stay. We highly recommend this gem in Meningie.

Nothing to complain about, I didn’t rate the highest about the facility just because simple is the best, what you need is just the relaxing moment by looking through the window from your room.

We arrived at the motel about 7:00 pm having had the unfortunate experience of colliding with an animal on the road about 30 minutes earlier. The proprietor was very helpful and even checked under that car to see what damage had been done. All the coolant had drained out making the car undrivable. He offered to make us fish and chips for dinner and said that they were on the house! He and his wife were very caring. In the morning, we ordered breakfast (eggs and bacon - delicious!). We were allowed to stay in our room until almost 3:00pm when we were collected by a friend. Once again there was no charge for this extra stay, or for the breakfast. They said we would be having a large unplanned expense and they wanted to help. We were very touched by the care shown and would gladly recommend this motel to anyone. The room was generously proportioned and the beds comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. As its name suggests, the motel is on the waterfront of Lake Albert, the water is literally 3 metres from the motel. It has a wonderfully peaceful ambience - just what we needed!

There was nothing to dislike about this place.

Great location! Definitely worth the extra few dollars for a lakeside-view room. The greeting at checkin was first-class and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room spotless and a surprisingly quiet night. Loved waking up to the view across the lake watching pelicans glide across the water.

Nothing that I can think of.
