Exceptional Stay at Il San Cristoforo Hotel - A True Oasis in Ercolano, Napoli We recently spent a week at Il San Cristoforo Hotel in Ercolano, Napoli, and were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay. The location is perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The hotel itself is a masterpiece, beautifully refurbished with a tasteful design that incorporates unique volcano stone features throughout its architecture. The garden is absolutely breathtaking—a true delight to the eyes both during the day and at night. The attention to detail in the landscaping is remarkable, adding to the overall charm and ambiance of the property. Every element of the hotel has been crafted with exquisite taste, creating an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility. Dining at “The Line” restaurant is an experience not to be missed. The food is exceptional, and the breakfast service was particularly noteworthy, offering a fresh and varied selection of fruits and yogurts. The kitchen staff were always friendly, polite, and attentive to our needs, making every meal a pleasure. Thank you Annabella, Gianluca and all your other colleagues from the kitchen! We enjoyed every morning with your great coffees! We also thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, which provided a perfect spot to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy delicious snacks and lunches in a serene setting. The reception team deserves special mention for their outstanding service—they were always ready to assist with any requests and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel generally is great. The hotel pool is fantastic, but had a lot of maintenance work on going which was quite noisey.

There was little to no food catering for children at the hotel or restaurant. As the local restaurants off hotel site do not open till after 19:00 being able to use the hotel restaurant was an expectation that just wasn’t provided for our children. If asked, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to families with younger children, especially seeing the children are charged breakfast at adult rate and there is no menu at all for younger guests. The language lyrics in the pool music had many swear words and bad language. The staff did change this eventually when point out as children were at to pool.

The area around the hotel was not great The restaurant was either fully booked or closed and only al la carte and as the area wasn’t touristy it was very difficult to find some where to eat even with a car. It would have been good if the hotel had a separate dining area with standard food for the hotel guests and the shuttle ran more often

This hotel is situated in large grounds in a fairly urban area. The grounds are superbly maintained as it is a popular wedding venue. The chef at the Line Restaurant deserves a Michelin star for his superb tasting menu. The breakfasts were good too. We had a marvellous room on the 3rd floor with a view of Mount Vesuvius. The swimming pool was a welcome place to relax after sightseeing. The hotel is a shuttle bus ride away from the ruins of Heculanaeum.

The restaurant put on repetitive music in the evening which was more appropriate for a spa than for a sophisticated gastronomic setting. The hotel is marketed as an 'agritourism' site, but it isn't clear what is meant by this term, which conjures up images of being able to help milk cows and goats in the morning and pick vegetables in the evening.

Welcome two-night oasis in Naples after the headache of missing a flight. We picked it at the airport based on other reviews, and what a fortuitous surprise. Best property, room, and meals of our three week stay in Italy. We had been zooming around for three weeks and a couple of days by a beautiful pool were what the doctor ordered. Views of Vesuvius from our breakfast window. The meals on site were A+. Best breakfast of our trip. Loved the eggs cooked to order and almond croissants. Everything was a premium selection. And at the other end of the day, the dinner at Line was also the best of our trip. Superb and deserving of a Michelin star. Very attentive staff who can arrange whatever you need, taxis, etc. Extremely approachable and all speak English. For a bit of walking around and exercising, the property is near a local neighborhood archeological park that is closer than Pompeii, yet equally amazing for history buffs. Very accessible and informal, you can wander around rooms and see frescoes and mosaics up close.

Be aware the property is also a wedding venue and can get noisy, but it all shuts down at a reasonable hour. If you want dinner and have already done Line, there is room service available.

Amazing venue, everything very well put together and clean. Very friendly staff. They offer multiple pillows to make it as comfortable as possible. Amazing breakfast (make sure 1,5 hours to indulge). The Line restaurant is superb and absolutely worth a visit. Creative compositions and excellent service.

Location of the property is not ideal. Difficult to get to (outside Napoli) and the area is not really walkable. Also the restaurants you find in the vicinity are not very inviting. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Ercolano train station at certain times. That def helps.

our stay at this hotel was exceptionally enjoyable. the hotel grounds are enchantingly beautiful, day and night, and offer views of the Vesuvius - great quiet alternative to staying in downtown Naples (hotel offer a free shuttle service several times a day to a train station that links to Naples Central Station). The staff including Alessandro and Theresa, and the restaurant staff, are very warm and friendly. They helped us navigate the train /taxi trip from Rome to the hotel by following up by phone while we were in transit. during our stay the staff helped us make excellent choices for sightseeing. Giuseppe who handled the shuttle to and from the Ercolano metro station was extra helpful. There is a fuel station a few hundred meters from the hotel (take a left on to to the main road and it is on the right) which has a great pizza place and a shop which has pastries. Before the fuel station there is a slightly "hidden" (it is in the basement down a ramp) CONAD supermarket which is well stocked and very reasonably priced. Great place to relax.

breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30, it would be great if it started a little earlier to make having breakfast on days when one has a tour with an early start less rushed. Otherwise nothing really

Our apartment was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Perfect for the family of 4. All the staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had and we travel a lot! Everything was fresh and top quality. The grounds of the hotel, gardens, etc, are very well kept and beautiful. Convenient location if you want to visit Pompeii and Vesuvio.

It would have been good to know in advance that the restaurant does not do regular a la carte menu in the evening. The air conditioning was a bit noisy. The pillows were too hard for me, which is a personal preference.

Staff is very professional and helpful. Checked-in early and our room wasn't ready and we received a free upgrade to a room already available. Breakfast is excellent and offers a large variety of food (from Italian sweets to bread to Muesli and cheese/sausages). The property is kind of an luxury island in the middle of a busy area with a large Park. Free shuttle to the train station an back multiple times a day is a great service.

It's not a very quiet location (not the fault of the hotel, it's the busy surroundings). Apart from that there is almost nothing to complain about.

The grounds, the house, the staff who were very helpful and friendly. That the hotel was helpful to set up some excursions in the area and to the volcano itself (as we were very interested in getting to the top of mount vesuvio). The restaurant was great! Good selection of wine and the best breadsticks ever. Fine dining and expensive of course, but an amazing experience to try!

We liked it all! But just so you are aware the hotel is a car/taxi ride outside of Naples, in the next 'area' so it may be hard to get to places, although the hotel has a shuttle service to their closest train station which is very helpful- as we did a day trip to Pompeii etc.
