The location of the hotel is excellent. It couldn't have been better. The breakfast had everything you would want.

We were on the 4th floor overlooking the exterior eating area and for one night it was exceptionally noisy as people were out there talking and laughing loudly until after 1 a.m. The biggest problem was the bathroom. We had an over bath shower with a half bath screen. It was impossible to put the shower head on the wall holder without soaking the bathroom which was really annoying. We ended up just holding the shower head and spraying ourselves whilst getting as close to the taps as possible. At breakfast the fruit selection had a bowl of individual grapes and no serving spoon which made for an unhygienic portion which obviously nobody wants, especially as there were several children around when we stayed who were just grabbing a handfull.

Location was amazing, ideal for those who can’t walk too far. Beautifully clean and staff very welcoming

I had been allocated a room for disabled guests The room was a very good size BUT There was no working heating in the bathroom at all. Despite several requests for a repair or alternative heating for the room and several promises from reception that they’d get it sorted —————- nothing happened over the four days we stayed there. There was also a distinctly unsavoury ‘stink’ from the shower drain which never went away at all. Sad, because the rest of the hotel was brilliant and I’ll certainly go again, just NOT in that room

We arrived around 1:30pm and we are early for the check in time of 3pm so left the luggage in the luggage room and had lunch. When we come back after 3pm, our room is not ready yet so we have to go out again and walk around town. To make up for the inconvenience (which is not really much) they have given us free breakfast vouchers for the family. It was really nice gesture and great effort from the staff to make sure we are going to enjoy our stay. True enough! We love Bruges. One of our favourite city in Europe.

Let’s start with the location because it’s excellent. The hotel is located directly behind the Belfry of Bruges and therefore in the heart of the old town. The hotel lobby is spacious, clean and modern and has a mini market and Starbucks coffee machine. Entrance to the parking garage is there as well. Rooms are ok. Everything you need is there. Beds are ok as well but the mattress a bit too firm. But that’s a personal opinion of course. We had a room on the front of the hotel looking over the street and the back of the Belfry. Nice but noisy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking garage is located beneath the hotel. It’s not big but even with a larger car relatively easy to get in and park.

The rooms are not soundproofed and in the night you can hear other guests coming and going and starting early morning (at least on weekdays) cars and trucks either passing by or restocking the shops. Soundproofed windows would’ve been nice tbh. Beds are ok as well but the mattress a bit too firm. But that’s a personal opinion of course. We had a room on the front of the hotel looking over the street and the back of the Belfry. Nice but noisy.

Location is unbeatable for the prices but that is essentially what you’re paying for anyways. The breakfast was fine but you’re literally steps away from amazing restaurants and waffles for breakfast, there is no real reason to pay for the breakfast. The staff were EXTREMELY nice and professional - the room was comfortable and quiet. Big bathroom.

Check-in was delayed and no discount offered. If I am unable to check-in promptly at the stated time allotted to me as a paying customer, I should be compensated in some way. Additionally, there were very foul smells in almost all the hallways with rooms. I am assuming it was sewage/rain water but not entirely sure. We ran the A/C and open windows in our room for a little bit and after about 10-15min there was never an issue of smell again in our room at least.

Martins Hotel is in a very good location next to the Belfry. We had a triple bedroom with very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom with good shower. The staff were lovely and helpful.

There wasn't adequate hanging space for long coats in the room. After mentioning this to one of the managers, the very next day we came back to our room to find coat hooks had been fitted on the wall which was just perfect. A big thank you to the Manager for listening to our feedback.

Hotel was excellent and centrally located. I did a lot of research before picking this place and was not disappointed. It pretty much checks all the boxes we were looking for in a place to stay. (1) Modern (2) Very close to the town center but not on a busy street with tourist everywhere (3) Flexible check-in/out when available (4) Within walking distance to everything (5) Excellent breakfast. We were only in Bruges for a day and the staff were incredibly helpful in creating itinerary for us to hit all the highlights and even gave us a map showing us were to go and how to get there. Also, the free tram that takes you to the train station is right on the corner which was a nice bonus.

The hotel does not have a bar onsite but they do offer beverages in the lobby for purchase. There is also a nice sitting area in the lobby to enjoy your beverage.

The employees were very nice the lady that checked us in that night was so sweet. The guy next day was very nice and kind. They did not have name tags I did not get their names. It was beautiful, clean, super neat, the location was amazing. So close to everything? Nice walks at night. I booked it for the reviews about the location and i love it. My husband and our 18 year old twins had a blast. We will go back for sure!!!! Thank you.

I liked everything

We found the lobby bar very useful and friendly. The hotel guests congregated there nightly and got to know each other a little bit. What is required is more staff at the bar as the one person was too often overloaded later on in the evening as the guests came back from dinner.

The location of the room from the lobby is terribly difficult to access through the hotel. The many stairs and winding hallways are difficult to navigate especially for older people who have mobility issues. Luckily our room was directly at the back corner of the building where there was a door leading to the side street by the underground garage. This allowed us quick and easy access to the streets and the town.
