Very clean, with very polite staff. Breakfast was good, with one exception (see negative) A not unpleasant 15 minute walk to the centre of town.

Silly things really, but if rectified, would really make this place stand out: We stayed for 2 nights, and the hot choice at breakfast appeared to have been reheated over and over several times. Smoke alarm in our room worked, but was hanging off wall. We noticed mosquito netting dangling down from a window, frame and all.

Beds were very comfortable and had 4 pillows each. The sheets were new, clean, updated, and without any signs of use. Bathroom was extremely clean and had lots of amenities. The room was spacious and updated. There was a coffee machine in the room, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was someone there every time we walked by, regardless of day or time. The breakfast was quite generous: drinks, waffle maker, eggs, chicken, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. I was really impressed by the offerings!

The eggs are breakfast were inedible and likely leftovers from a previous day (or two). Plenty of other things to eat, though. It is right off the main street (great location), but it was loud at night.

Room rate was excellent. Location was great being a few blocks from the center of downtown. Check in was easy and having parking was such a fabulous bonus. Breakfast was normal for the Comfort Inn, not exceptional but good.

I would like to have been able to check-in earlier than the 2pm even thought check-in is listed at 3pm. I had meetings and needed to leave Comfort Inn and return to check-in. I know that at times the hotels are booked up and early check-in is not feasible but the hotel was not busy on this day. Appreciated checking in when I was able too.

The room was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was provided.

The only thing that was not good were the chicken patties offered with breakfast. They were hard to cut/chew and had a freezer burn taste. All the other breakfast choices were wonderful!

Perfect proximity to K College reunion. Clean room, walkable stairs, affordable, nice staff, good breakfast

The closet door came partially off its track. I could still access my clothes so it wasn't a big problem.

I have stayed here many times. The place is clean and has good amenities. The front desk staff is not the most helpful though.

My bathroom door was locked. The front desk clerk basically to just wiggle my key card in the frame to open it. Thought that was unprofessional. They could have sent someone to the room to check it.

Within walking distance of Western MI University. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hallway in the hotel smelled of smoke. The area felt a bit sketchy. There was a man begging for money on the corner outside. Avoid the nearby "sports bar" Up and Under - we went in, seated ourselves, felt uncomfortable and left. WAP by Cardi B. was blaring over the speakers (not the clean version). Pot shop 2 businesses away.

The Location was Really Great, it was near both Western and Kalamazoo.

I would have preferred if it was more clean in the room while I stayed.

Great location and great value, room seemed clean. We loved that we didn't have to pay for parking which is unlike the other hotels around. Staff was nice and helpful, they seem like they have to deal with a lot of difficult people (customers or others who are just loitering). I hope they have some security personnel to help them out!

We had an issue with our toilet that plagued our stay, parking can be sometimes an issue when trying to get out. We were confused and were told different things about the breakfast (one person said it ended at 9am, one said 10am. We weren't told they were go-bags either, which wasn't a problem we were just unaware.

The hotel was great, customer service was great.

I would say that the parking lot was small so get there early it fills up quick.
