The double room was large, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The single room was a bit weirdly laid out.

That night, we came back to the hotel at the same time as a large tour group was checking in. The queue for the only lift was very long, so we decided to take the stairs, even though our room was on the 5th floor. We arrived at the 4th floor to see that the stairs stopped there: dammit, our room was in the South wing, and there's no connection between the North and South, except through the lift… Too tired to go back down and up again, we called the lift (even though the only available button is to go down). Because it was very busy, we waited at least 5-10 minutes for it to come up to the 4th floor. We went it and pushed the button to go to the 5th floor, but it started to go down! We stopped at the 3rd floor and went back up the stairs, on the correct side, this time!

I had a room overlooking the railway tracks which for a railway enthusiast like me was marvellous. I had only one breakfast due to schedule issues and it was very good.

The only problem I encountered was that the shower has one of those annoying modern fittings whereby one has no clue whether to turn the left or the right bit clockwise or anticlockwise and so there is a risk of scalding oneself. I come across these in many hotels and hate them. Why no 'H' and 'C' or Blue and Red signs? Grrrr. Plus of course one is for the top and one for the side shower head but how is one to know?

Hotel was perfectly located from Olten Bahnhof and I was surprised with an upgrade to a larger room facing the station - so this rail enthusiast was in heaven. Olten is a small town but has a busy junction linking nearly all Swiss major cities - so the variety of train moments is staggering. I don't think I ever saw an empty platform. The room was spacious with a maasive bathroom and a balcony with a chair completed the perfect space. I only wish I had longer to stay.

That I didn't book more nights here!

Very smooth online check-in after last minute booking same evening. Access to hotel and room via online tool with virtual key to open front doors and room. Very clean and convenient „comfort room“.

All good in the context of a perfectly located hotel just a few meters away from a central train station. Downside: view is either railroads or parking lot. Details: only one standard pillow, no extras in bathroom, door not really soundproof.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and it never disappoints. Large rooms, with the typical Swiss austerity, but large, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms and a small but nice balcony. It has efficient light (blinds) and acoustic insulation (due to the noise of the constant passage of trains). The wi-fi connection is very good. The breakfast buffet is diverse, extensive and generous, with a multitude of products, including hot dishes that are either on the counter or can be ordered from the friendly ladies. Ideal hotel for train travelers, due to its location in front of one of the largest stations in Switzerland, which allows for multiple excursions. In addition, it is one of the hotels in the country with the best quality/price ratio. And if you are also a railway fan, ask for a room with a view of the station: you will really enjoy it.

Small and nice hotel very close to the Olten railway station. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Good value for price. Very practical for a short term stay near public transportation (Olten railway station is an important railway junction with very frequent and direct rail connections to all parts of Switzerland, including Zurich Airport).

The online check-in/hotel entering is a slightly complicated - could be confusing for some people

I am a frequent user of this hotel. Although the rooms are simple, they are very spacious with comfortable beds. It is an ideal hotel for train travelers. And as I have said on other occasions, fabulous for train fans, for its wonderful rooms with a balcony that overlook the station. Very good breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of hot and cold products, for all tastes and diets. Good wi-fi connection. And all the staff are lovely.

Very spacious room, with sofa and gigantic bathroom (one huge bathtub + shower). Spotless clean, with nice gestures such as personal coffee machine And you can do the whole journey online : check-in, digital key, checkout ... very quick and practical 3 minutes walk from the train station (no noise)

The property is well located near the train station, our room was exceptional, we were close to the bridge that takes you over to the old part of town, which is lovely. The room was very large, the bathroom is large and has everything you need. I highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Olten.

Nothing to dislike

Super convenient location near the old town and train station. Despite the nearby train lines there was hardly any noticeable noise (we had a room towards the back). The «comfort room» was spacious, the bathroom exceptionally large. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

After the booking we were «bombarded» with a repetitive e-mails suggesting online check-in. As we did not know when we would arrive, we did not want to do that. The messages, finally, seemed to indicate that online check-in was necessary, perhaps due to absence of receptionist staff, even during normal arrival times. This did not turn out to be the case. Nevertheless, we found the repetitive e-mails inconvenient. Possibly the many messages resulted in «parallel» reactions by the hotel and booking.com
