I had the pleasure of staying at B&B Borgo San Martino, and I must say it was an enchanting experience. From the moment I arrived, Alessandra, the hostess, welcomed me with open arms and a warm smile. Her kindness and genuine hospitality made my stay truly memorable. Alessandra was always ready to assist me, offering valuable tips and suggestions for activities. Thanks to her recommendation, I had the privilege of attending an outstanding string concert in a charming little church nearby. The location of the accommodation is simply idyllic, nestled in a narrow alley in the heart of Monopoli's old town. Being centrally located allowed me to explore all the attractions and beaches on foot with great ease. The surroundings exuded a unique charm, capturing the essence of the town's history and culture. The building itself is a testament to meticulous restoration, showcasing its original beauty and character. Every corner oozes charm, and you can feel the love and care that went into preserving its historical significance. My room was impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy sanctuary after a day of exploration. I highly recommend B&B Borgo San Martino to anyone seeking a delightful retreat in Monopoli. Alessandra's warm hospitality, coupled with the accommodation's picturesque charm, creates a perfect harmony for a memorable stay. Whether you're a traveler seeking relaxation, adventure, or both, this charming B&B is the ideal choice. My experience was nothing short of magical, and I am grateful for the warmth and generosity of Alessandra, making my stay truly exceptional.

I must confess, my experience at B&B Borgo San Martino was so enchanting that I find myself struggling to come up with anything negative to say. It's a perfect little haven in Monopoli, leaving no room for complaints.

Warm, gracious and friendly staff, the room was spotless and comfortable, everything functioned perfectly, I really appreciated the Italian language help, the location was perfect, the restaurant reccomendation I got was fabulous and affordable... the list goes on, definitely the last stop on my tour of puglia was the best.

I didn't like that I spent too much time in other parts of puglia. As a place to visit Monopoli was my highlight.

Very nice and authentic accommodation in the historical centre of Monopoli. The location is central and you can walk everywhere within 10-15 minutes (beach, train station, restaurants). It had all the equipment we needed, even a small kitchen with a moka pot and coffee 🙂. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and communicative, you feel very well taken care of. Monopoli itself is a very beautiful town and it was amazing to stay right in its heart and discover the hidden corners, local cuisine and much more.

The bed was not comfortable and very squeaky, we didn’t sleep so well.

This was the best stay of our trip. Monopoli is beautiful and Alessandra goes out of her way to explain the town and gives lots of excellent, tailored recommendations. The room is very spacious and charming, and much better (and brighter) than the photos suggest. Air-conditioning was excellent. The location was perfect - good access to both restaurants/bars and the main beach. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe, which has good coffee and a great selection of pastries. We got free parking pretty easily nearby, just outside the old town section. Would definitely stay again - wish we’d had longer than our 3 nights.

Nothing.

This place is wonderful!! I only booked for one night because I arrived in Monopoli earlier than expected and had booked other accommodations originally. I stayed here and wish I could have stayed longer. Charming, cozy room in a historic building with a kitchen. Very, very clean. Also, a very comfortable bed. I had an amazing night's sleep. Alessandra was also friendly and helpful. I was able to drop my bags off earlier, and I was able to store my bags there until my other hotel room was ready. The location is perfect in the historic part of Monopoli. There is a 5 min walk to the sea, and a 2 min walk or even less to restaurants and cafes. And a 10-13 min walk from the train station. The area is very safe. I highly recommend this place, and next time I come back, I will stay here longer.

We lived in the heart of the old town of Monopoli, surrounded by white cozy streets. It was very quiet for us to sleep, the guesthouse is in a quiet alley. Ancient building, narrow stairs, triple room clean, spacious, enough space. We found dishes, coffee. A sincere, helpful hostess, rewarded us with nice souvenirs when we left. Breakfast in a nearby cafe, we liked the fresh orange juice. Not far from the train, we visited Lecce, Locorotondo.

Gas stove, there is a gas cylinder, we learned to use it. Maybe an electric teapot would be safer and simpler.

Great location, beautifull apartment and very helpfull host who gave us a lot of tips. The place itself was in a very stylish and old tenement which was absolutelty amazing. We really enjoyed beeing in such historic building maintened with keeping old fasion style. Bathroom could be bigger, but on the other side we were in historic building, thus justified. ;)

Breakfast, (this is why I gave 9 not 10). The idea of B&B accross the word is that full breakfast is included. When I do appreaciate that we were offered 1 coffe and 1 crusant or panini (in coffe bar). This is not meeting my expectations of B&B service and in simple words it is not enough considering price for night.

A good accommodation in the historic centre of Monopoli, close to restaurants and night life and sightseeing in town. The owner was very nice and explained everything we could see and gave us some tips. We did not spend a long time in town, just one night, as our flight was departing the following day and we spent longer than expected in bella Lecce on our way there. The building is old and nice.

Bed was not the most comfortable one we have ever slept in. Not too horrible, though.

Borgo San Martino was the kind of cultural and physical experience I have long dreamed of when I am holidaying in Italy. Not just "good location" or "nice space," it was like walking back in time to when knights on horses were walking the cobblestoned streets below me. The room itself combined "mod cons" (AC, shower and bathroom in the room) with utter charm and beauty that reflected the historic environment we were a part of. This has honestly become one of the favorite places I've ever stayed. Monopoli itself isn't one of the better known towns on this coast but I would consider coming back just to stay here, eat lovely food, and have a swim or two on the town beach. IDEAL!

I bumped my head on the lintel walking in my room and if you have a lot of heavy luggage you will weep carrying them up the stairs, but instead just leave the extras at home. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, sadly. :-(

The room was very spacious, furbished in old, traditional furniture. The air-con worked very well and fortunatelly the house holds cold, so it was great in the extreme hot weather. There was daily cleaning. The hostess was very nice, gave us great advice where to go, what to eat - best panzerotti in town ;-) The location is just on the beginning of historical center (well, you have to fing your way in and out ;-)), but very calm in the night. We enjoyed it.

However the bathroom was small, there could be more storage space. And the wi-fi was not very strong and working mostly only on the steps to bathroom ;-) But overall it was very nice.
