Check in was very easy. staff were on hand to help with queries and issues. I have stayed at the hotel many times and knew what to expect; it didn;t disappoint. The staff everywhere was welcoming and always had a smile and greeting. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Plenty of tables. I saw one member of staff assinting a guest on crutches pick the items and deliver it to the table. Excellent. An excellent venue for get togethers and conventions. They can cope.

The only downside was hat the lighting in the room was restricted to individual kights. Even with the blinds raised the room is dark. I would like more salads and non-fatty foods in the bar menu,

Bacon was overcooked and very greasy, other than that breakfast was brilliant, the swimming pool was nice but the jacuzzi. Could do with a little touch up on the tiles outside tiles missing and grubby! Had to change our band for the lockers 4 times as didn’t work, staff very helpfull and polite, would stay again, bathroom in the room had mould around the shampoo holder and around the bath silicone! Few cobwebs in the bedroom , but overhaul was pleased with the hotel,

Most comfortable bed I think I have slept in for a long time! Good food in the restaurant , efficient service , and decent breakfast. We only booked 2 hours before arrival and were very impressed with the size of the room for the price :)

Nothing to dislike , but if I were to mention anything negative , would only be minor things noticed in the room of showing signs of wear and tear ; cracked sink Room 267 , a few stains on carpet and curtains but it must be hard to keep on top of these things when busy .

Went to visit my sister in Swindon overnight so sister told me to book Village inn for the night as I was going to Poole the next day

I didn't like the receptionist the greeted me as soon I walked in the hotel I thought she was abrupt as it was the first time I had been to the hotel she also ask were I parked which is were the staff parked but I found a space as I have arthritis in the knees and have trouble walking she says that my car could get scratch so said that I should parked in the main car park

For us the Village is ideally located to visit family in and around the area, especially at Christmas as it acts as a great base. Starbucks and restaurant onsite which is also great. Book a Club room and you get gym/pool access.

Hotel is a little dated now and the bathrooms really show this. Also the hotel is quite dark, mainly due to the striped wallpaper and dark furniture. They could do with a lick of paint and even a change of light bulbs would make a difference. Personally I’d like to see a coffee machine rather than kettle but the Starbucks downstairs covers this 😄 Our room we struggled to get cold (yes cold) water and we could not switch the air con off which was very loud but everything else was fab.

It was a lovely hotel. Lovely facilities. It's very warm and inviting. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable. Easy access to WiFi. There are plenty of plug sockets. Nice to have an iron in the room. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel. I thought it was well worth the money and not expensive at all, compared to other places I've stayed at. I will definitely be staying here again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

From the moment we arrived welcomed by Sarah in reception , told all the info we needed to know , located room as described , pool small busy but ok for a quick dip , had an evening meal one from main menu and a children’s meal both were fantastic , quality and portion size , we had room service and were hot when delivered , Was noisy but worked out window was not closed properly , noise from corridor from other guests , room warm we eventually turned off heater completely , breakfast excellent good choice , quality and all hot ! Lovely lady in kitchen offered us vegetarian option and options on eggs. Check out easy and assisted by sally on reception who chatted to my granddaughter about her stay , would recommend and may return 😃

Perfect for our needs. Visiting family and going to the Ice Hockey.

Self service check in, which the hovering member of staff then butted in regardless of us happily following the instructions. The most concerning of which is when she "squiggled" our signature and then proceeded to programme the room cards. To be honest, they need to either leave customers to check in themselves or have a proper check in desk. Hated the fact that there were smokers literally obstructing the entrance doors. Smoking areas should be made available away from the entrances.

Good sized room, tv, iron, comfy beds, good shower. Had tea/coffee making facilities. Parking included in the price. Nice to use the pool in the morning (extra £5). On-site pub/grill for evening food. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Traffic from the road could be heard in the night. The ‘pub’ ran out of fish and chips on Friday evening! Self service check in/out but there was someone on hand, and it was simpler than others I’ve used recently.

It’s in a good location and easy to get to. There is a nice coffee shop on site, easy self check-in with staff to assist if needed, clean rooms and good facilities. I requested reception support with a small housekeeping issue and it was resolved extremely quickly and efficiently.

As with most hotels, inconsiderate other guests! Our room had a little gap under the door, not much but enough to be woken up but other guests talking in ‘daytime voices’ not ‘nighttime voices’. Not a mark against the hotel, just an observation on us humans! The decor in some rooms is a little tired but certainly didn’t detract from our stay.
