I loved how quaint and slightly old fashioned the room was and yet how modern the en-suite is. No issues at all with the shower and toilet facilities. Bed is super comfortable and appreciate there is a fridge available to use, which I indeed did use.

I'm probably being a cheapskate and comparing my stay to a cheaper hotel room from the night before, but I did pay more for a room last minute that I stayed less hours in. I am maybe suggesting something more than necessary, but it would be good if hotels could offer variable prices given how late someone books from the check in time available and especially if said customer is just looking for somewhere to shower and rest. Apart from that, nothing was an actual issue nor a negative impact on my stay.

Clean and comfortable with a huge room and equally huge bed. The staff member we saw was polite and friendly, and the free city centre parking was a huge bonus.

Bathrooms are small and the windows are old and subsequently let a lot of outside noise in. Hotel is (according to locals) also being used as a halfway house, and while we saw evidence of this, we didn't experience any trouble, but is worth noting if you're planning on staying.

Room was very big, lovely 4 poster bed with hard matteress and comfy sleeper couch. Nice being able to watch Netflix or Prime video on the tv, if we wanted to sign in with our own passwords (just don't forget to sign out once finished). Shower was massive (could probably fit 3-4 people in it) and have different shower setting for an ideal shower, rest of bathroom was very spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Only one window was able to open, there rest seemed to be painted shut (there was a fan in the room, but no aircon). No option for breakfast, only dinner at the adjoining restaurant.

Loved the room the bed was really comfy staff was lovely would go again and it's not far from center of wakey so quite easy access to town

The room got warm quickly they provide a small fan kept waking up in the night from the heat the window was open and the shower isn't the best you don't get much water out of it and the temperature is too warm my partner tried the shower I didn't as it was too hot

The room was so much bigger than I imagined. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was immaculately clean.

Being on such a busy road it was very noisy but I didn't mind too much. As it was sooo hot, air conditioning would be good but they gave a fan to help but I couldn't keep it on all night as it was a little noisy so I became very hot again. Also no restaurant open next door was hard to know where to eat without recommendations or information.

Location perfect as we were attending a show at the Theatre nearby. Hotel room although basic was clean and comfortable but good value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Especially the man on reception. Unfortunately I don’t remember his name. He was very courteous and I would like to say how good he was at his job.

Just disappointed that breakfast wasn’t available at the hotel, we weren’t aware of that fact until we checked in on the day. Maybe I’d misread the information given online regarding breakfast being available in the restaurant.

From the moment I entered the building, I was greeted and made welcome. Without asking I was told that a higher-grade room was available if I wanted it without extra charge which was unexpected. I was told that the kitchen is closed at the hotel so no evening meals or breakfast would be able to be served but I was told of a selection of restaurants available within a 5min walk. After leaving my bags in my room I took a short walk and found a fantastic Italian restaurant 2 mins away. The food was amazing and well worth venturing out. In the morning I asked if it was possible to leave my car in the hotel car park for 3hrs longer than my check-out time and was told it was not a problem and not to worry about the charges normally made to the public for parking during the day. Even when I returned to my car to leave I was greeted from within the Hotel through the window waving goodbye with a smile. I have stayed in many, many hotels in my time but even though the building looks and feels tired and there is no kitchen/restaurant I can't say how much of a positive difference the staff made to my stay. I even bumped into housekeeping in the corridor and even she was so polite and smiling. I will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

The building does feel tired and in need of refurbishment. The opportunity to have breakfast would also have been a plus but as I said previously the people who work here make up for that.

Great location friendly staff and although car park is private no fee as hotel covers cost.Room was clean and spacious although bathroom was tiny it was immaculate,would stay again.

We thought breakfast was included but was told on arrival they no longer offer breakfast was a shame but as the guy on reception was very polite and professional about how he explained the reason we fully understood and there's plenty of cafes etc all within walking distance we were happy.

Lovely four-poster double bed. Was very comfortable, too. I had requested an early check-in, which they managed to accommodate, and we made it to the function in time. All staff that we met were very nice.

The second double bed was a sofa bed. Which was a little bit hard. Breakfast wasn't available, which the hotel did mention to us in their email. But, on the Booking.com website, it states otherwise and also gives times. Which is incorrect.

Really comfy and luxurious. I guess I got upgraded. Really close to the station. CAPA the college where my event was and the centre of town.

Shower knobs were confusing and broken but staff were very responsive to fix it for me. These big walk in vertical jet things are out of my experience.
