Our room [no 8] was on the second floor. It had a window overlooking the street which was great. The room was a good size. It included a "Nespresso"-type coffee maker which we liked, and a little fridge. Sound proofing was good and we weren't disturbed by activities in the street. The hotel is situated close to lots of restaurants, and 50 metres from the sea wall and wonderful promenade. Breakfast was simple but the bread and croissants were fresh, as was the orange juice. Served by a cheerful member of staff [Bastian]. We were made to feel welcome by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma and Bastian. They were helpful and friendly.

There are stairs from the entrance to the reception on the first floor. This could be tricky if you have heavy luggage.

Small, cosy and very well kept hotel located a couple of minutes in one direction from the beautiful clean beach and a couple of minutes in the other direction from the lovely old town of St Jean de Luz. Breakfast on our terrace was delightful and excellent quality. Madame Claudette is so kind and helpful and will do everything to make your stay a good one. Towels, coffee, biscuits etc all replaced every day, and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return!

It's such a cute hotel, right in the center of the town. It has a lot of character and the rooms are clean, spacious and with lots of natural light. Room number 9, which we got upgraded to because we travelled very off season, will give you the best terrace and views.

Not that I didn't like it, but it's important to take into account that while there is an elevator in th building it doesn't cover the first set of very steep stairs that will make the hotel not super accesible to clients with reduced mobility

the location is amazing: in the middle of a pedestrian street. At the top of the street: the sea and it's walkway. At the bottom of the street: a main suqare where they had a concert in the evening. Lots of restaurants in the street, and from the bedroom we couldn't hear a noise (our room was at the inner side of the building). The size of the room is small, but we didn't need anything bigger for our one night stay. We didn't meet anyone from the staff. We spoke with them on the phone: we asked for restaurant suggestions and they kindly booked one for us. Wifi was included.

Fabulous location for beach and restaurants. Felt safe, lovely room, nice bathroom, great terrace. Just a lovely boutique hotel (nine rooms) in a great part of St Jean de Luz to explore. Highly recommend. Staff were helpful with good dining recommendations too. Coffee, tea and water bottles provided. Very clean.

I didn’t use it but the area to have breakfast/sit in the common space was not so inviting.

Breakfast in bed which can be awkward and the coffee was lukewarm on arrival but all the other ingredients of a continental breakfast were excellent. the bathroom had an excellent shower and was quite stylish. There was some external noise until just after midnight from neighbouring bars. The room, though cramped, was well laid out and comfortable as was the bed. Location perfectly poised between rail station, town square and the beach.

This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in years - the bed, pillows,duvet all perfect. The walk-in shower was roomy and the towels large and soft. It is in a perfect location in the old town a few steps to the beach, and 5 minutes walk to the port. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our hostess - friendly, warm and helpful.

Although there is an elevator you have to walk up one flight of stairs. The wifi did not work and it turns out Orange (our carrier) was having problems in the area. In general wifi connections were poor throughout the town.

Great location for Garr de Lyon. Small cosy hotel. No in-room facilities but this is compensated with complimentary tea/ coffees, cold drinks fruit etc in welcoming social space on ground floor. Very welcoming with helpful staff. I booked a single room and felt safe.

Shower space on 6 th floor very tight so anyone with mobility issues would find it very difficult to navigate in and out of the shower as would a large framed person.

The location is excellent. Very friendly and easy going staff. Breakfast was very good

No lift from the street level but from the level 1. Luggages have to be carried one floor up. Our room was lovely but small.

Loved where the hotel was situated in the heart of town and close to beach. Although we had trouble finding the hotel due to roads closed so where too late to enjoy beach really.

No parking which made it awkward as my partner has a few walking issues at the moment and had to walk quite a way. Realised after tho could have dropped him off but spent a while looking for somewhere to park so grabbed first spot we saw. Can stop for a minute nearby to unload but again didn't realise this till too late.
