Beautiful, creative design using high quality materials. Very comfortable beds, high quality linens. Attention to detail: lighting, tea kettle and materials, coffee materials. Could obtain food at any time. Also good breakfast. Courteous staff. Very clean.

Room cards did not always work. Not quite ready for breakfast service at posted time of 7am. Only minded because we needed to get to airport Required cab payment upfront in US $ plus it was somewhat overpriced.

The property is just stunning. The hotel itself is amazing…the decor throughout is really beautiful - modern and fresh but still with a classical feel. Our room was fantastic - very spacious and light and very well appointed throughout. The food in the hotel was excellent - the breakfast was fabulous and the food and drinks in the rooftop bar were also great. The rooftop bar has a great vibe - we spend a lot of time there enjoying the view and the great relaxing environment. The hotel is without a doubt spectacular - truly 5 star - but it’s their incredible people that really take it to the next level. Just to mention a few amazing team members - Agustin and Randi on the front desk, Matias, Edward, Fernando, Sebastian and Pedro in the restaurants, and Gabriel and Felipe on the door…but every staff member was friendly, personable, and incredibly helpful. Customer service overall at the hotel was exceptional.

This is a fantastic hotel and I’m so delighted we stayed there. It’s in a league of its own. The service was exceptional and staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with great yoghurts and muesli, nuts, seeds, eggs, cold cuts and bread. We had dinner at rooftop restaurant one night. Also very good. Beds large and comfortable. The building has been tastefully redesigned as a hotel with cute, intimate spaces. There’s a lolly jar and drinks in library. I liked the central location near good restaurants and museums and near the metro. What more can I say!

Couple of small things:The paper napkins, although embossed with hotel logo were cheap and very small. Loo roll not great either

Staff was very friendly told us to try the Pisco Sour on the Rooftop Terrace Bar which we did right after arriving! It was soooo good we had several. The young musician in the bar was very talented and it was fun to see his family cheering him on. The room was large, clean and modern and the bathroom huge. They also did the nicest thing that we didn't even ask for. We had a late flight (11pm... after a 12 day cruise) and were going to leave our 6 bags of luggage at the desk for the day but they called and let us "stay" in the room! So after we walked around Santiago all day we were able to shower and organize for the flight home before the taxi arrived, that they arranged and charged to the room. Made the forlorn end to our long vacation much more pleasant. Highly Recommend!!

The closet was a bit small, mostly b/c I had a huge hanging bag. The Terrace Bar does allow smoking, but we were able to move far enough away so it worked out.

Really well located for bars restaurants cafes and the Plaza de Armas. This hotel is so interesting , beautifully designed with nice spacious rooms . The staff are so friendly and helpful and really do everything possible to ensure you have a good stay. Breakfast is beautifully presented in an atrium style dining area . There is a lounge area to sit and browse an array of books with a free glass of fizz early evening. We enjoyed dinner on the roof terrace. When we had early starts the kitchen provided us with a packed breakfast and also organised pick up from the airport and back to the airport, as we used the hotel as abase between trips to Atacama Desert and Easter Island .

There is nothing to dislike or complain about. We’ve booked to stay here again in March 2025

The Hotel Magnolia Santiago is a first class experience. The staff took such great care of me that I really felt like I was coming home when I stepped through the doors. The Rooftop Terrace is a wonderful experience and the food….SO good!! The location is perfect for seeing most of the things you’ll want to see and do. I was able to easily walk to many historical and fun places as well as many restaurants. I couldn’t have been happier with my Hotel choice.

The hotel staff was amazing. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well located for exploring Santiago on foot. The rooftop restaurant/bar was terrific. We had terrific cocktails and appetizers. Hotel manager Yranis Linares was particularly helpful - he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We had a challenging situation with a scam car ride from the airport to the hotel, and Mr. Linares did an amazing job handling everything for us and ensuring we felt safe.

Hotel Magnolia is just beautiful - so tastefully designed with a pared back, curated Art Deco feel. The bedrooms are cool and spacious and, once again, exquisitely designed. Your balcony is very private with a good amount of foliage separating you from your neighbours and it's great to just watch Santiago from up high including towards the San Cristobal Park. The room has a fridge and a selection of snacks and drinks on sale. The lovely bathroom offers gorgeous toiletries. There's a real laid back feel about the place but it's worth wandering around to see some the public rooms - stunning. The roof top bar is lovely too with a seating area for food and then cushioned area to relax with drinks. It's not open terribly late though so if you're hoping for a late night cap then it will be on your own balcony. Breakfast is served downstairs and there is also champagne on offer although we didn't partake. I'm wishing now that we had started the day with a Mimosa!

The noisy fans on the terrace! It was like sitting behind a 747 although staff did turn them off on request. The 'whipped' butter at breakfast - maybe it was for American tastes though as most of the other guests seemed to be from the USA. Us Brits like salty, sold butter!

We had a very nice stay at the Magnolia Hotel and we were not disappointed with what we found. The location is ideal for a short stay in Santiago with the park nearby..(avoid Mondays as closed and we were also unlucky the funicular to the zoo was closed). Reception staff were very helpful. We had arrived early in the day and they were able to have our room available ahead of the regular check in time. Food was good on the Terrace and with warm weather is a pleasant place to spend an evening. Breakfast was excellent. Room was spotless and quiet.

Our only disappointment was that we were surprised to find that if we wanted to pay in local Pesos a 19% ‘tax’ would apply. Also we had them arrange a car to take us to the airport at 8:30 and at 8:15 the maid was ‘demanding’ to clean our room. I can only assume she was seeking her ‘tip’ but did appear rude (and intimidating).

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to discover downtown Santiago. The hotel is in a quiet street next to the Santa Lucía hill, very close to the busy downtown area but away from the noise and chaos. The hotel has been beautifully carved into one or two old buildings with Art Nouveau details, and is very tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable, the terrace lovely, the restaurant excellent, and the staff very helpful. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Lastarria neighborhood, which has several trendy restaurants.

A minor detail: my room was on the second floor and directly above the restaurant or kitchen, so it could be a bit noisy at times. Downtown Santiago can also be a bit dangerous, especially at night, but nothing to be concerned about if you take the proper precautions.
