The hotel is huge for a boat, we expected a much smaller barge but there was plenty of space. The river view rooms are great with double opening doors to your view. Unfortunately as we were a group it’s hard to keep the noise down all of the time and I’d say this property is much more suited to couples on a relaxing break as the walls are quite thin. The property has a great restaurant and bar with a nice seated area - this is on a separate boat next door! It’s in a great location with a strip of small bars such as (a)void and it’s a less than 20 min walk into the old town. I think this was perfect as we were away from the really busy areas with a nice walk along the river to the centre. We really loved our stay!

The bathroom is quite small and dark but didn’t take away from the lovely room

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the Dancing House and several interesting restaurants along the embankment. It's also within walking distance of the main attractions. The room was very cozy with a comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the breakfasts, which are served in the restaurant right next to the hotel. They are definitely worth the price.

Our room was not soundproof, and we could hear everything happening at the reception in detail. It was also a bit inconvenient that our windows faced the embankment, as we couldn’t keep the curtains open without being visible from outside. Perhaps it would be better to book a room with a river view for more privacy

We stayed here off season for 2 nights, so it was very quiet all around. The location was great, not too near all the tourism, but close enough to see everything. The staff greeted us very warmly by name upon arrival. She informed us that our room would not be available on the Matylda due to technical issues, but on the Klohilda we recieved a free upgrade. She spoke perfect english and helped us get our car situated in a nearby parking garage for 18€ a day (24hours) - Do take this offer. You won't find anything for less nearby. We were able to get a table without reservation on the neighboring boat for dinner. It did fill up quick, so even off season you may need to reserve in advance. It was fantastic. I do recommend getting a meal there. The atmosphere was good, wait staff were friendly, spoke english and we were able to pay by card. For breakfast we could order something from a menu, plus there was drinks, fruit, yogurt and bread available, buffet style. All was very fresh and nicely presented. I also recommend taking the breakfast for 12€. We only ate breakfast the first day, and on the second morning elsewhere, because we like to try out more than one place. For those worried about getting "seasick" at night - no worries. I only noticed small waves twice, which may have been imagined. Even so, the beds are so comfortable and the bedding was very cozy.

Under the bed was a little dusty. Also, our towels were replaced even though we left them hanging. Personal eco choice on that one though.

It was an unforgettable experience. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The restaurant was first class. The service food and decor are wonderful. Everyone tried very hard to ensure we had a great stay and we did.

The room cleaning was a bit unclear. During the whole time (4 nights) nothing was cleaned, and one small towel was left on a bed. The waste basket was not emptied and it was too small to hold anything under the sink in the bathroom. I do hate to complain about this when everything was wonderful on the boat, but it did detract a bit from our stay.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was a really central location and lovely to stay on the river. Everything was easily walkable. I had wondered if it would be cold on the boat but it was really warm and you could easily control the temperature using the thermostat in the room. The shower was really powerful and the bed comfy. The staff were all polite and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

We weren't so keen on the breakfast and only had it once, but that was personal preference and there were lots of other places to eat locally.

Location was perfect, river view was absolutely beautiful, beds were very comfortable and spacious. Room size was decent. Trams right outside that can take you all over the city and all the room Facilities were great. Housekeeping daily. Host onsite 24/7 and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely too. Overall our stay was worth every penny and we will very likely be returning in the near future.

Walls were very thin, could hear entire conversation next door. 5 in 1 body, face hands and hair wash not ideal. Expected individual items when listing stated toiletries included.

I love the concept of a Botel! The location for this one is quite convenient. Staff were all very friendly and the furnishing was well maintained. I opted for their breakfast-next-day option which had to be booked in advance.. as I had a flight the next day and was only transiting this lovely botel, they offered a good selection. There are many shops/stores nearby… I stumbled upon a Japanese restau, a good bakery, a matcha cafe… plus there’s a grocery store across the street which all adds to the convenience.

I checked in late because of my evening flight and wasn’t able to dine at their restaurant since it’s always full. The electric fan in my little solo room wasn’t working but I didn’t bother asking the staff to fix it since I was too tired from my flight, just wanted to rest. The toilet door of my room (#24) was really tough to open and close. That’s it, everything else is perfect. Would stay again but will pick a bigger room next time :) Note that not all taxis would enter the road down to the hotel so you need to walk down a bit, the same applies for when leaving the hotel.

Setting on the Vltava River with classic decor. Cozy leather seating and a scenic open deck – but it's only open during summer time so we did not get to experience it. The atmosphere is intimate, with rooms offering river views. Helpful and friendly staff but in restaurant side english is limited. The boat is in central location, near landmarks like the Dancing House and within walking distance of Old Town, making it convenient for sightseeing.

Some rooms, particularly the standard ones, are cramped and not ideal for those who prefer more spacious accommodations. Being on a boat, the hotel has narrow hallways and limited mobility access, which might not be comfortable for guests with physical limitations. These issues are not dealbreakers though.

Be careful choosing which room when you book. One side is super small and tight. Luckily we didn't, we chose the Executive so it was perfect for us! It's an old boat so lots of creaking but beautifully polished and nice interior. The restaurant was great as well! Highly recommend the Matylda Botel & Ristorante!

Nothing really. Bed is rather stiff and the TV is not meant for Americans. Only two channels (BBC & CNN international) in English. But still a great place to stay.

Location was fantastic, walking distance to all central attractions and beautiful walk along the river quay side which offers bars and cafes. Quirky accommodation. Comfortable. Breakfast and dining available (all extra charge). Reception has helpful staff who can book taxis etc. There are two boats, one behind the other - our rooms were in Klotylda, the second boat, sat behind Matylda. Our room was more spacious than those on Matylda, so it's worth paying the little extra for a better room. The stairs on Klotylda were also less steep than those on Matylda. Despite being centrally located and next to busy road systems, it was quiet and quite peaceful.

Breakfast not included. Had to pay extra 11 Euro per person per day. The dining/ breakfast room/ bar were not generally available to people staying at the hotel unless you booked to eat there. While staff were helpful if you asked for anything, the general welcome/ friendliness of staff could be better. At times we felt uncomfortable and unwanted as if we were an inconvenience, especially in the dining room.
