the room I obtained after I changed it was very good, basic but large and clean with a balcony and a fantastic view over the trees. ( the first room I received was small without balcony with a view over the garbage area) the breakfeast is good in a fantastic garden. overall very good value

the staff is not so welcoming and helpful. In fact you have to know that there is two different hotels with separate buildings and different breakfeast place . It is only mentionned that the room you order is in a different building ( the annex) but its not mentionned that it is a different hotel actually. I don t like when things are not clear

Lovely large room. View overlooking the gardens and pond. Great little pizza restaurant on site, which was good value. Lovely old building with some beautiful rooms. Small pool on site.

Spa closed on days we wanted to use it. Insufficient staff in restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was a bit disappointing - always waiting for staff to provide coffee or missing items that had run out in the buffet. Our suite had an upstairs sitting room, but the windows were too high to see out of and there was no television in the sitting area, so one ended up in bed watching the television and might as well not have had the suite. Bit out of the way, so had to drive everywhere.

Great location, very nice rooms, good value for quality, nice breakfast, waiters are very good. Rooms are clean, nice and spacious, modern beds and furniture, remote for AC, TV,. Very nice restaurant with good chef and delicious food for fair prices. Villa Borghi is located in small town, close to this hotel is Milano city or Lago Maggiore which is ideal for travelers with car, because you can park your cars for free in hotel and see it and control from room window. Breakfasts are nice, I would appreciate more fresh vegetable or fruit, but qualitty of sweet pastry and breads is very good, and all breakfast in on very good level. Stuff was helpful and aslo when I prolonged staying for one day more and then was not sure if we could stay in same room, receptionist setted options and we stayed in same room. Nice spa services for fee, very nice swimming pool for free on the hotels garden - the garden is another benefit, if you travel with couple, you can enjoy waks around. The value of price and quality is fair and this staying for me was really good, I will be happy to go back

Little shame - for 4 star hotel the rooms or hotel services are not so equipped, not possible take some refresh after arrival, coffee, tea... after long way would be nice to refresh and take energy when restaurant is not opened yet or if is so late. Little difficult to catch sometimes work stuff, maybe hotel looks for more employees or there are not working so many, because we waited quite long time for receptionist also when we arrived on time to accomodate, after that I found worker who stayed on reception stayed in breakfast room on laptop, which took about half hour - unfotunatelly for us was heavy rain and we just waited for keys and check in and there was not any tel. number where we could call and ask where the stuff is...

Near airport, elegant setting with gardens near lake on first night in old hotel was great; modern second night at new hotel, was shorter stay since we came in late. This was fine also, good value, but old hotel is special. Good dinner options at 2 locations. Breakfast on site was simple but ordinary, average. But setting, and other assets, early breakfast take away, and kind staff made up for it. Bathrooms welll equipped, old hotel bathroom was spacious too. Lovely lamps, furniture, entry way in old hotel.

Stunning building with seemingly original decorations (ornamental wooden parquet floor, pictures, stucco) and a very large suite. Excellent beds, luxury bathroom (who can do without a chaiselongue and an original chimney :-)?). There is a vast surrounding park which is beautiful to see (we didn't walk around due to the weather). Staff are very friendly. We had dinner in the more casual restaurant (Scuderia) with excellent food; breakfast was good standard. As we stayed for just one night we did not check the Spa facilities. Absolute recommendation!

Location is quite central in the region, allowing you to reach Como and Majore Lake within 1h driving. The main building is absolutely fabulous, and the garden surrounding is splendid. Room are very spacious, neat, and quite enjoyable. Breakfast is quite various, and takes into account Gluten-Free allergies. There is a SPA (25€ extra per person for 2h)

There are actually 2 buildings: The main/beautiful one, and the "Annex". the annex is actually not so nice (outside and corridors speaking). Annex rooms are very nice though. If you do live in the main building, you are not "allowed" to go the swimming pool (not to disturb these who pay extra for their rooms). Same, Breakfast for the 2 buildings are separate (because, well, we shouldn't mix). And Honestly, for the Annex, please buy a coffee machine and let people push a button to make their own coffee (15 minutes to get first coffee, second coffee was cancelled after 15 minutes waiting).

This is an exceptional hotel building with own garden and view to the lake. Rooms are large and offer a stylish decoration. Rooms are well cleaned and ours held a king size bed. Hotel staff had excellent service attitude.

Beds are comfortable, but one would hope for a second pillow: one firm and one soft to choose from. Rooms in villa would also benefit from better sound insulation or hallway carpeting, as guests and staff moving in the hallway are now easily heard in rooms.

The location was great as we wanted a quiet, picturesque hotel away from the busyness of the bigger cities. The grounds of the hotel are large with tons of green space for walking, sitting outside and enjoying the serene atmosphere. The breakfast was good, much like the other hotels we stayed in. Plenty of pastries, cold meats and cheeses, yogurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, etc. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food in the pizzeria / restaurant was delicious and plentiful.

Besides checking into the hotel at the Villa Borghi (our hotel room was located in the Annex on the property) and exploring the villa to see how beautiful it was, there was no other reason for us to be in the Villa. It would have been nice to have the breakfast located in one of the rooms in the Villa, so that we could experience more of it.

Nice location and main house, friendly team, quiet hotel and area. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Nice pool and surrounding gardens. Good value for money.

Interior design of annex rooms very boring. Lighting not very good. Good choice at breakfast, but logistics/ layout is cluttered/ busy. Not easy to put your plate/ hot-plate lids anywhere whilst self-serving. Coffee from thermos dispenser warm/ cold resulting in many requests to staff for fresh coffee (then the drink was good!). No cushions on hard sun-loungers that made the pool experience a bit disappointing (and uncomfortable).

From entering the driveway we knew that this hotel was amazing. Wow what an entrance and an amazing building, so much character and history. Last night of our holiday so we booked to be near to Malpensa airport (within 30 mins) We ate at La Scuderia, stunning facility with friendly staff and amazing reasonably priced food. Breakfast was again wonderful, plenty of choice and friendly staff. Our room was in the main building and was quite large, have to say the bed was enormous :), shower was amazing and the towels were perfect! Well worth the money and if we were ever in the region again we would definitely come back
