Robin Hood's Bay is a lovely spot and I would highly recommend Thorpe Green House. Janet and Steve were wonderful hosts and the room was large, clean, very comfortable and (despite the weather) very warm. The breakfasts - including home baked bread - were also excellent. On the day I was due to leave I was caught out by a sudden, heavy snowfall which made local roads, including the A171 to Scarborough, impassable. Janet and Steve very kindly offered to put me up for one more night without charge - thank you so much!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, at Thorpe Green House Very spacious room, With a large bed and a large wardrobe, also coffee and tea facilities were provided. It was very clean and tidy, hosts were very friendly, if you need anything just ask. Not Far from Robin Hoods bay about a 20 minute walk downhill. There was a post office on station Road which was nearer the beach, which sold a few vegan pastries which was a bonus.

The only issue we had was the curtains let a lot of light in. The rooms would be better if they had blackout curtains this would make a huge difference.

Loved everything. Beautiful house and garden, warm and accommodating hosts, fabulous breakfast (home-made fayre, well cooked and served with pride) Room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfy. Huge bed. Little seating area was a nice touch. Shower was uncomplicated. Nice and hot. No ridiculous controls. Just how it should be. The hosts (and soppy dog!) Were so lovely. Unobtrusive, friendly, and nothing too much trouble. Stunning scenery. Walking distance to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby a short drive away.

Couldn't stay longer!

Loved the room we stayed in, the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The room had everything you'd need, with teas and coffees that got refreshed. Bathroom was lovely and clean and had a big shower with great pressure. Our hosts were very friendly and Janet gave us lots of recommendations of places to go and eat! Breakfasts were sublime, with fresh homemade herby sourdough, it was a real treat and we'll definitely be back!

The room was very clean and spacious. Location good for us as both Scarborough and Whitby not too far away. Janet and Steve are a lovely couple and very knowledgable about the area. Although this is a vegetarian hotel and we are not vegetarians this was not a problem. The full english breakfast was good quality food and set us up for the day. Janets homemade sourdough bread was really nice. Thank you both we enjoyed our stay with you.

Excellent bed and breakfast, the hosts were very helpful, the room was very clean with a view on the countryside, the bed very comfortable, spacious room with en-suite bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast served by the host every morning! we had a wonderful and relaxing time, we stayed 3 nights! I would definitely stay again and definitely recommend it!

A very nice B&B in a beautiful part of the country. The breakfasts were cooked to order and were good. The room had a nice big comfortable bed and the ensuite was fine

Our one suggestion would be to have lining on the curtains. The curtains were quite thin so it was full daylight in the room as soon as it became light outside

The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast absolutely fabulous. Great location to explore the area with a short walk to the local pub. Would definitely stay there again for a relaxing weekend.

Breakfast were excellent. You have options to pick from and really well made. For one day we asked for porridge and it was not a problem to make it.

The guest house was full of character, decorations were perfect for the age of the house ,hence being an old property .

The hosts were helpful,and welcoming,but not in your face.
