The most special place in the gorgeous location of Sidi Bou Said. The staff, especially Ibrahim who made sure all our needs were met especially during breakfast time and went out of his way during our stay. Also giving us a later check out enabled us to reach the airport fresh and stress free. The views are exquisite and each room is tastefully decorated in an individual way with attention to small details. Loved everything about this place! Thank you so much!

A very small thing but the basin in the bathroom was at a very strange angle and quite far back so when using meant water splashed everywhere, but this is a very small thing.

Dar Said is a very nice boutique hotel situated in a historical building in the very heart of Sidi Bou Said. The interior has a very authentic feeling, the rooms are cosy and equipped with very powerful heating (we visited in Jan), and breakfast offered quality food served by very gentle staff. Outside there's a picturesque garden with tangerine tree and a nice view to the sea. Parking is not as bad as some comments here imply - nothing hard for a decent driver and way more convenient than what you would get in similar places in European old towns. Overall, a very positive experience - that's why we returned to it at the very end of our trip.

The internet had tendency to be occasionally down in the mornings and it doesn't work at all in the bathrooms (which may be a plus ;) ). If your noise-sensitive, beware that this is an old building with old-fashioned wooden doors which don't perfectly isolate sounds coming from the courtyard. Although parking is not as inconvenient as some comments say, keep in mind that it is not administered by the hotel, what means that they don't take responsibility if something happens to your car. In my case, someone broke a rear light in my rental car. It turned out that it was an honest man who left his phone number and everything was fixed without additional costs for me, but you may not necessarily be as lucky as I was.

An amazing historical palace takes you to the past the view from the garden is phenomenal the room was really comfortable and very clean the ceiling is very high gives you the luxury of the place the facilities really great I really felt home the capacity of the visitors was small gives you the feeling that you are with your family it’s amazing I can’t say enough Sido Abu Said is the best location you can enjoy in Tunis the capital city i definitely recommend this place for all travellers

A lovely traditionally decorated Tunisian hotel, with picturesque inner courtyards, beautiful gardens and a decent-sized swimming pool. The location at the top of Sidi Bou Said provides panoramic views, and is out of the bustle of the main, very pretty, town (but only a 5 mins walk to taxis and 10 mins to the train station). The room was fairly spacious with a very comfortable bed on a mezzanine level. Breakfast was perhaps a bit limited, but good food, and freshly-cooked omelettes could be ordered. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tip: order fresh coffee black, it’s really good French press and if you want milk take the milk on the side. The cafe au lait is nowhere near as nice.

Disliked: Wi-fi can be unreliable, but a minor problem. Otherwise, loved everything.

Nice hotel with traditional style right in the core of beautiful Sidi Bou Said. Nice pool and breakfast. I have stayed there twice and been very satisfied. Next time I'll book the hammam and massage at the beginning of the stay.

There's no restaurant in the hotel but there's a restaurant very close buy. And other food options but of course it would be nice with some food to buy when you're chilling at the pool. No wine by the glass and not many drink options in the bar.

The Dar Said hotel itself is an absolute beauty. A perfect location in Sidi Bou Said, with a stunning view over the sea and the city. One of the best authentically decorated hotels we have ever seen. One can see that it was done with great care. Rooms are quiet, luxury, very comfy and clean, and the beds are very good. They have a lovely swimming pool and a beautiful garden where you can take your breakfast. Most of the staff is very friendly and prosessional. One tip though: if you would run in whatever kind of problem, don’t take it to the girls at the reception. They are not up for that. Take it to the front desk manager, and he will assist you in a professional, friendly and helpful way. All together I highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The pool area was a great size and very private, we were able to get food and beverages brought to our table. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to restaurants and sights. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming.

The breakfast room is small and it gets crowded very quickly. We had to eat out in the garden, which was a bit of a pain because it’s a buffet style breakfast, so we’re in and out all the time, carrying food and coffee.

We loved our stay. The room was spacious and clean with everything provided! Breakfast good, big pool with towels and the staff is super friendly and helpfull! Location is perfect! Right in the center of Sidi Bou said but very quit street!

The poolbar wasn’t open for lunch or snack. We could only order drinks or food from the restaurant across the street (wich is delicious but very pricy)

Service was excellent despite issues at check in. The hotel worked to resolve our problems and were very nice and understanding in the process. The hotel restaurant is quite good for seafood and the view over the Mediterranean is gorgeous. There is a masseuse who came to the room for a massage when we arrived which was a welcome and nice touch. Plentiful hot water with a really great shower — everything worked well and was nice overall.

The booking process was a mess. There was no ocean view from our room despite having booked an upgraded room guaranteeing one. Apparently there is a glitch that is booking.com’s fault, listing rooms with amenities that don’t exist here, so be mindful of that. All rooms are listed with an ocean view and we were informed that only three actually have it. The hotel was very apologetic but had no other rooms, so they gave us a partial refund on the room and dinner at the restaurant. I am very impressed at how they handled the issue and would stay here again, in a room with a view. Very hard to find and no direct car access.

best view in all of Sidi Bou Said - have your breakfast on the terrace garden (lovely garden), authentic decor, lovely staff Maryam, Ons and the gentleman (cant remember his name). Went out of their way to look after our every need. The Suite was lovely, the pool area secluded and quiet. A very memorable experience and will refer this hotel to all my friends and relatives. Superb location in centre of Sidi Bou Said
