location, traditional hospitality, great check in staff! the junior suite are awesome for a family or group of friends.

there was one staff member at Breaky, Aruna or Anura …a captain or supervisor looking after the exit to the garden section. the guy could 1 help his junior staff and 2 he could seriously upgrade his jacket size because it’s about to burst. We requested a table outside, with one table availability he decided to ignore our request and say no tables was available but was happy to give the same table to Caucasian 2 guys to grab a quick bite and leave. you should look after local tourist as much as overseas, one we could be expats, two we all know who visited local hotels during covid lockdowns and Easter attacks.

The breakfast was good mix of local as well as continental cuisines. Really liked fresh fruits and availability of 'Halal' food items on the menu.

I had reserved six rooms for a four-night stay and timely intimated for an early check-in at the hotel, aligning with our flight itinerary. Despite this, upon arrival, we were not accommodated with the early check-in, resulting in a prolonged wait of seven hours in the lobby. Considering that my colleagues and I had endured a journey exceeding 18 hours, this delay significantly compounded the discomfort of our travel experience. Experiencing a delay in check-in after a long flight was indeed exhausting and frustrating.

Location: The hotel’s location is excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Stay Experience: We booked two deluxe rooms, and our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, offering a comfortable experience. Condition: The hotel is in excellent condition. The rooms are not only spacious but also feature a lovely balcony that overlooks the pool, adding a touch of tranquillity to our stay. Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Every area, from the rooms to the common spaces, was well maintained standards. Dining: We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The meals were excellent and offered great value for money. Although the food was a bit spicy for our taste, this is a subjective preference, and the overall spread was impressive and diverse. Staff: The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. One standout moment was when they called us to check about breakfast when we were running late, ensuring we didn’t miss it. This level of attentiveness and care was truly exceptional. Value for Money: The hotel offers excellent value for money. The quality of the rooms, amenities, and services provided met our expectations. Pool: The pool was excellent, both in terms of size and cleanliness. It provided a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Overall: Our overall experience at the hotel was fantastic. From the excellent location and pristine condition of the rooms to the attentive staff and great dining options, everything contributed to a memorable stay. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

The rooms were 5 star worthy with a beautiful view, size was really nice and the staff had been super friendly and nice. The breakfast buffet was good with a big selection. For dinner there was live music. The dinner buffet on a Saturday was offering a wider selection of food.

We arrived on a Saturday where the dinner buffet was offering a bigger selection of food and set the bar higher, which was not matched on the following nights. Dinner was available starting at 7 p.m., we arrived directly at 7 where we spotted some nice chocolate cream for desert which we eyeballed at. When we came to desert at around 7.45 pm the desert was already gone and they told us there where no refill comming, which for a 5* hotel I'm expecting the offered food remains longer than 45 minutes. The shower was not able to keep its temperature and was changing from lukewarm to nearly boiling hot. Also something I'm expecting different from such an establishment.

We only booked two nights at the hotel, but were so comfortable and happy, we booked another night - what more can I say! Everything from the friendly and helpful personnel, room / pool services, buffet meals and additional amenities were fantastic, I cannot fault Earl's Regency Hotel. Also, must be one of the best pools I've ever experienced. Eye opening clean, nestled into the surrounding rock outcrops and waterfall, with a proper Sri Lankan forest view that gets kissed by the setting son in the evening. The hotel's location is great and easily accessible and 15min away from Kandy Lakes and the beautiful and intriguing city and all it has to offer. I will miss waking up and going outside on my balcony overlooking the lush green forests of Kandy, the beautiful pool and later walking across an impressive and pretty bridge to some of the best food I had in getting ready for my day.

Not much wasn't enjoyed, especially in the case of the hotel. Although, I thought its good to mention that when travelling in and around to your daily attractions - we travelled most days by taxi - and often felt nauseous. I think this can be said about travelling anywhere in the mountainous regions of Sri Lanka. Best to take a tuk-tuk, you might scare your pants off, but the fresh air helped a bit, and/or hire a car for the long roads and drive the way you want to drive. If you don't get motion sickness then disregard.

My stay at Earl’s Regency was nothing short of amazing! The hotel staff, known for their friendliness and warmth, truly made my experience delightful. The room, which was both large and spotlessly clean, provided a comfortable haven. What added an extra layer of charm to my stay was the breathtaking mountain view from the room balcony. Waking up to such a picturesque scene was a highlight of my visit. The bathroom, equipped with both a shower and bath, added to the overall convenience. Earl’s Regency boasts an impressive collection of Sri Lankan and English foods, making dining a delightful experience. The hotel's swimming pool, including a baby pool, provided a refreshing way to relax, complementing the overall leisurely ambiance. I highly recommend Earl’s Regency for its excellent staff, spacious and clean rooms, diverse food choices, and the added bonus of a magnificent mountain view from the balcony. It truly made my stay memorable and special!

Everything about this hotel was amazing and we loved it as soon as we came up the driveway and walked in! The size, location, the old-style grandeur, the courteous and welcoming staff, the good breakfast all added to a great experience! For a 5-star hotel trying to be more ecologically and environment-friendly, it was quite disappointing to see little cakes of hand soap still being provided and that too of quite poor quality! Please switch to liquid soap dispensers soonest. Another slight disappointment was that the discount offered on F&B was restricted to their King's Court restaurant whereas it would've been great to have that applied to all eating outlets.

Great location along the river. Classy and upmarket. Great breakfast with very accommodating staff and really great views. The garden is well taken care off and creates a love feel. It had a touch of a Sri Lankan feel with your standard big hotel luxury feel that you would expect from a Radison Blu which is quite impressive unless you are looking for a more bespoke experience. View from Breakfast is incredible and took our breath away.

Certain elements in the room felt like they needed a deep clean for example the sofas in the room. The entertainment area was good with nice gardens, pool, gym, spa and bar areas but the games area was sadly closed. The extras services at the hotel were very expensive

The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the hills nearby. The reception and restaurant team were excellent in their customer connect and responses. The food was very good with lots of variety and the bar had nice comfortable seating to relax. Overall an excellent experience.

Many Indians, even those who eat non vegetarian food, prefer a wider range of vegetarian options. Good to plan that. Also , it is better if the vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes are not kept in the same place to avoid confusion, specially for those who may be very strict in their veg requirements.

The location of the hotel has a scenic beauty of the mountain range and the Mahaweli river. In the morning you will be greeted by the twittering of beautiful birds that will make you feel like you are living in the wilderness. The staff were extremely polite and they greeted us everywhere we saw them. We absolutely enjoyed the room that they provided us as a triple room which happened to be a suite. This room was spacious and luxurious. We requested for wheel chair access and were provided a wheel chair for our entire duration of our stay. This helped me a great deal as I was able to take my father to meals and around the hotel according to our time preference.

I had a small issue at the time of check in due to the room not vacated on time by the other guest. Which delayed our check in. The manager went out of his way to make sure we had a clean and tidy room. (Kudos)
