What a fantastic place! Like taking a step back in time. The books on the table in the entrance hall were fascinating and the pictures etc on the walls really interesting. The design and - presumably - attempt to keep the decor as close to the original was great as well. The staff were excellent, and we were shown around some of the closed areas before we left which we really appreciated.
We had to ask for the hot water to be turned on so we could shower, but that wasn't surprising considering the cost of power. I suspect the floors were swept rather than vacuumed so the carpets on stairs and in rooms were rather dusty, but the place was otherwise very clean.

This is the place to stay in Bulawayo, beautifully renovated Gentlemen's club, this hotel is like an oasis. Nice atrium and lounge that cools you down. The rooms are not that cool as they are in 2nd floor, under the roof but there is/are ventilators (no AC in my room). Clean modern rooms and bathroom and a sufficient breakfast. City center walkable and carpark in the backyard (reachable by a small alley before the hotel -not signposted). Personnel is also very nice.

There's a lot of history here, and the hotel feels extremely atmospheric. The public areas have been well-maintained, albeit some things have run done, e.g. the elevator was not working, and the corridors on the upper level could use some refinishing. The staff also felt pretty minimal, but those who were there were friendly and helpful. The location is great, and we felt very safe walking in the neighborhood. We ate both breakfast and dinner here and the food was fine.
Carrying our suitcases up all those stairs. (I counted more than 60). Getting into the parking area is a bit of a challenge, but at least there is parking.

Bulawayo club is more than a hotel! By staying here, you get a taste of what travel and lodging were like a century ago. The building, furnishing and overall experience brings you back to the early 1900s, and yet the hotel provides great comfort for modern travelers. It's really like an oasis as you travel through Zimbabwe. While located in the city center, it's very safe, and quiet enough at night for you have a good rest. Strongly recommended!

received professional services here. The whole building is like a museum, where you can always read from the paintings, displays and even the facilities. It's a place where you feel the time back 100 years ago and it really like a "time machine"! But also surprisingly, the room is very clean and modern, looks like newly decorated ones. We spent great time here.
Lack of staff, though the team now is already great but think more staff will make things easier, especially the kitchen service.

Very special old fashioned and very British or Zimbabwean club accommodation. In the center of the town. Very caring and attentive staff. So special Charme ! Number one ! A must to overnight in Bulawayo. So special! The chef delivers real good food! Fish and chips are worth a sin ! Go for it ! Safe parking. Attractive price! A living museum in a positive sense ! Highly recommended!!! Always again!!!!
Super!

Location excellent Style and history of the place is unique - this is surely the big selling point Staff delightful and always friendly and helpful
Breakfast is always a 'full English' with no options and nothing healthy at all - coffee and tea good but surely omelette/porridge and fruit could be available as options at least? WiFi is very patchy - may be an issue for anyone here for work (which many seemed to be including me)

This is certainly an unusual place to stay. The location is central, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and breakfast was fine.
The Club is certainly a step back in time. But also perhaps the ghost of what it was. The rooms are on the second floor, with dining and meeting rooms on the first floor. I ate in the hotel in the first night and had to wander around the whole of the first floor looking for someone. Eventually walked into the kitchens any called out to find someone to give me a meal. Being the only guest in a large dining room runs counter to the idea of the ‘Club’.

A step back in time. Bulawayo is full of interesting architecture from bygone eras and the Club is one of them. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, and I’m amazed how the club has been kept up given the current economic trials Zimbabwe has at the moment. Some rooms are street facing, so if you’d prefer not to hear the hustle and bustle, ask for one that faces the courtyard.
The hot water in the shower was quirky … but perseverance sorted it out!

The Victorian ambiance of the Club is phantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms at the backside are very quiet despite the Club is located in the busy city center. The full english breakfast is good. Excellent laundry service. Private parking available.
Sometimes Wifi is quite slowly and the pressure of the water at the shower poor.
