Great location on the lake and a few minutes walk from the centre

Breakfast the same every morning. Could do with a bit of variety. Also the bedding was not changed at all during our week long stay.

Great hotel in a great location overlooking the lake and within easy walking distance to the centre of the town. We ate in the hotel restaurant several times and found the selection and quality of the food very good, the pizza was one of the best we have eaten. The room was a bit quirky with steps up and down to the bathroom and the balcony but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. All the staff were very pleasant and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the front desk organised a taxi back to the station which arrived spot on time. Would definitely return to this hotel.

The location was awesome, right by the water. The room was a reasonable size and the facilities were good. The breakfast was amazing! And great to have a pool and restaurant on site. Staff were helpful.

Just could be noisy some nights with people hanging around directly under our windows.

Staff on reception, and especially the restaurant and bar staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although the pool was not large, it never felt crowded - and (even visiting in August peak), there were always sunbeds available. Location right on the seafront was ideal; just on the edge of the town, so only a 5 minute stroll along the front to the harbour and the town with plenty of small restaurants and bars. Desenzano is a lovely little town, a great place to spend a few days.

It was a bit warm in the breakfast room, even early in the morning which was slightly uncomfortable. But that's about the only negative thing we can think of!

Positives -very good location. We were very lucky (thank you hotel Estee) to have a huge terrace overlooking the lake which was stunning with fabulous views. Restaurant food particularly good and bar staff excellent . The swimming pool was refreshingly cold and generally quiet . Breakfast included and a good choice of continental and English style produce. No more than a 10 minute walk into town. Would I stay again -most definitely

Negatives -Breakfast staff slightly surly on occasions and it would be better to have plastic glasses round the pool. Bathrooms need updating .

The location was right at the lakeside. It was a short walk by the lake to the town and harbour. we had a superior lake view room with a large terrace.The view was one of the most spectacular and beautiful I have ever experienced in a hotel in my life. The hotel had an old world quality that was pleasant. Breakfast was good.The restaurant is outside the hotel, but lunch and dinner was served inside on a day we had a terrible tropical storm.

Nothing really. The shower door was a bit flimsy and rattley.

We had a ground floor room with a lake view which was stunning. Convenient for the local station & close to all the restaurants & cafes.

Some of the staff on reception had very limited English language skills which created confusion when we tried to book a taxi prior to departure, as we were traveling by train & needed to be at the station for a specific time, this was very stressful. The breakfast options were limited for a 4* hotel. No glasses in the bedroom only a plastic cup each, again a surprise for a 4* hotel.

Loved this location & the pool!! Close to city center with many restaurants and shops and also right on the water! A lovely small pool with lounge chairs that we enjoyed every day (it was a very HOT mid-August visit). If you are visiting the area in the peak summer season a pool is a must :) They also have a nice bar/restaurant outside right above the pool that you can get drinks/food from & enjoy poolside. The rooms/bathrooms were also very spacious. We had a triple and still had plenty of extra room to move around in. Breakfast was included & wonderful- they had everything from eggs/meats/cheeses/pastries/fruit/coffee/juices/cakes/breads/etc. The staff was very helpful & answered any questions we had. It is a bit of a trek to the train station (about 12-15 min uphill from hotel to train) so we took a cab to train with our luggage to beat the heat- cost about 10 euros. Definitely great for families & I believe pet friendly (I saw a few guests with small dogs, but check their site to be sure). I would definitely stay there again!

Since we were there during a heatwave the rooms could have used a standing fan (or ceiling fan would be even better but more costly) in addition to the weak AC units in the rooms to help circulate the air better. Also some fans in the breakfast rooms would have been great too. It was very hot while eating breakfast. I just don't think the older AC units they had could accommodate that level of heat/humidity. It was approx 95 C while we were there.

The location was fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Francesco also Julia who even offered to bring us to the train station by car as taxi service was busy. The household staff and breakfast waiter were very obliging at all times. We would have liked if the restaurant offered sandwiches such as panini’s. The view of the lake from our terrace room which is actually on the 1st. floor was great. I would recommend terrace rather than balcony room as same are very small. The hotel is rather quaint which we liked but it’s more like a 3 star from our experience. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Desenzano for restaurants and ferry service. There is a lovely lakeside walkway with access right next to hotel.

The pool was icy cold so we couldn’t enjoy this facility which was very disappointing as its location is fabulous overlooking the lake. One cannot swim in lake either in front of hotel. When we did swim in the lake at Padenghe beach is was actually warmer than the hotel pool.

Good location, amazing views of Lake Garda from very clean rooms.

Breakfast staff a little unfriendly, one morning a family member hadn’t really felt like breakfast so sat with us & took some pre-packaged biscuits to eat later and she was told this was not allowed and made to feel uncomfortable .
