It took around a 10-minute walk from the train station—not too far, but with luggage, it was a bit of a struggle. However, the hotel was so nice and pretty. They offered free infused drinks and welcoming cookies. The receptionist was also very friendly, and as a bonus, he was cute! The hotel had a small gym and a garden. Our room even had a terrace where we could relax. It was close to restaurants and other shops, and also near Lake Geneva. We enjoyed complimentary drinks in the room, and everything was perfect for our stop before catching our flight the next day.

Hotel is in a great location and, once you have figured out where to park, is easy to get to. The room was comfortable, and quiet (my room was away from the street) It's close to restaurants, and guests can use a microwave in the foyer.

Lift was almost too small for my lightweight mobility scooter - which I needed to use as the car parking is at a distance. Note that there is also only stair access to the terrace. If you have difficulty with stairs it may also be wise to check where breakfast is served.

Christelle and her staff are very welcoming and kind, and quick in their responses to communication. I loved the atmosphere and decor, beautiful colours and handpicked furniture, little corners to read and a terrace. Totally befitting the art déco tradition of Évian. The location is perfect in the middle of town and close to the lake. A great view across the roofs to the church and a glimpse of the lake from my room. An unpretentious, genuine and warmhearted place.

Nothing to dislike

Wonderful old hotel that was exceptionally comfort. The fact that the hotel was in a no parking area was nothing more than a slight inconvenience as it wasn’t far to carry our overnight bags. The reception was very helpful and solved a number of queries regarding amenities etc. Free parking is available between 19:00 and 09:00 and lots of places are available but one may have to search! We fell in love with Evian and the hotel and stayed a second night. We have altered our itinerary so that we go back there at the end of our holiday.

Good size room which was tastefully decorated. The bathroom and the shower worked very well. The one criticism was that the heating in the room was not turned on until late in the evening and therefore the room was a bit cold late afternoon/early evening.

The heating as mentioned in point 3. The heating should be switched on early especially on colder days.

Location - 7 minute walk from the Lausanne ferry, 11 minute walk to the station (direct trains to Geneva). In a pedestrian street close to the tourism office. Quiet. Plenty of good cafes nearby if you don't want the 12 euro hotel breakfast. Room - ask for a superior room on the 4th (top floor). Both 42 and 43 have views across the rooftops to Lake Leman and the Jura mountains on the other side of the lake. The hotel. has a lift. Style - classical hotel fixtures and fitting, well maintained, immaculately clean. Price-quality ratio is excellent.

Mattress sagged a little but not uncomfortable. No kettle in room (but it is a 2-star)

Friendly Staff. The hotel is clean although the building is old. Central location in Evian. Good french breakfast (fits the price). We didn't use the terrace but it looked nice too. A kettle is available for tea or instant coffee.

The thick/hard pillows weren't what we are used to. This and the quite narrow double bed made the first night quite difficult. No soap holder in the shower, we had to put the provided shower gel on the floor.

Location was fantastic, right in the most active part of town. Hotel retains historic charm, and clean. My room looked on q quiet courtyard with a balcony. Staff was helpful and very welcoming of my dog. 100% would choose this again. Even the sources are near

Central location hotel with all amenities close by. Generally quiet, but there might be some noise in the front-facing rooms from trucks supplying shops in the early morning. Room with balcony was large and clean. Furniture was old but functional and in good condition - it adds to the style of the hotel. Nice courtyard at the back. Price was good. A very nice two star establishment! Would definitely stay again!

Central location in the heart of Evian with a bedroom window looking out over the main thoroughfare of the town, the bed was so comfy that when I first arrived, it took me almost an hour to get out of it! Highly recommended.

Noise from the bar next door audible through the bedroom window
