Location was ideal for what we required, literally less than two minutes across the road to the excellent beach, and good for the activities we had planned for the short stay. The famous bridges close to Ranville are just a 10 minute drive. Local restaurants are acceptable for a short stay.

When we booked this short stay via Booking.com we wrongly assumed that the price quoted was for bed and breakfast so were somewhat surprised to be charged extra for breakfast on arrival. The beach area of Merville can get very busy making car parking close to the hotel very difficult in the afternoon. We had to park some distance away until the area calmed down.

Despite hotel rules to the contrary, there were some instances of smoking and noise overnight from other rooms when there was no staff present (reception closes at 9pm). No air con or fans in room which became quite stuffy in summer heat so window had to be left open at night making these issues more intrusive. Having to pay to use hotel car park when parking outside is free seemed strange, perhaps free tokens or similar for hotel patrons should be considered.

Clean, modern, hotel with exceptional location truly “face à la mer”. The owners (husband and wife) and their staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Hearty breakfast is a good deal at 14 euros. Free parking right in front with plenty of space. Short ride 15 minutes to Cabourg with great sightseeing and restaurants.

Great location, easy car parking. A room at the front of the hotel will have a really good sea view. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Also, very easy to access the Britany Ferry terminal at around half an hour away

The location of the hotel is perfect right at the beach in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are very comfortable with a large bed. The breakfast buffet is exceptionally good and well worth the price. The staff was always friendly and forthcoming. The fitness room in the basement is a little extra.

The bathroom door offers very little privacy.

The location of the hotel right at the water front is perfect. The room with a sea view and balcony was superb.

The breakfast area was too tight, there was very little room to turn around. And also the breakfast itself was very basic. Wifi was very weak, could not use it.

A beautifully located and designed boutique hotel with very good breakfast. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

The little village was a bit off the track in mid September. All restaurants but one pizzeria were closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays. We were astonished how empty it was for the still high season prices.

The staff were very helpful, breakfast excellent and the room was cleaned to a very high standard every day.

Not really a complaint but we thought that the grey colour scheme very depressing especially at night. But that seems to be the fashion these days and the younger generations seem to like it. We must be getting old!
