The guest house is very well maintained, clean and cozy. The staff is very welcoming and ready to satisfy your needs or requests. You can tell they put all their love in managing the place. Loved the soft bed sheets and towels, and comfortable bed. The room and bathroom very clean and cozy. Would be going back.

It would be nice to have no dairy/vegan options for breakfast, mainly plant-based milk. However, I did not request that in advance when I booked. So I recommend asking it prior to your stay for vegan/lactose free/gluten-free options, as I'm sure they'd be able to satisfy your request.

Hosts were excellent and knowledgeable about sights worth visiting. Travelling alone and felt very safe and secure at Watermead House. Good quality food and cooked to perfection. Room spotlessly clean with everything I required. Can’t speak highly enough of hosts and accommodations. Will definitely return.

Watermead Guest House is an absolute gem of an accommodation. Trudy and David made us feel very welcome, chatted with everybody over home cooked breakfast and even gave us great tips where to find ammonites. The room was very cosy, clean and the view was lovely. We stayed for two nights but would prefer to stay much longer. I can definitely wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. Thank you, Trudy and David, for having us and pet Chester for us! :)

An excellent place to stay with a friendly welcoming couple that went out of their way to help. The room was spotless and very well set out, tea and coffee facilities, Alexa lights and large TV. The breakfast menu was vey good too. One of the few locations that I will be using again when I am in the area.

Very friendly hosts and welcoming . Our room was so comfortable and relaxing it was very lovely very hi- tech so you can request your breakfast turn on lights request extras . Nothing was to much trouble if we needed anything extra the hosts went above and beyond to get what you needed Breakfast was outstanding plenty of choice. It was in the right location and close to everything.

Lovely bed and breakfast just off to high street and near places to eat. New owners very helpful and friendly. We liked being able to choose our breakfast the night before. Will be back whenever we are in the area!

Would have liked a slightly bigger toilet and shower not being in the bedroom. Minor things though and it won’t stop us coming back as everything else is perfect!

Breakfast was amazing, chosen the night before on an app so there’s no waste! What a great idea! Location is fantastic, can walk into the high street for dinner! Parking fab! Jamie and Gary lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again when in the area!

Just a little note, bit slippery in the shower, maybe just add a bath mat to use but just a small suggestion!

We only stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer, on our way home from a holiday in Cornwall. We were greeted by Trudy who made us feel very welcome, she could see I had walking difficulties and offered to swap our room for another one, we declined and were so glad we did.Our room was at the top and the views were fantastic. The room, in fact the whole house was spotless. The breakfast was freshly cooked, to order, by David and was delicious. I don't usually like sausages, I ordered one expecting to pass it over to my husband, he was out of luck as I really enjoyed it, and my poached egg was cooked to perfection. Should also add car parking wasn't a problem, we could see our car from our room. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and hope we have an excuse to return again very soon.

Lovely place with perfect hosts and worked well as a base to explore the Jurassic coast. We had a room at the very top of all the stairs that was cute, clean and cosy. Big spacious bathroom with good shower and large sink and mirror set up. Yummy breakfast. Tracy and David (and Chester the dog) made us feel very welcome.

Nothing really. Room was hot but it was top floor in mid summer and fan provided. Maybe a mini fridge for the room could be helpful, especially in summer but the hosts allowed us to store a small milk carton (for tea and coffee) in the fridge in the breakfast room.

I recently stayed at Watermead B&B in Chard, Somerset, and it was a wonderful experience. I was there just for the night, but it felt like a mini-vacation. The house is detail-oriented, and the rooms are so comfortable and fresh. From the plentiful parking to the nice, comfortable beds, the friendly hosts leave you with no doubt at all that they want their guests to enjoy their visit, and they'll go out of their way to make sure you are happy. After a restful night's sleep, you'll be served a delicious breakfast cooked fresh to order. There's no better way to start the day.
